Mr Alpha, I Am Not Your Typical Lady!
Chapter 159) Hurt and betrayed.
CHAPTER 159: CHAPTER 159) HURT AND BETRAYED.
The door to my bedroom opened, and I saw my mother enter the room.
She was wearing a plain yellow dress, and her black hair was packed to the back, leaving no strains of hair left unchecked.
She was shocked to see me inside the room. Pointing a finger at me, she said, "Who are you and what are you doing in my daughter’s room?".
"I-". I wanted to tell her that I was the daughter she was talking about, but I didn’t know how to say it.
"Are you here to rob this room? If you are, then please leave this room, and you can rob all the other rooms". She said to me, causing my eyes to become teary.
"Mom". I called her and her eyes widened.
"Mom?". She muttered. Her eyes were lifeless. "Yes. I haven’t heard anyone call me that since my daughter died". She said.
Wiping off the tears that escaped from her eyes, she said to me, "Please leave my daughter’s room at once. I don’t know how you got inside this room in the first place, but get out of my daughter’s room before I alarm my husband".
"Mom, it’s me. Your daughter". I said to her and approached her, but that was when my father arrived.
"What is going on, Lily?". He asked my mom as he entered my bedroom before he saw me. He frowned and demanded, "Who’s she and what is she doing in our daughter’s room?".
"Don’t you understand, mom? I said it’s me. Your daughter. Clara Hensley!". I told her and raised my voice.
"What is she talking about?". My father asked my mother, with his eyes never leaving my side. He looked alarmed because to him, I was a stranger. I didn’t blame him though. He had no idea yet that I was his daughter.
"I don’t know. I saw her in our daughter’s room and tried to chase her away". My mother explained to my father, whose eyes darkened.
"Young lady, please leave immediately, or you will not appreciate the other side of me". He said with a groan and threatening eyes.
As for me, I shut my eyes and took a deep breath as I recalled many of the important things that had happened between me and my parents months and years ago.
Suddenly, I opened my eyes, and with a fierce look in my eyes, I began to say seriously, "Father, mother, do you remember that one time in 5th grade when I returned home crying after being bullied? Both of you advised me to fight back and told me you had my back if things went awry".
"And do you remember that moment during my 15th birthday? When both of you told me a secret. Saying that if I stayed outdoors with you and stared at the moon always with you, then all my wishes are going to come through".
I chuckled and continued to say, "Back then, I knew that was a big lie. You guys said that to me because you wanted me to spend more time with you, because you were sad that I was leaving for university sooner or later, and that you guys would not get to see my face or spend more time with me like you used to".
"During my first visit to the house from university, you bought me a gift. It was a blue diary that had a lock and many hearts designed on the front cover. Also, after I graduated from university, both of you said to me on that day that I was your pride and your happiness. You told me that you can’t imagine what life would be like without me".
My parents’ eyes had gotten teary as they looked at me with confusion filled in their eyes.
"Stop pretending to be my daughter. My daughter must have told you all this when she was alive. Look here, I buried my daughter with my own hands. I saw her cold, helpless body". My father said to me, and the tears that had been threatening to escape from his eyes streamed down his cheek.
He turned away from me, but my mother was looking at me with a bit of hope in her sad eyes.
"Dad, please look at me. It’s truly me, your daughter. Clara".
"You are not my daughter! My daughter is dead and is gone forever!". My father turned to me as he yelled at me, shocking me.
His eyes were red, and his eyebrows furrowed as he took a closer look at me. "I know you. Aren’t you the Alpha from the shadows’ pack? And you claim to be my precious Clara? You may clearly be stronger than my wife and I, but that does not mean you can intrude on our house, especially my daughter’s room. Please leave. I don’t want to repeat myself". He said to me, but I wasn’t ready to leave and took a step closer to him despite the angry look in his eyes.
’I think you should leave. I don’t think they are ready to believe that you are their daughter’. Elektra said to me. She was right, but her words made me frustrated.
Damien believed right away that I was Clara Hensley when I told him, but why wouldn’t my own parents believe that I was their daughter?!!
My eyes were red and tears were threatening to escape from them. I felt hurt and betrayed. But looking at it, I was a fool, right? Expecting them to believe right away that the Alpha of the shadows’ pack was their daughter.
"I am sorry, Sir and Ma’am. I made a mistake. I must have been confused and somehow ended up in this place and began spouting nonsense. I will leave". I said to them and bowed as I apologized for the mistake I never committed.
Maybe it was for the best that they did not believe that I was their daughter.
At least, I got to see their faces up close. That was more than enough for me.
A drop of tear escaped from my eye exactly the moment I teleported away.
