CHAPTER 748: 744, ANYWHERE BUT HOME

"Felix, stop it, let’s go home." After leaving a tip for the service, Mia Foster pulled Felix Shaw’s hand back, and his face swiveled towards hers as well. With his peach blossom eyes, he seemed both confused and sober, a clear hint of sarcasm curling the corners of his lips, "Go home? Which home? That home? I’m not going back..."

"Okay, we won’t go back there, we’ll go to my home, alright?" Mia Foster cajoled with her good temper. Felix Shaw may look flamboyant and unbridled, but sometimes he was like a child who had yet to grow up, and quite childishly so.

"To your home?" Felix echoed, his eyes bloodshot and looking bewildered. Hearing Mia agree with a "yes," he nodded and turned back to look ahead, the confusion in his eyes turning grim,"Fine, as long as it’s not that home, anywhere is okay."

For a moment, Mia felt he was sober.

Starting the engine, Mia drove towards the residential area where she lived. Throughout the journey, Felix was very quiet, leaning back in his seat with his eyes closed.

Half an hour later, the white Maserati stopped at its designated parking spot. Mia helped Felix undo his seatbelt, speaking softly, "Felix, we’re home. Can you walk on your own?" If he couldn’t walk, she would have to ask the security for help.

Felix opened his eyes, his peach blossom eyes clearly confused as he looked at Mia and, after a delayed reaction, mumbled an "Mm." Mia got out of the car, walked around to the passenger side, and draped Felix’s arm around her neck to help him out.

Felix had drunk quite a bit; although he was still lucid, his limbs were somewhat uncooperative. As he stepped out of the car, he nearly fell, causing Mia to stumble as well.

The two of them staggered into the building. Felix leaned heavily on Mia, swaying back and forth in the elevator, while Mia struggled to keep steady herself.

Finally reaching their floor, Mia helped him out of the elevator and reminded him as they arrived at the door of her home, "Felix, slow down, we’re home," after entering the fingerprint and pushing the door open.

A loud "thud" sound as Felix bumped into the door caused quite a racket, awakening Evelyn Bailey, who had been asleep in the bedroom. She hastily put on a coat over her nightgown and came out, surprised to see her daughter supporting Felix as he entered, "Mia, what’s... what’s wrong with Felix?"

"Mom, Felix is in a bad mood, he’s drunk," Mia explained with a smile as she helped Felix into the living room. Felix looked up with his bleary eyes at Evelyn, gave no greeting, and then dropped his gaze again.

Clutching the collar of her coat, Evelyn didn’t come over to help but asked curiously, "Does he... know?"

Mia, exasperated, "Mom, could you come over and help, please?"

"Oh, yes, of course," Evelyn finally reacted, coming over to help her daughter escort Felix into the room.

After they settled him on the bed, Mia let out a sigh and said to her mother, "It’s late; you should go back to your room and rest."

"Oh, you should rest early too." Evelyn left, thoughtfully closing the bedroom door behind her.

Mia stood with her hands on her hips in front of the bed, looking at the man who had already fallen into a deep sleep, still breathing heavily.

Felix appeared lean but was not light in weight, especially after drinking. His whole body’s weight was pressing on her, and it took a lot of effort to support him home.

After catching her breath, she bent down to help Felix remove his leather shoes, then his belt. Given that it was summer, Felix was only wearing dress pants. When she pulled down the zipper, revealing the black boxer briefs beneath, Mia hesitated for a moment but ultimately helped him remove his trousers. They had already been intimate; besides, resting in dress pants probably wouldn’t be comfortable.
