CHAPTER 169: CHAPTER 169) MY FRIEND?/ I NEED THEIR HELP.

I saw myself standing inside a hospital, together with Fireball, Irving, the Lycan King, and Aunt Penelope, who was still floating in the air, thanks to my light magic.

But, I slowly made her come down and carried her in my arms.

"I will help you carry her, mama". Fireball offered to help me, before he carried Aunt Penelope away from my arms before I could protest. Though I didn’t mind him.

I turned to the Lycan King. "Please can you help me find a doctor named Rebecca? I must stay with my aunt and make sure that she’s okay!". I asked him. Honestly, I wasn’t quite thinking straight.

My mind was rough and so many thoughts were going on inside it.

"Don’t worry. You can leave it to me. But, please calm down". He said to me before he hurried away.

He wasn’t even angry about the way I tasked him to do something for me.

Was he truly the Lycan King or an impostor pretending to be him?

Why was he so nice to me? Oh, according to him, I am his mate. That is why he is behaving differently towards me. That is sweet of him. But wait, what am I thinking about at a critical time like this?!

"Follow me!". I said to Fireball as I walked past him and was finding my way to one of the hospital’s wards, while I completely ignored the gazes of the patients, the nurses, and the visitors, I think.

I noticed that most of them wanted to come to me, including the little ones who looked high in spirit, despite wearing the hospital uniform, which automatically indicated that they were all sick in one way or the other. But they halted when they saw that I wasn’t in the right mood for that.

Blood had stained my clothes, and the bleeding Aunt Penelope was enough to convey the message to them.

I saw them cover their mouths in disbelief.

Werewolves like myself have sharp and excellent eyesight, making them able to see things from afar.

In that case, they must have seen that it was Aunt Penelope who was dying, and was the one who Fireball was carrying in his strong, muscular arms that had been stained with blood. Aunt Penelope’s blood.

Speaking of excellent eyesight, I stopped enhancing my eyes with my light magic, and sooner than later, I arrived inside a ward.

It was a ward made for three patients, because I had run past the first bed, but I saw a patient there. And I had walked past the second bed, but there was also a patient there with some other werewolves. Maybe her family. Now here I was, standing in front of the last bed that was empty of any patients. At least for now.

Although there were three beds kept in place in the ward, they were apart from each other and were separated using white silk curtains.

"Place her on the bed". I said to Fireball, who was behind me.

He went ahead and placed Aunt Penelope on the bed, instantly staining the white sheets of the bed with her thick red blood.

I went and squatted down beside the bed and began to heal Aunt Penelope’s external injuries so that she would stop bleeding any further, and before the Lycan King was going to come with doctor Rebecca. I knew that the Lycan King would be able to find the ward I was in. I just knew it.

In less than a minute, after channeling my light magic into Aunt Penelope’s body, the stab marks all over her body disappeared without a trace.

But I knew that despite that, she was in a big pain deep within.

The door to the ward opened, but I could already perceive the Lycan King’s presence and that of Doctor Rebecca, and also Doctor Jonathan.

Doctor Jonathan? Why did he come too?

I wondered as I left the bedside and went to them.

"Alpha Anastasia, Doctor Jonathan and I came as fast as we could after hearing from your friend!". Doctor Rebecca hurried to my side.

’My friend?’. My brows furrowed on their own as I thought to myself, not because I was angry or anything. Then I stared at the Lycan King and realized that he was the friend doctor Rebecca was talking about.

Did he tell Doctor Rebecca and probably doctor Jonathan also that he was my friend rather than my mate?

He is so thoughtful.

Did he not tell them that I was his mate because I coldly said to him not to call me his mate because I don’t accept him as my mate?

No. I don’t think that was the reason.

"But why is a human your friend, Alpha Anastasia? Or is he a wolf-less werewolf? And what about these two? Are they humans too or just wolf-less werewolves?". Doctor Rebecca asked me.

Wait, what? Why was she asking me that question? Firstly, can’t she sense the Lycan King’s presence like I can?

Ah. I had this weird feeling before when Beta Damien asked me who the Lycan King was, at the time when I brought him back to my hotel room. Even though he had somewhat encountered the Lycan King in the shadows’ pack city before.

Lycan Kings are skilled at concealing their presence. That must mean....

’No need to think hard. I have concealed my presence. No one can sense my presence except you, my mate’. The Lycan King mind linked me, making me look at him.

How was he able to tell that I was thinking, and what I was thinking about?

"Can’t you see that elder Penelope is dying, doctor Rebecca? How can you ask me questions at a time like this?". I said to her, and she looked a little bit confused, before she went and looked at the bed, and gasped when she saw Aunt Penelope.

Instantly, she turned to me and apologized to me, "Forgive me, Alpha Anastasia. When I entered the ward, I couldn’t sense elder Penelope’s presence, but only your presence. So I had no idea that she was inside this ward with you".

I totally understood her.

But her mistake made me recall something. ’Fireball, Irving, make sure no one can sense your presence and feel off about it’.

’Don’t worry about that, mama. Already ahead of you. Currently, Fireball and I have an ordinary human presence. No one except you would be able to tell that something is off with us’. Irving replied to me and I nodded at her in approval.

"It’s alright, Doctor Rebecca. I want you to check my blood type and that of elder Penelope. And be fast about it. I want to perform a blood transfusion on her, before I can heal her internal injuries with my power". I said to her.

"But can’t you heal her without a blood transfusion? She looks terrible". Doctor Jonathan stepped in and asked me.

I didn’t have to explain anything to him. I just went ahead and tried healing Aunt Penelope’s internal injuries for him to see the answers himself. Though, I was hopeful that I might nail it. I really hope to nail it. After all, haven’t my powers of light gotten stronger?

I channeled as much light magic as I could, and I directed every single bit of it to Aunt Penelope.

My eyes widened in disbelief when her pale complexion lightened a little bit. But that was it.

It ended. My light magic couldn’t heal her anymore. That was its limit for now, as if it needed assistance.

But I was glad.

My light magic was progressing.

Soon, I might really be able to heal everyone who wasn’t beyond healing, using my light magic, without needing to rely on any herbs, blood transfusion or any medications.

But wait, yes. Herbs. I need the Zelggly herb too. It would help Aunt Penelope very well.

There was not much time left.

I created a syringe and a needle using my light magic, before I used them to draw out blood from my hand.

It was a shame to say, but I didn’t know the blood group of my body. But I knew the blood group of my previous body.

"Here you go. Call me after you have confirmed that I can be Elder Penelope’s blood donor". I handed the syringe to Doctor Rebecca before I teleported away with the Lycan King, Fireball and Irving.

I must have caught them off guard.

But I needed their help to find the rare Zelggly herb. I would have a bigger chance of finding the herb if I had extra hands helping me out.
