A bit speechless, she said, "Boss, my phone is really out of battery."

"I see." Beichen Rui said calmly, neither believing nor disbelieving.

After a good while, Ye Xinluo finally said, "Boss, can you move? I want to eat something."

His body leaned against hers, and Ye Xinluo could clearly feel the heat from him, her face reddening slightly against her will.

"You can eat me," Beichen Rui laughed.

Who’s going to eat you? Can you stop being so disgusting? She rolled her eyes at him with annoyance and said, "I’m hungry, I want breakfast."

"Alright then, I want to eat too," Beichen Rui said. Seeing her puffed-up look, he decided not to tease her anymore.

"There’s breakfast for sale downstairs, the boss can go," Ye Xinluo said, and was about to push him away when Beichen Rui stepped back two steps and pulled her into his arms again with a scoop of his hand.

He whispered in her ear, "The food downstairs isn’t good. If you let me have breakfast here, then I’ll eat you."

Ye Xinluo glared at him and stomped on Beichen Rui’s foot, angrily bypassing him.

She didn’t expect this man to be so dirty and shameless. Outwardly appearing decent, but actually so repressed.

Beichen Rui stood still, watching the direction she left, a smile tugging at his lips as he took a pair of slippers from the shoe cabinet for himself before stepping into the kitchen.

There was a bowl of porridge and several plates of side dishes on the dining table. Beichen Rui raised an eyebrow and sat in the seat next to hers.

Seeing him sit down, Ye Xinluo turned away, ignoring him. After a while, Beichen Rui’s voice rang out, "Are you planning to let me watch you eat?"

"Boss, I don’t have anything tasty here. If you want to eat, you can go and buy some yourself."

"Alright, I can wait until you’ve finished eating and then eat you," Beichen Rui said with a smile, glancing at her from time to time.

Ye Xinluo choked, almost sputtering, glaring at him as she unwillingly got up to serve him a bowl before returning to her seat to eat quietly.

Having achieved his goal, the man felt satisfied and helped himself without further courtesy, taking a few spoonfuls.

To his surprise, he found the porridge quite to his taste, so he ate more.

After finishing breakfast, Ye Xinluo washed the dishes in the kitchen while Beichen Rui sat on the sofa, surveying the layout of the apartment.

His brows furrowed involuntarily. Ye Xinluo had mentioned that she hadn’t worked since graduating, so where did she get the money to live in such a nice apartment?

While lost in thought, Ye Xinluo finished washing the dishes and came to the living room, seeing him still there, she asked, "Boss, aren’t you supposed to attend a dinner party today? Why are you still here?"

Looking at the time, it was almost ten o’clock.

"It’s still early," Beichen Rui said lightly. "Get your things, you’re coming with me."

Ye Xinluo was stunned and said, "Boss, I have something to do today, I can’t go with you."

Sticking to her stubbornness, it was simply because she found business dinners too boring and didn’t want to go. But she didn’t dare to say it outright, so she told a small lie.

Beichen Rui didn’t speak, stood up and walked over to her. He reached out and pulled her into his arms.
