Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure
Chapter 146 - 145: See Who You’re Up Against
CHAPTER 146: CHAPTER 145: SEE WHO YOU’RE UP AGAINST
Not dead, why pretend to be pitiable in front of him.
The voice was too indifferent. Over the years, Zoe Quinn had relied on her delicate face and extraordinary crying skills to leave countless men enthralled. Sean Lockwood was not the first fool like this.
Ethan Grant used to be indifferent to her, but wasn’t he moved by her a month before Serena Sullivan returned?
"Ethan, it hurts!" Ethan Grant’s fingers suddenly moved to her wound, making Zoe Quinn cry out in pain.
Ethan Grant didn’t let go. Instead, he tightened his grip on the wound. When Zoe looked at him again, she found Ethan Grant’s expression cold and chilling, just like King Yama emerging from hell.
Over the years, all of Solaria had been saying that Young Master Grant had changed, become cold-blooded and ruthless, severing all family ties.
In Zoe Quinn’s eyes, Ethan Grant had changed, but in one aspect he had never changed.
And that was, nobody could touch Serena Sullivan, whom he held dear to his heart.
"Zoe Quinn, I came over to see if you died."
Ethan Grant leaned in close. His handsome face, exuding a fierce intensity, frightened Zoe Quinn to the point of wanting to sob.
The tears weren’t an act, but fear emanating from deep within, fear towards Ethan Grant at this very moment.
"Ethan," she cried out, hoping to evoke even a slight bit of pity from him with her tears and vulnerability.
Ethan Grant’s grip slowly intensified, and his cold words emerged once more, "Playing the suicide game? You should see who you’re up against?"
It was Sean Lockwood, already won over by Zoe, but he was Ethan Grant.
"Ah!"
Unable to bear the harshness of Ethan Grant, Zoe screamed sharply for help as he began to tighten his grip on her wrist, "Save me, Mom, save me!"
Just as she screamed, Claire Sullivan and Ruth Hale, who were guarding the door, barged in one after the other, followed closely by Joel Quinn.
They saw Ethan Grant clutching Zoe Quinn’s wrist and noticed the bloodstains seeping through the bandage. Ruth Hale was the first to push Ethan Grant away and sternly demanded, "Ethan Grant, what are you doing?"
"Zoe attempted suicide for you, and not only do you not care about her, you’re also laying hands on her here."
Having said that, Claire Sullivan proceeded to examine Zoe Quinn’s wound at the bedside.
Ethan Grant hadn’t exerted strength; they had just barged in, and Zoe Quinn’s wrist wasn’t injured.
"Ethan Grant, if you don’t like Zoe, please stop disrupting her life." Claire Sullivan said in a calm tone.
The words were intriguing. Ethan Grant said nothing, but Zoe Quinn began to cry, "Ethan, I really love you, don’t treat me like this, okay?"
Even if Ethan Grant didn’t like her, she still wanted to disrupt his life; how could she sever ties with him?
"Zoe, stop crying, he simply doesn’t know how to cherish you." Ruth Hale said angrily, noting how Ethan Grant embarrassed Zoe at the final draft meeting for Serena Sullivan, and now he came over to hurt Zoe again.
A man who loves Serena Sullivan is just not worthwhile! But unfortunately, Zoe likes him!
Confronted by these two women’s affection, Ethan Grant took a few steps aside, putting some distance between them.
"Since everyone is here, that’s great. Saves me from repeating myself multiple times!"
Ethan Grant wanted to take out a cigarette, then realized the cigarettes were in his jacket, which he had just tossed into the trash bin earlier, so he had to hold back.
