CHAPTER 330: 326, FOLLOW ME AND I GUARANTEE YOU CAN WALK SIDEWAYS IN BANYAN CITY
Just as he was taking out his wallet and pulling out a card, before he could hand it to the server, a shadow flickered beside him, accompanied by a male voice.
"This bottle’s on me!"
A loud and bold voice spoke. Titus Zane turned his face to meet a young, reckless, and slightly sinister-looking face.
The man looked pretty young, definitely a few years younger than her, with spiked, waxed short hair like porcupine needles, a studded leather jacket collar stood upright, and ripped jeans that were hard to tell whether they were non-mainstream or trendy.
With a toothpick dangling from the corner of his mouth, he looked rather disreputable.
She knew he was either a rich second-generation or a wealthy heir.
Turning her gaze away, Titus Zane couldn’t be bothered to deal with him.
She handed the card to the bartop server, "Trouble you, I only want one glass."
Such flirtation attempts were too common in bars. She could just ignore it; it wasn’t like she hadn’t seen it all before.
The server glanced at the still-standing wealthy heir, took the bank card, swiped it in the POS machine, and after returning the card, poured a glass of red wine for Titus Zane.
She turned back to face the direction of the dance floor, one hand resting on the bar, giving her back to the rich heir.
What was an inadvertent act appeared rather flirtatious in the eyes of the rich heir.
The toothpick at the corner of his mouth twitched, his lips angled into a smirk, and his eyebrows raised in amusement.
He snapped his fingers at the bar counter, pointing to the bottle of red wine Titus Zane had ordered earlier, "That bottle, it’s mine!"
"Okay, just a moment." The bartender nodded slightly to the rich heir without asking to "pay first", then turned around, took down that bottle, uncorked it, placed it in front of the rich heir, and brought a new glass over.
The rich heir poured himself some red wine, picked up the glass, turned around with his back leaning against the bar, his elbows resting behind him on it, gazing at the dance floor with a smirk that seemed casual and carefree.
Suddenly, he expelled the toothpick with a ’plop’ sound, then gulped down the red wine without immediately swallowing it. The dark red liquid swirled in his mouth before he swallowed, then he turned his gaze to the elegantly wine-tasting woman and started to flirt.
"You’re not from around here, are you?"
Titus Zane glanced at him, didn’t engage in conversation, and her lips curled slightly in a distinctly arrogant manner.
Left hanging, the rich heir wasn’t upset. With no toothpick in his mouth, his tongue flicked restlessly in rhythm to the music, nodding continuously, and again sipped the red wine, his gaze sweeping over Titus Zane from head to toe.
"I’m sure because I’ve never seen you before."
Titus Zane...
Turned her gaze over, looking at the confident appearance of the rich heir, curiosity piqued.
"Just because you haven’t seen me, you think I’m not a local?"
The rich heir took another sip of red wine, and the glass was empty in three gulps.
The cheeky gaze could not mask his confidence.
"No need to deny it, I know!"
With a cold laugh inside, Titus Zane retorted disdainfully, "What are you, a cop? In charge of registering residence?"
Her words were plainly scornful, yet the rich heir appeared smug, raising an eyebrow flirtatiously at Titus Zane, whistling, "They aren’t even worthy to tie my shoes," he said as he moved closer to Titus Zane, a mysterious look on his face, "Consider it, what about sticking with me?"
Seeing that Titus Zane merely smiled and stayed quiet, he started to coax her, "Stick with me, young master, and I assure you can do as you please in Banyan City!"
Titus Zane suddenly laughed.
Although she said nothing, her exquisite eyes and brows exuded a light mockery when she scoffed.
Yet the rich heir seemed indifferent, his elbows propped behind him on the bar again, his leg shaking nonstop, "What? Don’t believe me?"
