CHAPTER 19: CHAPTER 19: JULIAN FAIRCHILD, RIGHT?

Those guys sneered disdainfully at Maeve Lane’s reaction.

"This chick is pretty hot, but she’s got a few screws loose, hahahaha."

"She just invited us all to come at her, I wonder if her little frame can handle us, hahahah."

The bunch exchanged lecherous glances, sizing Maeve up with sneaky eyes.

Maeve half-closed her eyes and lifted her chin slightly, "This little frame of mine is more than enough to handle you bunch of embroidered pillows?"

After saying that, she placed her helmet on the stone steps beside her, rotated her wrist, and kicked straight out!

The guy was still chuckling to himself when Maeve’s kick sent him toppling to the ground, landing face-first in the mud!

"Peh peh, you damn brat..."

"Damn brat—ahhh!!"

"Bang!!!"

The dust flew; it had rained yesterday, leaving the ground a bit muddy. Soon enough, several large men were sprawled around the girl.

Amidst the chaos, Maeve casually dusted off her hands, unhurriedly saying, "Not much of a challenge."

She walked a few steps forward, and before those guys could even get back up, they scrambled back in a panic!

"Don’t, don’t, young lady, stop fighting!!"

"We’re just foolish! We won’t bother you anymore!"

They finally realized that this girl was obviously a martial artist!

Maeve snorted lightly at their words, "That’s for the best, otherwise I wouldn’t mind teaching you a lesson?"

"Alright! Let’s go!"

"Go go go!"

After dealing with this group, Maeve counted mentally, "This is the third batch already. Julian Fairchild sure is popular, huh?"

"Of course."

A teasing male voice came from behind her.

Maeve turned around, a flicker of amazement passing through her eyes.

Approaching her were two men, one extremely handsome but with an expression too cold.

The other was bright and handsome, with a faint smile playing on his lips.

Even though both were equally striking, Maeve’s attention remained on Julian Fairchild, who stood behind Henry Hughes.

She raised an eyebrow and let out a playful whistle at Julian, "Hey, handsome?"

Looking every bit the female rogue, she definitely matched the reputation she had at Aurelia University.

Henry Hughes took the initiative to speak, "You’re Maeve Lane, right?"

Maeve glanced at him and nodded, "Hmm."

"I was about to help you earlier, but I didn’t expect you to be so skilled," Henry chuckled, "Where did you learn that?"

Maeve’s gaze stayed on Julian as she nonchalantly replied, "Nothing special, just picked it up for fun."

Julian didn’t avoid her gaze, so the two of them ended up in this oddly harmonious stare-off.

The man was a head taller than Maeve, forcing her to look up at him.

After a while, her neck began to ache a bit.

Interesting.

Maeve mentally scored Julian a nine, the only flaw being his somewhat disagreeable personality.

Seeing Maeve’s focus wasn’t on him, Henry silently fell quiet.

The group lapsed into an awkward silence.

But Maeve would never feel awkward.

She always believed that as long as she wasn’t awkward, then others would be.

She took a step forward, moving right up to Julian. Under her beautiful lashes, her foxy eyes showed seriousness and flirtation.

Meanwhile, Henry, standing beside them, felt something stir quietly within him.

He seemed to understand why, despite knowing Maeve was just playing around, no one was willing to let go.

Maeve herself was simply breathtaking.

Julian was leaning against the weathered wall, arms crossed, and as Maeve moved in, the air between them turned instantly charged.

The corners of the young girl’s mouth curled, her gaze revealing a hint of boldness, "Julian Fairchild, right? Interested in a romance?"
