She asked, "How long have you been here?" Moving her head from his hand, she sat up straight and asked in a lazy tone, "What time is it now?"

Gong Shaoyu retracted his hand, sat up, and said, "It’s almost three." Looking at Ye Xinluo, his eyes were filled with tenderness. God knows how much he was shocked the moment Ye Xinluo opened her eyes.

"I’m sorry, you waited for so long." Ye Xinluo smiled awkwardly, feeling a bit embarrassed. She had only intended to close her eyes and bask in the sun but ended up falling asleep, making him wait for so long.

"It’s okay..." No matter how long I have to wait, I don’t mind, just wondering if you’ll give me the chance.

Gong Shaoyu did not say the latter part aloud. His gaze on Ye Xinluo deepened as he took a sip of his coffee.

"Shaoyu, where have you been lately? I called you many times, but your phone was off." Feeling the atmosphere was a bit awkward, Ye Xinluo found a topic.

"Is that so?" He put down the coffee, his lips curling into a smile. Is this girl showing concern for him?

Even though he knew she might just be showing concern as a friend, his heart felt warm.
