CHAPTER 648: REASONABLE REQUEST.

The five glass swords flickered and disappeared into the sword box on the man’s back. Then the man patted the sword box with care and said, "Well done."

The sword box hummed in satisfaction. Its humming caused the earth to shake and the wind to become violent as it swept the land and pushed everything away.

The leader of the Red and Blue Fire sect saw the five jelly beings and briefly forgot about his pain. He became hopeful again because he saw the hope of recovering his loss in those five phantom beings.

After hope came anger. His anger made him not care for the disparity of power between himself and the man who had just appeared.

He asked, "Why did you do that? You didn’t have to do that. You didn’t have to be so heartless."

The man replied, "Because I had to. Someone had to do it. If not me, it would have been someone else. Your sect is doomed. It cannot be allowed to exist anymore."

The leader of the Red and Blue sect heard this and understood what the man was saying. What he understood made his face go pale in terror.

But he didn’t give up. He said with anger, "Give them back. Give me back my family."

What he made was a reasonable request. After all, he was asking for his loved ones back.

But the man said, "No. They are spoils of war, so they belong to me now."

The leader roared, "Don’t push me too far, Sword Flash. I’m warning you. Give them back to me, and I’ll leave. If you don’t, all hell will be let loose."

Sword Flash’s eyes narrowed, and he said, "Do your worst, Dancing Fire."

Dancing Fire roared in pain and frustration. Then he gritted his teeth and said, "So be it."

The next thing he did was to rip off his arm and push the arm against the red and blue pill that was rotating around him. The pill absorbed the flesh in the blood and became brighter. This was because the fire on its body was getting bigger and burning brighter.

He felt some pain for ripping his arm like that, but the pain that the physical injury caused him couldn’t compare to the pain of losing everything dear to him. So he didn’t think about stopping at all.

He said, "Since you don’t want to be reasonable, then we will go down together. We will all go down together. I’ll make sure everyone loses everything. If I must go down, I’ll make sure to bring down all of you with me."

As he said this, he kept tearing off chunks of his body and feeding them to the fire pill. He tore off every part of his body, including his head. All that was left in his place was a phantom being.

This was how much he was willing to give to end everything. He gave up everything he had on his own terms because he understood that there was no way out for him. Even though his sect had managed to leave their homeland safely, someone was still hell bent on eliminating them.

Since he had no way out, he decided to go out with a bang. Only his nascent soul and the empowered pill were left. By this time, the fire pill had become a second sun in the sky. It was large and yellow like the sun. It was also scorching everything beneath it.

The heat from this second artificial sun was so great that objects were catching fire beneath it, and water was rapidly evaporating from the ground. Even as they watched, the world was being turned into a desert with a punishing sun in the sky.

Dancing Fire laughed with madness in his eyes and said, "I didn’t cower. I didn’t beg. Let it be known that I, Dancing Fire, of the Red and Blue Fire sect, went out on my own terms. I went out like the proud son of heaven. I didn’t disgrace my ancestors. I fought until the bitter end. I made my enemies cower when I died. I braved danger with pride and..."

He was ranting for a long time. During that time, the fire of the second sun scorched him and caused his phantom body to burn. As this happened, he started speaking gibberish. No one could understand what he was saying. It was clear that he had gone mad.

Sword Flash didn’t wait for him to finish what he was saying. He snapped his hand to create a crisp sound.

As he snapped, some blades of glass flickered into existence around Dancing Fire. These blades had been lying in wait around Dancing Fire for a long time. They didn’t appear just now. They were only revealing themselves now.

When the glass blades revealed themselves, they appeared in positions that arranged them into a large formation. This formation became complete when the complicated runes in the glass blades activated and sprang into action.

All of these things caused a large translucent platform to appear in the air around Dancing Flower. Those who were familiar with the transportation system of the Blood Skull sect were able to recognize that the translucent platform was a teleportation platform.

Dancing Fire and his second sun were in the center of this makeshift teleportation platform. When Dancing Fire saw this, he realized that he was in trouble. He immediately detonated the fire of the second sun.

Unfortunately, he was still a step too late. The teleportation platform activated, which caused the second sun to slip out of existence while Dancing Fire himself became trapped.

Space around Dancing Fire had frozen and was restricting his movements. So there was nothing he could do but watch everything go wrong.
