CHAPTER 353: 349, SHOULD I COME UP OR YOU COME DOWN!
After sitting on the sofa for a while, Titus Zane stood up and walked to the kitchen, boiled some water, and decided to make noodles to fill his stomach.
The meal he had at noon, he had no appetite to eat at all under that kind of oppressive atmosphere.
Titus Zane always saw himself as a person who loved life; even without feeling hungry, he would still eat something when it was mealtime.
Moreover, he was truly hungry now.
A bowl of plain noodles was quickly ready, topped with a poached egg. He held the soup bowl and set it on the dining table. Just as he was about to sit down, the ringtone of the phone on the coffee table in the living room went off again.
Titus Zane had never found the music in his phone so annoying as he did at this moment!
However, annoying as it was, he still went to pick it up.
Seeing that number, Titus Zane immediately pressed reject, then threw the phone back onto the sofa, turned around, and went back to the kitchen to continue his dinner.
Listening to the phone transmit a message: "The number you have dialed is busy... in a call..."
The handsome face of Nathan Moore darkened.
He had yet to settle the score with her for what happened during the day, and she dared to reject his call!
It really proved Felix Shaw’s words, "Women shouldn’t be spoiled too much!"
It seemed that he really had spoiled her too much; she had dared to hold another man’s wrist in front of him, and now, she even dared to reject his calls directly. Damn it, he’d see how he would deal with her later!
He took the phone and dialed that number again, this time waiting until it disconnected on its own, and she still didn’t answer.
If it had been like this from the start, Nathan Moore would have thought that Titus Zane didn’t hear his calls. But with the previous act of rejecting the call, Nathan Moore knew she was purposely pretending not to hear.
Picked up the phone, continued to dial, and kept dialing until she picked up.
Titus Zane had never known that Nathan Moore could be so persistent.
Ever since he started eating noodles at the dining table, the ringtone of the phone lying on the sofa hadn’t stopped. The beautiful music kept playing intermittently, over and over, until his bowl of noodles was empty, and it still continued.
Placing the empty bowl on the dining table, Titus Zane stood up and returned to the living room, picked up the phone that was about to automatically shut down, listened to the music that rang again, slid to answer, and rearranged the large waves of hair beside his ear before he spoke.
"What is it, so late at night?"
On the other end of the phone, when he heard Titus Zane’s cool voice devoid of any emotion, Nathan Moore let out a cold sneer, a dangerous light shining in his eyes.
His thin lips curled slightly, holding a trace of derision as he spoke, his words cold and indifferent.
"Finally willing to answer the phone now, are you?"
Titus Zane...
He hated this kind of baseless questioning, especially at a time when his mind was in turmoil.
Turning toward the sofa, his tone was as chilly as the expression on his face.
"Nathan Moore, if you have something to say, say it; if not, I’m hanging up."
"Dare!" With that one word, he conveyed a thick threat.
If it had been before, Titus Zane might have had the mood to spar or banter with him for a while, considering himself to be bored and treating it like free company for a chat.
But now, with the realization that he was repulsive to any man, his mood also became terrible, and the tone of his voice was as bad as if a certain relative was visiting.
"Nathan Moore, we are equals now. Do you think threatening me is still interesting?"
"What if I say," Nathan Moore spoke slowly, with a deliberate curl of his lips, yet his words were brimming with threat, "I know the purpose of you getting close to Wesley Foley, do you still not plan to meet with me?"
After speaking, without waiting for Titus Zane’s response, his gaze turned icy, and his voice grew colder.
"I am currently downstairs at your apartment building. Do I come up, or do you come down?"
