Lan Shan stood in place, without a trace of fear, yet after a long while, the pain she expected did not arrive.

"Does it look good?" a hoarse yet alluring voice sounded, and only then did Lan Shan blink and come back to her senses.

"Why are you here?" she couldn’t help but ask.

The man didn’t answer her question but instead turned his head towards Jiang Yan and abruptly flung his hand away.

Jiang Yan’s body involuntarily tilted to one side; it took him a while to regain his balance before he sized up the man before him.

Although the fling had seemed casual, Jiang Yan knew that the man had used some strength. To remain this calm could only mean that this man had been trained.

His gaze wandered over the man, whose attire and innate kingly aura felt overwhelmingly oppressive.

Many people around were watching. Jiang Yan felt embarrassed and boldly spoke up, "Who are you to meddle in my affairs?"

The man smiled slightly, "Hitting a woman is not something a man should do."

"Mind your own business and get lost," Jiang Yan cursed.

"Sorry, but I must intervene in this matter today." Turning to Lan Shan, he gently asked, "Are you alright?"

Lan Shan shook her head in a daze, "N-no, I’m fine." Her mind was a mess, unable to figure out how this person appeared here.

Tilting her head and thinking for a while, she asked again, "How did you end up here?"

The man smiled slightly, placing his long hand on Lan Shan’s shoulder, "Did you forget? We made plans to have dinner together tonight."

Lan Shan’s body trembled slightly, confused about his words, and she turned to look at the man in front of her.

She couldn’t help but silently curse in her heart, what’s Gong Shaoyu up to? Since when did she have a dinner plan with him tonight?
