CHAPTER 432: CHAPTER 432: KANE IS IN TROUBLE AGAIN

Daniel, who was in a meeting, saw the text message. His expression turned grim, and he instantly scared the managers who were presenting their reports.

He called Ashton over. After hearing Daniel’s instructions, Ashton nodded and quietly left the meeting room.

Meanwhile, Chantelle brought Stephanie and Clinton to the 28th floor of a luxurious condominium. Just as she was about to open the door to show Clinton the unit, a girl suddenly rushed out, threw her arms around him, and squealed excitedly.

"Clint! I finally got to meet you! I’m your fan! I’ve liked you for years! Are you going to stay here? I’m your neighbor!"

The girl was so emotional when she saw Clinton that she dropped the pack she was holding. Stacks of Clinton’s photos spilled out onto the floor.

"Wow, is this what they call a crazy fan?" Stephanie asked as she picked up a few photos to check them.

Chantelle quickly pulled her back, worried the fan might hurt her.

But the fan didn’t even notice them. Her attention was completely on Clinton.

"This is amazing! I don’t have to camp outside your house anymore! I can see right into your bathroom from my balcony! I’d climb over every day just to see you!"

Clinton pulled his hands away from the fan’s grip and said, "Thank you for your support. I... I don’t live here."

Then he looked at Chantelle apologetically.

Ever since he became famous after being trolled, he had been terrified of obsessive fans. Once, a fan even followed him into the restroom.

"It’s fine. You can have my unit instead! Clint, please stay with me! I can’t sleep without looking at your picture every night. When I wake up, the first thing I do is kiss it. If we live together..."

The fan was getting more and more excited by her own imagination.

Clinton quickly pushed her away and ran straight into the elevator when he saw Chantelle and Stephanie inside. Once the doors closed, he let out a deep sigh of relief.

"I’m sorry, Ms. Chantelle. People like her really scare me," he said.

"It’s all right. It’s my fault for not checking the place beforehand," Chantelle replied, feeling frustrated that things had started off badly.

"Mrs. Wilson, how about the house on Stamford Road?" the driver suggested.

It was actually a good suggestion. Stamford Road was quiet and convenient, but Chantelle couldn’t recall owning any houses there.

"Have you forgotten? Mr. Wilson has a house there. It’s vacant right now," the driver reminded her.

"It’s his house, not mine," Chantelle quickly said, not wanting to take advantage of Daniel.

"You and Mr. Wilson are family. If you feel uncomfortable living there for free, you can just pay him rent. Think of it as renting the place from him," the driver quickly added.

"Mrs. Wilson, Mr. Wilson will be upset if you treat him like a stranger. And when he’s upset, all of us end up in trouble," he added again when he saw Chantelle still hesitating.

Daniel had taught the chauffeur every word to say. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have dared to speak like that.

Chantelle frowned. She could tell something was wrong. Coincidentally, Clinton’s fan lived right next to her unit. Everything turned out to be part of Daniel’s plan.

From what the driver said, it was clear that Daniel would stop all of Clinton’s activities if she didn’t let him stay there. Chantelle thought Daniel was really a troublemaker. So she decided to take advantage of the situation and showed Clinton the house.

The house was beautiful, with a stunning interior and a pleasant environment.

Clinton liked it very much. He looked at Chantelle and asked, "Ms. Chantelle, are you asking me to live here because..."

"I’m planning to start a film company called Echo Films. Would you like to be my first employee?"

"Of course!" Clinton replied. After just two days, he already trusted Chantelle completely. He got to live in a big house and land a role in a major production even before officially joining her company. His career was clearly on the rise.

"My company isn’t even established yet. Aren’t you worried this might hurt your career?" Chantelle casually asked to test him.

"No. I trust you, Ms. Chantelle."

"Mrs. Wilson, don’t worry," the driver added, glancing at Clinton. "With Mr. Wilson around, you’ll succeed in anything you do in Easthan."

Clinton quickly said, "Please thank Mr. Wilson for me."

"Of course. Mr. Wilson always takes good care of anyone who works for Mrs. Wilson," the driver said as he waved his hand.

Chantelle was speechless. The star she had worked so hard to recruit suddenly became Daniel’s subordinate.

"Mommy, what about me? Am I signed under our film company too?" Stephanie’s eyes lit up when she heard about the new company. She grabbed Chantelle’s sleeve excitedly.

Chantelle nodded. "Of course. This company was created just for you."

"I want to be the first to sign with the company!"

"Sure, you’ll be the first to sign," Clinton replied before Chantelle could answer.

"I’ll pay the penalty for breaking your current contract, so don’t worry." Chantelle glanced at Clinton reassuringly.

"Don’t worry, Mrs. Wilson. His current company also belongs to Mr. Wilson. You just need to inform them," the driver quickly interrupted their conversation.

Chantelle was speechless. After all her effort, she had only managed to sign someone who was already under Daniel’s company. On top of that, Daniel was being overly cooperative. He provided both money and a place to stay. It made Chantelle feel like she was just playing house, like a child.

Seeing Chantelle’s disappointment, the driver quickly explained, "The company isn’t doing well. Mr. Wilson was planning to shut it down. Luckily, you brought him here, Mrs. Wilson. Otherwise, such talent would’ve gone to waste."

Chantelle frowned and said, "I don’t want to hear you mention Mr. Wilson again."

She had been hearing his name nonstop since leaving the audition venue. It felt like he was following her everywhere.

Clinton smiled with envy. He could clearly feel how much Mr. Wilson cared for Chantelle.

"Mrs. Wilson, it is time for dinner. A restaurant has been reserved," the driver said, smiling at her.

Chantelle knew right away that Daniel must have been the one who made the reservation. But since the driver didn’t mention his name, she couldn’t scold him.

"Mommy! Kane is in trouble again!" Stephanie said anxiously while showing Chantelle her phone.
