Mr. CEO's Ex-Wife: A Cunning Comeback
Chapter 134: She Had Plenty Of Admirers
CHAPTER 134: CHAPTER 134: SHE HAD PLENTY OF ADMIRERS
Thirteen grabbed Chantelle’s arm and swung it like a happy puppy’s tail.
Ashton watched him, stunned. He couldn’t believe that this cheerful young man was the same person who just took down Vic.
Thirteen was young, good-looking, and clearly skilled. He also seemed to admire Mrs. Wilson a lot.
That thought made Ashton anxious for his boss.
Mr. Wilson better not take Mrs. Wilson for granted. She had plenty of admirers.
And the competition was tough.
"Ashton, bring back up to Daniel. He and Lone Wolf might still be in the woods."
Chantelle’s words snapped Ashton out of his thoughts.
"Yes, Mrs. Wilson."
He quickly got ready and left with his team.
As he walked off, he caught part of the talk behind him.
"Why does he call you Mrs. Wilson, Chantie?"
Thirteen frowned, clearly not happy about it.
"It’s just a title. He can call me whatever."
Chantelle didn’t pay much attention. She was focused on unlocking the device connected to Daniel.
"That’s not okay, Chantie. You can’t let them call you Mrs. something. You said you’d wait for me to grow up."
Chantelle brushed it off, but Ashton, not too far away, nearly tripped in shock.
It was serious. He had to find Mr. Wilson right away and report this!
Ashton panicked and rushed off right away.
Chantelle didn’t notice him. She was too focused on picking up Daniel’s signal.
By now, she had a rough idea of how the phone worked.
To her surprise, the system built by the Wilsons’ team was more advanced than she expected.
Still, it could help her reach Daniel.
She sat on a rock and placed the phone flat like a keyboard.
Then, she took off her earring, which had a connector, and plugged it into the phone.
During the three seconds it took to connect, Chantelle felt nervous.
She didn’t even notice how worried she was.
Beep! The signal is connected.
Chantelle’s eyes lit up.
Her fingers moved quickly across the keyboard.
In under ten minutes, she broke into Daniel’s phone.

Meanwhile, two figures moved quickly across the rugged mountain path.
Lone Wolf took the lead. He jumped onto a boulder and signaled Daniel to pause.
Daniel landed on another boulder nearby.
There were less than ten feet between them, but a cliff stood in the way.
Below the cliff was a deep ravine that led to a lake at the bottom of the hill.
As they looked down, the wind howled around them.
It was clear how dangerous the drop was.
The jump wore Lone Wolf out. That’s why he called for a break.
Daniel had changed into a skintight leather outfit.
He didn’t look tired at all, not even sweating after chasing Lone Wolf all this way.
"Daniel, how did I never see this side of you? You’re crazy! Aren’t you tired from running after me for miles?"
Lone Wolf sat on the boulder, catching his breath while talking nonstop.
"What’s your last wish?" Daniel asked as he pulled a small bow from his pocket.
He loaded an arrow and aimed it straight at Lone Wolf.
Realizing Daniel was serious, Lone Wolf felt defeated.
"Fuck! You’re really going to kill me? Don’t you care that I might kill your kids?"
"You might not know this, Lone Wolf, but my family’s grave is here."
"So?"
Lone Wolf had stabbed himself with a drug earlier to fight off the numbness.
Now, he had nothing left. His face was pale and his eyes were bloodshot.
He looked like he’d just crawled out of the grave.
"The hill is mine. Every part of it has the newest security system. My kids are safe."
Chantelle was safe too.
Daniel ran after Lone Wolf and didn’t stop. He wanted to give the kids and Chantelle time to get away.
When Lone Wolf got away, Daniel quickly checked the cameras around the hill. He felt both relief and fear when he saw Rai on the screen.
Daniel was about to go save Rai when Kane showed up carrying a pile of firewood.
The kids began roasting potatoes in the cave. Daniel wasn’t sure if he was seeing things, but he saw the brat flashing a V sign at the hidden camera on the tree branch.
At the same time, Chantelle also appeared on the hill, giving electric waves at a man tied to a tree.
Daniel could guess how strong the shock was just by watching the footage.
It had been years since they last saw each other, and the sly fox now had a wild side.
He had to admit—she was clever.
At least now Daniel was certain the kids and Chantelle were safe.
He also saw where Lone Wolf had gone.
When Lone Wolf headed toward the cabin, Daniel geared up and blocked his path just in time. Lone Wolf had no choice but to turn away.
Daniel chased him far from the cabin. The more distance he put between Lone Wolf and his loved ones, the better he felt.
Besides, Lone Wolf would make decent fertilizer for the land.
"Haha. You should learn to control that pride, Daniel. Vic is my best assassin. He never messes up. If I don’t give the word, you’ll never see your kids again."
"Oh, really? Then why is your man hanging from a tree like Christmas lights?"
Daniel scoffed and quickly sent Lone Wolf the surveillance footage of Vic.
"Impossible! I said my people never fail!"
Lone Wolf snapped when he saw the video on his phone.
"No way! Vic never fails on the job!" Lone Wolf stared at the phone, eyes wide with shock. He paced back and forth beside the boulder.
His face had lost all color. It was a chilling sight.
"I warned you. Anyone who touches my woman or my kids will die."
Daniel narrowed his eyes and pulled back the bow. His aim was set on Lone Wolf’s chest.
He fired the arrow in Lone Wolf’s direction. However, Lone Wolf moved quickly and dodged it.
Although Lone Wolf dodged the arrow, it still hit the boulder and exploded.
The blast shook him and made him lose his balance. He stumbled as he tried to stay on his feet.
Daniel didn’t stop.
He fired three arrows in a row.
While Lone Wolf struggled to balance himself, one arrow struck his arm. Blood soaked through his sleeve.
"Is that all you’ve got, Daniel? Come on. Hit me with your best shot." Lone Wolf glanced at his wound and casually taunted Daniel.
Daniel didn’t react. He simply stared at him.
