CHAPTER 42: CHAPTER 42: IT MUST BE A LANE FAMILY DAUGHTER!

"Hmm."

In the grand and elegant room, an elderly man stood with his hands behind his back, hair silver at the temples, his demeanor exuding authority, clearly someone who had been in a position of power for a long time.

A butler respectfully held the phone to his ear.

Hearing Julian Fairchild’s indifferent tone over the phone, Old Master Fairchild restrained his temper and spoke words that only he and Julian could understand, "Have you made up your mind?"

Julian Fairchild exuded an increasingly cold aura, "I won’t marry a woman I’ve never met."

"Even if it means giving up your position as heir?" Old Master Fairchild struck the ground hard with his cane.

"Mm." Julian replied coldly, "Since you like the daughter of the Lane Family so much, why don’t you marry her yourself."

"Insolent!"

Even facing the formidable head of the Fairchild Family, Julian showed no fear.

"Master, please calm down, give the young master a little more time, he’s still young now, he’ll understand your good intentions in the future." Butler Morton spoke up for Julian Fairchild, "Besides, that eldest daughter of the Lane Family is indeed lacking in character..."

Julian squinted his eyes, Maeve Lane’s cold and captivating face suddenly appeared in his mind.

Suppressing his complex emotions, he said, "No, and I won’t marry anyone you arrange for me."

After speaking, the handsome and stern man hung up the phone.
