Mountain Sitting Immortal
Chapter 591: Two Chicken.
At that time, she knew that the other sects were weaker than the Blood Skull sect. But she didn't know by how much weaker.
In her ignorance, she thought that it was a better idea to be the head of a chicken in the Purple Flower sect than to be the neck of another chicken or just one of the numerous tail feathers of that bird in the Blood Skull sect.
She has since learned that things weren't like that. She is indeed the head of the chicken that is the Purple Flower sect, but the chicken is crippled and weak.
It is unlikely that she would have reached the fifth mortal coil if she had joined the Blood Skull sect through the A grade admission. But if she did, she would surely be stronger as a nascent soul cultivator and also have a bright future ahead of her.
There is also the fact that throughout the time she was at the second, third, and fourth mortal coil, she was weaker than her counterparts in the Blood Skull sect even if they gained admission through the A-grade admission. This was because they possessed armaments.
Armaments are also another thing that she didn't know that the Blood Skull sect had and no one else had. It is also another source of her regret. Unfortunately, there is nothing she can do about her regret now.
Most times, she believes that she made the right choice because competition in the Blood Skull sect is too fierce, and her lack of compatibility with the wood and lightning elements would have meant that her chances of reaching the fifth mortal coil would be slim in the Blood Skull sect.
Her situation in the Blood Skull wouldn't be so good as what she had in the Purple Flower sect, where, when she needed to advance to the fifth mortal coil, no one was there to compete with her for the support of the sect.
Her incredible talent and high compatibility with the cultivation technique of the Purple Flower sect meant that she was able to monopolize the resources of the sect. But sometimes, she feels cheated and deceived for joining the Purple Flower sect.
The first time that she felt this way was that night when Sword Flash sneaked into her cultivation room to test the strength of the most talented cultivator of the Purple Flower sect in all of its history. But back then, she was mostly jealous of his talent.
However, when she reached the fifth mortal coil and became a patriarch of the sect, she learned that the way forward was gone and that their cultivation technique was crippled. This made her begin to feel that she had been deceived more often.
Arthur's presence has only reminded her of what she lost by not joining the Blood Skull sect. She doesn't know what level of transformation he has reached, but she can tell that he is a very young and talented golden core cultivator who is more powerful than he should be.
She is sure that he is talented because someone of his age has a power output that can match the power output of older golden core cultivators like Green Viper and Pale Shadow who are at the sixth transformation of the golden core.
From what she can sense, Arthur's power output is at 4C, or 4 million F. This is just a little bit weaker than Green Viper with a body at level 70, a life force of level 70, and a golden core power of 900 units.
This means that Green Viper can output power that is 70 × 70 × 900, which is equal to 4,410,000F or 4.41C. So Green Viper should be able to defeat Arthur in a fight. This is why she was confident in promising Green Viper an opportunity to beat him up.
When she thought of her promise to Green Viper, she said, "I hope he will be satisfied with this concession, or I will have to use my other option on him."
She snorted and said, "He better be satisfied with defeating this talented Lightning Tyrant, as this is the only chance he will have to do something like that. He certainly won't have the opportunity to do so in the future."
She didn't want to have to temporarily sever Green Viper's body from his soul, but she will do so if he takes things too far.
With her mind made up, she looked around to check the environment. When she didn't sense anything amiss, she returned to the sect.
After a while, she returned to the exact same spot and checked everywhere. But she still didn't sense anything.
This made her furrow her brows and ask herself, "Was I mistaken?"
It appeared that she was mistaken because there was nothing out of place at the edge of the formation. So she had to give up being suspicious and finally returned to the sect.
But what she didn't know was that a new tree had appeared in the forest within the sect, close to the formations protecting the sect.
This new tree was very different from other trees around it. It had appeared within the Purple Flower sect at the exact same time that Arthur had been flagged by the formation for trying to smuggle four golden core cultivators into the sect.
So this tree had used that event as a distraction to sneak into the sect. Now that the tree successfully gained entry into the Purple Flower sect, she felt proud of herself.
Patriarch Evergreen said proudly to herself, "Now no one can say only Sword Flash has managed to sneak into the Purple Flower sect."
This tree is an avatar of hers. It is not her real body. So she has sneaked into the Purple Flower sect with an avatar while she was at the fifth mortal coil.
Compared to the fact that Sword Flash had managed to sneak into the Purple Flower sect with his true body when he was at the fourth mortal, her achievement is a little lacking. But she doesn't want to consider the difference in their cultivation level to be relevant.
