Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure
Chapter 123 - 122: Who Said There’s No Evidence
CHAPTER 123: CHAPTER 122: WHO SAID THERE’S NO EVIDENCE
"Who said there’s no evidence!"
A voice suddenly echoed, and everyone followed the sound to see a woman beside the board member of The Grant Corporation stepping out with an indifferent expression.
Earlier, the board member had arrived with two women, Claire Sullivan leading the way, shielding Zoe Quinn as she entered, admonishing Serena Sullivan, so the people in the conference room didn’t notice the other woman.
Now, as she stood out, the attendees, especially those from the design department, found her familiar.
She was about the same age as Claire Sullivan, wearing a green long dress reaching her ankles, not as beautiful as Claire Sullivan, but she maintained and dressed herself well. Her complexion was clean without wrinkles, giving off a graceful and grand aura, filled with an artist’s charisma.
"I have a video here that everyone can take a look at."
She walked to the conference table, raised her head, and looked at Serena Sullivan.
Contrary to her demeanor, the woman’s eyes reflected a coldness, giving off an aloof vibe, as if looking down on everyone.
Her clean fingers tapped on the phone’s screen, and a video popped up, followed by a person wearing a mask coming into everyone’s view.
Although the woman in the video was covering most of her face, Serena Sullivan recognized her at once; it was the household servant—Mrs. Zimmerman.
Serena Sullivan found it strange, as Zoe Quinn, who had suffered many times under her, somehow called Sean Lockwood as a witness!
Most of the attendees were top executives of The Grant Corporation; to believe Zoe Quinn’s work was plagiarized by Serena Sullivan just because of Sean Lockwood’s words seemed quite far-fetched!
It was only with the board member’s arrival with Claire Sullivan and this woman’s appearance that Serena Sullivan was certain.
Sean Lockwood was nothing more than a distraction tactic, as were Claire Sullivan and the servant in the video.
The witness, like four years ago, was her!
Who could speak with more weight than her, especially given their relationship!
"I was Serena Sullivan’s caretaker."
In the video, Mrs. Zimmerman testified earnestly, "I saw Serena Sullivan copying a design in the room."
"This one!"
After watching the brief video, Serena Sullivan laughed.
If they wanted to act, she would play along.
"Sister, won’t you admit it yet?"
Zoe Quinn glanced at Ethan Grant, whose face was growing colder, and angrily questioned, her eyes red.
Serena Sullivan didn’t admit it, which was better, because there would be more evidence to incriminate her.
The more she denied, the harder the evidence would slap Serena Sullivan’s face later.
"Just because a masked person says she’s my servant, does that make her one!"
Serena Sullivan asked humorously, "My caretaker is paid by my family, how come she’s helping you testify? Did you give her something?"
"Moreover, it’s just a matter of saying a few words, which I can also do! This kind of evidence, isn’t it quite amusing?"
Serena Sullivan taunted with a smile, provoking Claire Sullivan to glare at her angrily, and the sound of Sean Lockwood from Zoe Quinn’s phone was heard with a "humph."
Due to the speakerphone being on, Sean Lockwood didn’t dare curse Serena Sullivan as arrogantly as before.
"Do you want more direct evidence?"
The woman who presented the servant’s video asked calmly.
Facing Serena Sullivan’s skepticism, she maintained more composure than Claire Sullivan and Zoe Quinn.
"I think you should present more straightforward evidence!" Serena Sullivan suggested with a smile, looking at the woman opposite her, raising her voice softly, adding three words, "Ms. Hale!"
