He didn't wait for them to return his greetings after that. He just excused himself and left in a hurry.

Green Viper watched him go and said, "I wonder what he wants to do with formation diagrams."

Pale Shadow assured him, saying, "I don't think he wants to use them to break our defenses. If he had that motive, he wouldn't have brazenly asked for them in the first place and also wouldn't have been unable to hide his excitement in front of us after receiving them."

"I think he just wants to study them and is excited to do so. He may just be a formation scholar or a fanatic that likes collecting precious formation diagrams."

Green Viper nodded in understanding. Then he said, "Anyway. I need to enter seclusion to seek a breakthrough. I can feel my body and core loosening and ready to expand."

Purple Vine nodded and said, "I'm not surprised. You haven't ejected so much energy at once in a long time or compressed your poison to such a level. It seems that you gained a lot from the fight."

Pale Shadow couldn't take it anymore. She said, "Senior sister. You have to help me arrange a fight with him. I want to break through too."

At any other time, Purple Vine would have dismissed the request. But this time was different because I had a selfish motive and was looking for ways to ruin the exchange program.

So she said, "I'll see what I can do."

The three of them discussed some more. Then they dispersed and went to do the different things needed to make the exchange program run.

It was Pale Shadow who did most of the work, though. Arthur and Green Viper were busy with their own things while Purple Vine was working towards ruining the exchange program and making things difficult.

Fortunately for the exchange program, Purple Vine couldn't be obvious with her actions because the patriarch was paying close attention to the exchange program. She could make some mistakes and couldn't openly antagonize Arthur.

Unfortunately for Purple Vine, Arthur mostly kept to himself. He didn't give her the opportunity to turn him against the Purple Flower sect, and the little things she was able to do didn't make him angry.

Thanks to Pale Shadow, the rest of the exchange program went without a hitch. Even though Arthur was mostly absent in presence or absent in mind whenever he was present in body, the exchange program went well.

Another thing that went well was the lottery program that Arthur held. He asked people to participate in the lottery by buying participation tickets. Then he gave the winner the money gained from the sale of the participation tickets.

He selected the winner himself. He didn't make this obvious, but he ensured that the person with the best fate got the prize pool.

He also gave some of the losers with good fates techniques that he got from the Milton family. So he managed to invest in a lot of people, and a lot of people were happy about the lottery.

Because he didn't limit the lottery to the people of the Blood Skull sect, the lottery was able to have a large impact on everyone. The impact was positive and made some of the people that didn't like him look at him in a different light.

So everyone was at peace for the months that the exchange program held on for. This pleasant atmosphere was only threatened by the fact that it was the people from the Blood Skull sect who won most of the games and ranked highest on the list.

This wasn't Arthur's problem, and he had even warned that it would happen, so he didn't concern himself with it when the atmosphere became frigid and the relationship between the two sects became caustic.

He focused mostly on learning formations. It was he who did most of them most of the time aside from doing his job of overseeing the exchange program.

Since he was most focused on formations, he only spared a portion of his attention for his job. The only time he focused completely on something else other than the formation diagrams was the time that he fought Pale Shadow.

The fight happened after Green Viper came out of seclusion with a cultivation of the seventh transformation. Pale Shadow became desperate and decided to offer him a lot of money to fight her.

This fight wasn't a public one. It was a private one that occurred far away from the sect and lasted until he defeated Pale Shadow.

The deal was for him to defeat her, not fight for ten minutes. Since she could recover her energy from atmospheric mana, it should take him longer to defeat her.

Despite this, the fight was somewhat easier because her body was weaker and easier to injure. This was why he defeated her even faster than he defeated Green Viper.

At the end of the fight, Pale Shadow left happily. She went to seclude herself. It was clear that she was satisfied with their deal.

Unfortunately, this meant that Green Viper had to take over for her. Green Viper took over overseeing the exchange program, and because he was too emotional, he quickly riled up the disciples of the Purple Flower sect into violence.

He wasn't happy that they were losing to the disciples of the Blood Skull sect so much, and he berated them. This made the disciples of the Purple Flower sect angry, and they decided to take their anger out on the disciples of the Blood Skull sect.

They began to break safety rules in games in order prioritize harming their opponents. The disciples of the Blood Skull sect were no slouch and quickly took offense and even retaliated.

This turned the games that were supposed to make the sects work together into a battlefield for the disciples of the two sects to fight. Just like that, sparks of violence began to fly around.
