CHAPTER 161: CHAPTER 161) MY BABIES!/ HOW DOES THAT CONCERN ME?

Luciana’s pov,

I had finished preparing breakfast and had set everything on the dining table, but Caden and Chase had not left their room since the morning.

I had left them last night with that unknown man because I knew he posed no threat to my sons. He was a human, and my sons were werewolves. They could tear him apart within seconds if he turned out to be a bad guy.

The reason why I had not thrown him out of my house was because last night I saw him together with my niece in my sons’ bedroom. I figured that he was with her.

But, I found it pretty weird when Damien didn’t leave with him but took my niece with him.

Though what did I expect? Even if the human was indeed with my niece, Damien had an unpredictable nature.

"Caden, Chase!". I called both of them but got no response, making me begin to wonder. We werewolves have loud hearings, so they ought to have heard me calling them.

Feeling unsettled, I went up the stairs and headed to Caden and Chase’s room.

As I got closer, my body tensed up when I couldn’t sense their presence.

’What is it this time, Luciana? Why is your heart pounding?’. Sadira asked me.

"I can’t sense our sons’ presence". I replied to her and hurriedly rushed to enter the room.

I didn’t bother to open the door because it had been broken down by me last night.

To my greatest horror, I didn’t see my sons in the room. After searching for them in their closets and the bathroom and could not find them there, I began to panic.

"Where are my babies?!". I exclaimed, and looking at both beds, I could not see the young man either. Did he have something to do with Caden and Chase’s disappearance? But he was unconscious.

Wait. What if he had regained consciousness and kidnapped my poor babies?!

But was he not a human?

How could he be capable of doing that to werewolves like my sons? Unless he must have drugged them!

I was very unsettled and began to overthink with one of my hands on my hip and the other massaging my temples.

"Sadira, I am going to give you control of our body right away. You are clearly stronger than me and have a stronger sense of smell. Find our children and bring them back home! What if something terrible had happened to them?". I said and was even more worried because of the existence of demons.

’Say no more, Luciana’. Sadira told me and I gave her control of our body right away.

Without delay, Sadira shifted into her wolf form and dashed out of the house as she sniffed her way around.

King Nikolai’s pov

After I woke up in a strange place, I was very confused, but I didn’t stay there for long to find out what was going on.

It was when I left the house that I recalled I had been stabbed by that demon yesterday. But surprisingly, I couldn’t see any stab marks on my abdomen. Though my clothes were ruined.

Also, my mate’s scent was all over me.

Her scent on me was faint, but the sweet honey-like scent remained in my nose.

Did she come after I collapsed?

Then, was she the one who healed me with her powers? If that was the case, she cared about me.

I have to go to her immediately.

’Hey, you moron. You did not even care to ask me what happened yesterday after you were stabbed and fell unconscious’. Nolan said to me with a groan.

"So what happened?". I asked him, but he remained quiet.

Seriously? Then why did he mention it to me in the first place?

"Are you going to tell me or not?". I asked him.

’Fine. But only since you begged me’. He said to me, and if only I could look him in the eyes and spanked his head. ’After you fell unconscious, Damien, that dude, tried his best to wake you up’.

"He did what?". I asked and almost couldn’t believe it. Then I realized. He had no idea that I was the Lycan King.

’Yes. He tried to wake you up even after figuring out that you were the Lycan King’.

Nolan’s words shocked me and rendered me speechless.

That unpredictable dude found out that I was the Lycan King but still tried to help me? What went wrong with his brain? Is there something I am not aware of?

"Are you joking with me, Nolan?".

’Do I look like someone who jokes around? Do you think I am a comedian or what?’. He asked me and was being sarcastic.

"Okay. So what happened next?". I demanded.

’Our mate came and disappeared to an abandoned building with us. She absorbed the dark liquid crystal from your body and thus healed your stabbed wound. The powers she used to absorb the dark liquid crystal were very weird, and I felt ominous even though I was in the empty abyss’.

He added, ’Anyway, our mate collapsed after she finished healing you, Nikolai’.

"What?!". I exclaimed and was very worried. I left the spot I was standing on and continued to search for her like crazy.

I didn’t know the exact hotel she took me to when I collapsed the other time. And I was foolish. I didn’t inquire about the name of the hotel.

’Wait. Allow me to finish talking!’. Nolan scolded me.

I didn’t stop searching for Anastasia and I replied to Nolan, "Can you quickly wrap up your story? I don’t even know when you became talkative".

’Whatever, Nikolai. A set of twins came to the abandoned building. After they took you and our mate with them, I overheard their discussion. They kept on calling our mate their elder sister’.

’The twins took you and our mate to their house, and later on, Damien came. I think the mother of the twins knew who Damien was’.

I halted in disbelief and asked Nolan with a confused look on my face, "How the heck does that concern me whether the mother of the twins knew who Damien was or not? Tell me only about our mate!".

Nolan hissed. ’Damien took her away and that is the end of my story’.
