Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure
Chapter 109 - 108: I’ll Help You
CHAPTER 109: CHAPTER 108: I’LL HELP YOU
Serena Sullivan heard footsteps fade behind her and sat at the dining table waiting for breakfast to be served.
The servant who had witnessed everything on the sidelines quickly went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.
Not knowing Ethan Grant had returned, she only prepared a bowl of plain porridge.
The servant’s care for Serena became increasingly perfunctory; she had always thought Ethan would eventually marry Zoe Quinn, so she was indifferent.
Who could have guessed Ethan had returned long ago? Even if she was foolish, she could see earlier that Mr. Grant was deeply concerned for Serena.
Such scalding water, he rushed over without even thinking.
The servant was terribly worried, frequently sneaking glances at Serena from the kitchen.
Would Serena complain to the Master and have her sent away? Thankfully, she had photos in her possession...
Serena waited for a while, but seeing breakfast hadn’t been served, she wheeled herself to the bedroom.
Passing Ethan’s room, the door ajar, she saw him undressing, the burn on his back gradually revealing itself to her eyes.
Blisters had already formed on the red, burned skin, but Ethan had no intention of applying medicine; he casually put on a clean shirt instead.
Ignoring the wound, was he out of his mind?
With a bang, Ethan, gritting his teeth against the pain as he donned the shirt, heard movement behind him. He turned to see Serena slowly wheeling in.
The sunlight from outside illuminated them, making their appearances crystal clear to each other.
Especially Ethan.
His shirt had just gone on, the buttons at his chest left undone, leaving more of his body exposed to Serena’s view. Only when she reached him did she realize she’d been staring too long.
"Something you need?"
Just then his phone rang, Ethan, allowing the buttons to remain loose, glanced at the caller ID.
"Your wounds need some medicine, or they’ll worsen."
"Oh."
With his attention on the vibrating phone, Ethan responded absentmindedly.
"I’ll have Auntie come in and help you."
With those words from Serena, the chill in the air intensified. Ethan strode toward her, inexplicable panic rising within her, wanting to retreat, but the wheelchair hit the corner, leaving no escape.
"You’re having Auntie help me with the wounds!"
Ethan leaned down, asked in a cold, subdued voice.
In the depths of those eyes, there was a chilling presence, yet deeper, Serena found herself involuntarily drawn into the whirlpool.
"Serena, how do you think I got these wounds!"
Ethan restrained his anger as he asked again.
He was injured for her, and yet she wanted another woman to touch him!
Was anyone allowed to touch him? Did she think he should be touched by any woman!
A single sentence, Serena never expected it would make Ethan so angry!
"I!"
She wanted to say something, yet didn’t know what could be said, eventually all her words turned into, "Let me help you."
Ethan’s expression softened, he straightened up, and right in front of Serena, took off his shirt.
This time, she could see even more clearly.
Then he sat by the bed...
In the bedroom, there were only the two of them, the window also open, Serena felt unbearably hot! Her cheeks were burning, and why did Ethan once again give her the feeling he was being a flirt!
