Mr. CEO's Substitute Bride
Chapter 469 - 465. Meet Colt Thornton Again
CHAPTER 469: 465. MEET COLT THORNTON AGAIN
Another elevator door opened, and Felix Shaw emerged with a chilling expression on his handsome face.
He received a call from Elizabeth White in the morning, along with scandalous photos she sent of his mother in bed with another man, trying to extort him. In truth, he didn’t need to personally handle this matter, but worried that the photos might be seen by others, he could only come himself.
With a gloomy face, he stepped out of the elevator, looked up, and saw a familiar figure standing in front of the hotel room door. As the door opened, a big hand pulled the woman inside, and Felix finally saw clearly that the woman was... Titus Zane.
He found it amusing. His second brother, that secretive man, still has quite the taste, coming all the way here to book a room... Something doesn’t seem right, his brother’s arms aren’t that muscular.
Narrowing his peach-blossom eyes, Felix called Nathan Moore, "Second brother, East City West Joy Hotel, room 1107, come catch them in the act!"
After dropping that line, Felix hung up the phone, a wicked smile curling at the corner of his lips, "Sorry, sister-in-law, but who asked you to secretly meet another man behind my brother’s back."
"That’s crazy!" In the office, Nathan Moore looked at the phone that had been hung up and mumbled to himself before burying his head back in his work.
Suddenly thinking of something, he grabbed his cellphone and dialed Titus Zane. No one answered until it hanged up automatically, and after redialing once more with the same result, Nathan Moore abruptly stood up, his handsome face tensing as he grabbed his coat and strode towards the office door.
...
When she saw the man who forcefully pulled her into the room, Titus Zane was abruptly shocked, never expecting that it was Colt Thornton who had asked to meet her.
Suppressing the panic inside her, Titus Zane managed a calm smile, "Mr. Thornton, long time no see."
"Yes, it’s been a long time since we last met." Colt Thornton scanned Titus Zane from top to bottom, noticing her sticking close to the door but not hurrying, he extended his hand, and with a click, his thick palm locked the door, "Carry, how have you been doing recently?"
With a composed glance at the door lock beside her, Titus Zane chuckled, "Well... pretty good, I guess,"
"Just pretty good?" Colt Thornton frowned, grabbing her arm and dragging her further inside, "With such a lofty compensation you received, you should be living quite lavishly."
"Mr. Thornton, what are you talking about? I don’t understand," Titus Zane continued to laugh it off, tightly grabbed by Thornton’s arm with no chance to escape, but she surveyed the room’s interior for an opportunity to flee.
"Don’t understand?" Colt Thornton immediately grabbed Titus Zane and sat down on the sofa, his caterpillar-like eyebrows raised, his laugh sarcastic, "Hiring a body double to sleep with me, drugging my drink, you should understand this, right?"
Titus Zane...
At first, she didn’t want to believe that it was her friend who betrayed her, but hearing Colt Thornton say it, no one else besides her friend would know these details.
She stifled her laughter and stopped playing along, "Mr. Thornton, since you already know, let’s not beat around the bush. Tell me, what do you want!"
An official? Looking at Colt Thornton, he didn’t seem like it, especially since if he wanted to claim it officially, he would’ve already gone to the authorities.
"I don’t want much," Colt Thornton said nonchalantly, his hefty fingers slowly caressing Titus Zane’s face, "You’ve caused me so much loss, you probably can’t repay the money, and if I file a report, I’d lose both money and face, so... let’s settle it physically. We’ll call it even once I’ve had enough."
