CHAPTER 421: CHAPTER 421: WHERE ARE YOU RIGHT NOW?

Linda quickly lifted her head, and her dull eyes suddenly brightened. She knew she was beautiful, but compared to Chantelle, she was nothing. Philip didn’t reject her attempts to flirt, but he didn’t treat her any differently either.

Afraid she would never win Philip’s heart, Linda came up with a plan to prove her worth by gathering information. At least that way, she could seem useful to them.

That night, Linda secretly sneaked into the place where Quinn was being imprisoned. The security team had been using physical punishment to force information out of Quinn, and Linda was shocked when she saw her sister covered in blood.

"Quinn!" Linda cried out, rushing over as tears streamed down her face.

Seeing Linda safe and unharmed, Quinn couldn’t hide the bitterness in her eyes. Why? Why was she the one suffering here while her sister was living freely?

"So, you actually managed to escape from them," Quinn said coldly.

Ignoring the sarcasm in her sister’s tone, Linda hurried to untie her and said, "I met a doctor on the island. He’s kind. He vouched for me and helped me get a job as a cook here."

It was a relief that Quinn wasn’t imprisoned with the men she had handed Linda over to earlier. If she had been, Linda’s disguise would have been exposed.

"Are you here to save me?" Quinn asked, eyeing Linda suspiciously. Once her hands were free, she started loosening the rope around her feet.

"We’re sisters, no matter what. How could I just watch you die? Besides, my passport is still with you..." Linda wiped her tears while her voice was filled with sorrow and helplessness.

Quinn sank to the ground, catching her breath from the pain before asking, "What happened to the guards outside?"

"I drugged their food. I used the drug I stole from you. I saw you trying to put it into my meal once, so I took it and hid it," Linda said, giving Quinn a resentful look.

When she noticed the deep wound on Quinn’s body, Linda’s anger faded. She quickly cleaned and bandaged her injury carefully.

Since Linda didn’t seem to be pretending, Quinn gently ran her fingers through her sister’s hair and said, "That was a smart move."

"What should we do now, Quinn? We can’t get off the island without a boat," Linda asked worriedly as she tended to Quinn’s wound.

Quinn stared at her for a long moment, then motioned for her to come closer. Thinking Quinn wanted to whisper something to her, Linda moved closer without any suspicion.

But suddenly, Quinn grabbed a brick nearby and struck Linda on the head.

She quickly took off Linda’s clothes and switched outfits with her. Then, she tied Linda’s hands and feet, loosened her own hair, and hung Linda upside down against the wall to make it look like she was the one imprisoned.

It had been a full day since anyone on the island checked on Quinn, which gave her enough time before they realized Linda was the one locked up instead.

"Be a good sister and take the suffering for me," Quinn said before walking out without looking back. She felt no guilt toward Linda. In fact, she was proud of herself for coming up with the clever idea of switching their position.

When Quinn stepped out, she saw the four guards lying unconscious by the door. Without wasting time, she headed straight into the nearby forest.

"Ms. Bently, the snake has left the building," Calvin reported to Chantelle, who was calmly sipping tea.

Chantelle let out a small laugh, put her cup down, and stood up. Today was the day she planned to catch the mastermind behind Quinn.

The feud between Chantelle and the mastermind had been sealed the moment that person tried to harm her children.

"You can leave this to us, Ms. Bently. You—" Calvin tried to stop her as he was worried about her health. Her dizzy spells could strike at any time, and no one knew when they might happen again.

But Chantelle brushed off his concern. She knew her body well, and she believed she could last at least twelve hours more before collapsing.

Ignoring Calvin’s advice, she took two armed men with her and followed Quinn into the woods.

Quinn didn’t go far. Instead of heading deeper into the forest, she managed to bypass the guards surrounding the house through the trees and stopped at the beach to send out a signal.

She had hidden the distress flare between her breasts, and because of her full figure, the young guards failed to notice the device during their search.

An hour and a half after the flare shot into the sky, a boat secretly approached the far side of the coast, away from the villa.

Calvin turned to Chantelle for instructions on whether to arrest Quinn, but she raised her hand to signal him to wait. She told him to prepare a submarine instead.

Chantelle had already anticipated that the mastermind wouldn’t come personally to pick Quinn up.

Soon after, Quinn boarded the boat. Without any lights, it drifted silently away from the shore.

Meanwhile, Chantelle’s small submarine was ready to depart. She boarded it and tracked Quinn’s boat using the radar.

The two vessels traveled across the sea for over an hour.

Each time Chantelle yawned, Calvin became more anxious.

"Ms. Bently, you should get some rest. I’ll wake you when we arrive," he quickly suggested.

"Okay," Chantelle replied. She was exhausted, so she decided to take his advice and rest for a while.

Calvin woke up Chantelle two hours later. Quinn’s boat had already reached the shore.

"I’ve sent someone in advance to follow her. Don’t worry," Calvin said as Chantelle hurried to put on her shoes. He reassured her immediately.

Chantelle nodded, but her mind was fixed on catching the mastermind as soon as possible.

By the time she led Calvin and her men onto land, Quinn had already left the dock in a car. Fortunately, Calvin had stationed people in advance nearby, so they didn’t lose track of her.

Suddenly, her phone rang, and she answered it without checking the caller’s name.

"Where are you right now?" Daniel’s crisp voice came through the phone, filled with anger and worry.

"I’m busy. I’ll call you later," Chantelle said, hanging up quickly.

Just then, she caught a glimpse of Quinn and a man’s side profile as their car turned onto a corner. Not wanting to lose them, she urged the driver to speed up.
