Classic computers work on the possible solutions for a problem one by one and one after the other, but quantum computers are capable of working on all the possible solutions for a problem at a single time, so quantum computers are faster at solving complex problems than classic computers.

Take, for example, cryptography. The goal is to find the factors of large integers. In classical computers, the most efficient way to solve this problem is to divide the integer by every number smaller than its square root to see which numbers will factor it.

In this approach, as more digits are added to the integer, the time required for this test grows very rapidly. But with a quantum computer, factorization is a snap because the test on all numbers less than the square root of the integer can be performed simultaneously, so only a single test is needed to find the right answer.

If viewed visually, the difference in the two types of computing becomes obvious when the task is finding the right path out of a maze.

For this task, a classic computer will try every possible path one by one. When the classic computer reaches a dead end, it will return to the beginning of the maze to try another path.

But a quantum computer won’t do something as wasteful as this. A quantum computer will try every possible option at the same time. So, the time it will take a quantum computer to find the exit of a maze is the time it will take a classic computer to try one possible path out of the maze.

Arthur can’t improve the structure of thought units. He is not that skilled yet. But he can change how thought units work together to solve a problem by applying the principles of quantum computing to how thought units interact with each other.

After getting this inspiration, he got to work. He began designing schematics with the goal of improving parallelism in thought units.

He still doesn’t know how to construct thought units skillfully. But he is not in the mood to prioritize that for now.

Instead of focusing on creating small but complex thought units, he decided to focus on the structure of logic models. His original goal was to master the creation of thought units and then copy the structure of the logic model in his mind. But his initial goal has changed.

While Arthur was working on this, the patriarchs of the sect were also busy. They were busy sorting out the loot that they acquired from the Red and Blue Fire sect and preparing for their future plans.

As he went through the guide, he learned that mana seeds weren’t created to upgrade secret realms, but were instead meant to be used to create hospitable domains in other worlds without mana and with a hostile world spirit.

He paled in fear when he heard that using mana seeds in other worlds is an act of war. This is because mana seeds are essentially a part of the Ethera tree, and whenever they become active, they will try to take over the part of the world where they were activated.

So if he had used a mana seed in another world, there was the risk that this would draw the ire of the spirit of that world and be struck down. When he thought of how the Ethera tree had made him so helpless, he resolved not to put himself in that situation with the spirit of another world.

He said to himself with a sigh of relief, "Fortunately, I came to learn about mana seeds as soon as possible."

After fear came curiosity. So he continued reading the guide to learn more.

Apparently, whenever the people of the league of world eaters invade a world and try to subdue it, they would always plant a mana seed. The mana seed will protect them from the suppression of the hostile world and will create a domain advantageous for them to fight.

The stronger the mana seed, the more mana it can provide, the more protection it can provide, and the more suppression that the domain of the mana seed can exert on the inhabitants of the hostile world that venture into it.
