CHAPTER 102: CHAPTER 101: DIDN’T I SAY, SERENA SULLIVAN IS MRS. GRANT

The water in the cup had just been boiled by the servant, and in a fit of rage, Claire Sullivan didn’t feel its heat when she picked it up. She walked closer and fiercely splashed the water onto the face that resembled her own, only to realize that the water was scalding enough to ruin Serena Sullivan’s face!

"Mom!"

Closest to her, Zoe Quinn had a chance to grab her, urgently calling out but making no move to stop her.

Zoe Quinn wished Serena’s face would be destroyed, so she wouldn’t shamelessly seduce those men.

Just when she was eagerly anticipating the boiling water landing on Serena’s face, a voice swiftly cut through, and with a "splash," the full cup of boiling water was poured onto a man’s back. The white shirt showed the red scalded skin beneath, causing those around to gasp in shock.

Soon after, the opened door was kicked open, and Finn Chandler and Anna Morgan quickly stepped to Serena’s side, one after the other.

Upon arriving and hearing the commotion inside, Finn immediately had Anna break the door code. Once the door was opened, they saw Claire Sullivan holding a cup of hot water, ready to splash it at Serena. They barely had time, and then saw Ethan Grant rush out from the hallway, finally easing the anxiety in their throats.

They understood better than anyone why Claire Sullivan felt the way she did about Joel Quinn’s treatment of Serena.

"Serena, are you alright?"

Anna crouched down in a hurry to check Serena, who was staring at Ethan, then withdrew her thoughts and smiled at them, shaking her head slightly, "I’m fine!"

Ethan arrived just in time so that not a drop of hot water touched her, unlike him...

"Ethan!"

Upon seeing Ethan suddenly appear, Zoe Quinn was first shocked, then remembered the water was scalding. She moved forward to check his injuries but hadn’t reached him when she saw his turned, sullen face, causing her to retreat in panic as tears started to fall.

"Ethan, it’s not my fault."

Zoe’s first response was to completely absolve herself of responsibility, "Mom, how could you splash Ethan!"

These words made Claire feel quite uncomfortable, and Joel Quinn, standing beside them, sternly admonished "Zoe."

Zoe closed her mouth, but as she lowered her head, she glared at Claire resentfully.

Claire’s incompetence had led to Ethan getting hurt.

And Ethan, why did he rush to protect Serena? Even if he wanted to help her, he could have just pushed Claire aside.

"Ethan." Claire had no time to bother with Zoe; she hurriedly apologized to Ethan.

"I’m sorry, auntie didn’t see you coming."

"What do you mean!" Whether from pain or something else, Ethan’s face was icy cold, and his voice likewise emerged chillingly, making one tremble with anxiety, "Splashing Serena is fine!"

"Mrs. Quinn."

His voice was frigid, blending anger with ferocity, causing everyone in the room to breathe lighter, especially Claire, whose face turned pale, feeling fearful in front of the much younger Ethan.

"I’ve said it before, she, Serena is Mrs. Grant!"

The phrase "Mrs. Grant" was like a massive stone being forcibly hurled into their hearts by Ethan, inexplicably causing them panic and pain.

This wasn’t the first time Ethan had publicly acknowledged Serena’s identity!
