Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure
Chapter 153 - 152: If You Dare to Interfere, Come at Your Own Risk
CHAPTER 153: CHAPTER 152: IF YOU DARE TO INTERFERE, COME AT YOUR OWN RISK
"Young Master, they won’t allow you to marry someone useless. Don’t forget, back then when you were locked up..."
"Useless!"
Ethan Grant interrupted Mrs. Zimmerman’s words coldly as he bent down to extinguish his cigarette in the ashtray. Before she could react, her hand was suddenly grabbed by Ethan.
With a loud "smack," Mrs. Zimmerman screamed and fell to the floor. Yvette Sterling quickly rushed over, only to see Mrs. Zimmerman’s fingers hanging limply, bleeding profusely and horrifyingly.
Looking back at Ethan, he threw the ashtray to the ground with a calm face and coldly glanced at Mrs. Zimmerman, who was writhing in pain on the floor.
"Tell them, if they want to meddle in my affairs, they’re welcome to come and not be afraid of death."
He thought of smoking again but discarded the idea as he threw the cigarette pack back on the table and stood up from the sofa.
"Those who assault their employers cannot stay. Throw her out of Willow Yarrow."
Ethan said to Yvette, who hesitated for a moment before nodding.
Under intense pain, Mrs. Zimmerman heard Ethan’s words and hurried over to plead with him.
If the employers outside knew she was expelled for assaulting her employer at Willow Yarrow, who would dare hire her again! At her age, with nothing but labor skills, this was practically a death sentence!
"Young Master, I was wrong."
Mrs. Zimmerman cried out in agony. Touching Ethan’s trouser leg with her broken finger caused cold sweat to break out on her forehead from the pain.
The guards outside promptly entered to drag her away.
She regretted it. Why didn’t she just do her job properly? Why did she have to listen to the young lady and go against Serena Sullivan!
The Grant Family had long changed; it was now Ethan Grant’s realm.
As she was dragged away, crying and shouting, Yvette watched Ethan tidying his clothes and remarked with a grin, "In Mrs. Sullivan’s eyes, you must be the handsomest."
Such flattery...
Ethan curved his lips into a smile and glanced at him, "Go and snatch that project Felix Lockwood has been eyeing recently."
Yvette was stunned and hesitated to reply, "Mr. Lockwood has been working on that project for half a month. Would it be inappropriate for us to intervene? Besides, there’s the matter with Carter..."
"I’ll call Carter myself."
Ethan’s voice turned cold as he continued, "Don’t think flattering me is enough. If you can’t get this done, you can kiss your bonuses goodbye this year."
This was an ultimatum. Yvette grieved inwardly, rubbing his nose. They’re all relatives, sir, isn’t it a bit much to poach your brother-in-law’s business just to protect your wife?
Ethan walked to the guest bedroom, thought for a moment, then went back to his room to change clothes and sprayed on some cologne.
He pushed the door open and saw Serena struggling to put on a dress on the bed.
Hearing the sound, Serena’s face turned red upon seeing Ethan enter, and she quickly pulled the blanket over to cover herself.
"Is there something you need?"
Serena took a deep breath and asked.
"Mrs. Zimmerman has left."
Ethan walked to the bedside, his gaze falling on her flushed face, and he spoke gently.
"Oh!"
The commotion outside was hard to miss. Mrs. Zimmerman screamed tragically; Serena had no idea what Ethan did to her.
However, it was none of her concern.
"If there’s nothing else, please leave."
Serena’s voice turned cold, and she thought of the unfinished clothes beneath the blanket, adding, "And call a servant for me."
