CHAPTER 111: CHAPTER 110: THREAT

Serena Sullivan, who had "fled" from Ethan Grant’s room, pushed her wheelchair slowly to her own room, lingering at the doorway for a long time before absentmindedly pushing the door open.

The door wasn’t closed, so with a gentle push, the scene inside unfolded before her eyes.

The servant, Mrs. Zimmerman, was rummaging through her desk, causing Serena to furrow her brows as she wheeled her chair inside, "Mrs. Zimmerman, what are you looking for!"

Mrs. Zimmerman was so engrossed in her search that she didn’t hear the commotion outside the door. When Serena’s voice rang out, her expression changed. She quickly walked to the door to glance in the direction of the master bedroom, confirmed Ethan hadn’t come out, and then quietly closed the door.

"Madam, I noticed your room was messy, so I came to tidy it up for you."

She replied with a smile, having realized that Zoe Quinn’s visit today showed that Ethan wasn’t as indifferent to Serena as one might think.

But, what did it matter if he was protective!

The family estate didn’t like such a useless person as Serena at all.

She had thought about it for a long time and still looked down on Serena from her heart.

"Madam, let me assist you to go have your meal."

Mrs. Zimmerman said, placing her hands on Serena’s wheelchair.

Instead of opening the door immediately, she paused to listen to the sounds outside, confirming it was quiet. She then bent down, leaning close to Serena’s ear, and whispered, "Madam, I won’t tell Mr. Grant about your matter with Young Master Chambers."

As she spoke, she reached into her pocket to take out her phone, and when it was turned on, a photo appeared in Serena’s view.

Serena was stunned for a moment. When Mrs. Zimmerman took the photo, both she and Finn Chandler had sensed it yesterday, but she didn’t think the servant had captured a photo of just her and Finn, at a time when Anna had already entered the room.

That is to say, one photo could really cause a misunderstanding about her relationship with Finn Chandler, suggesting she brought Finn over while Ethan wasn’t around.

Seeing Serena frightened by her, Mrs. Zimmerman smiled slightly and put the phone back in her pocket, "Madam, last night, I thought Miss Quinn took you out for some fun, I didn’t know that sort of thing would happen!"

"I’m really sorry!"

She said it seemingly with respect, but her eyes were full of mirth.

Serena pressed her lips together and smiled slightly.

"Oh!"

Serena responded flatly, then lowered her head.

Mrs. Zimmerman straightened her body, and when she looked at Serena again, her eyes showed traces of disdain.

Perhaps Serena really had something with Finn Chandler, otherwise, why did he appear again this morning!

With control over someone’s weakness, her courage unexpectedly grew.

"Madam, don’t worry, I will take good care of you from now on."

Mrs. Zimmerman promised again, seeing that Serena did not respond, she worried that Ethan might come searching, so she pushed her towards the dining area first.

Upon reaching the dining room, she helped Serena serve porridge and small dishes, putting on an appearance of careful attention.

When she heard footsteps approaching, she immediately stood aside. As Ethan Grant approached, she greeted him with a smile, "Mr. Grant, breakfast is ready, see if there’s anything else you and Madam would like to have!"

"No need, later have someone come up and tidy the room."

"Alright, sir!"

The servant replied respectfully. Although she wasn’t the only one taking care of Serena, she was primarily responsible, effectively acting as the housekeeper here.

As she turned to leave, the servant deliberately glanced at Serena.

Serena lifted her head to meet her gaze and received a cold, harsh look in return.
