CHAPTER 21: CHAPTER 21: SLAPPING MR. GRANT’S FACE

Last night, she had been waiting for Ethan Grant to come back, just to take this photo.

"Even Mr. Grant thinks my work is genuine, you wouldn’t oppose him, would you?"

Left with "Mr. Grant", right with "Mr. Grant", Serena Sullivan put away her phone and smiled at them.

"Su..."

"No, Mrs. Grant...".

One interviewer realized and asked immediately.

Serena smiled and responded, "Chief Designer, that’s my job application requirement."

Elevate herself and give others room to negotiate down.

Getting the Chief position would be best, if not, then second best, just get into The Grant Corporation’s design department first.

Chief Designer!

The interviewers looked at each other, Serena went straight for the Chief position using Mr. Grant as leverage.

That position was reserved for Miss Quinn!

Serena wasn’t in a hurry, she smiled and asked back, "How can Mr. Grant’s wife work under someone else?"

That "someone else" is Mr. Grant’s beloved mistress.

"Is there anything else you’d like to ask?"

With just a few words, Serena completely took control, seeing the hesitant expressions on the interviewers’ faces, she spoke first.

If they gave her the Chief position, they feared they couldn’t handle it; if not, they feared she’d complain on the pillow.

"Mrs. Grant."

The middle interviewer stood up, changed his address and said as he smiled and held the door for Serena to leave, "Please, we’ll inform you as soon as we have news."

"If I’m not satisfied with the result, I’ll speak to Mr. Grant myself."

This woman, sitting in a wheelchair, kept smiling, no matter how coldly they ridiculed her. In the end, her light words gave them an invisible pressure, making them inexplicably led by her nose.

Moreover, if her work was truly her own creation, her level is qualified enough to be Chief Designer.

So, after the interview, one interviewer really wanted to give her the Chief Designer position.

"No way, the Chief position is reserved for Miss Quinn."

No matter how average Zoe Quinn’s work is, it has to follow Mr. Grant’s orders.

Everyone knew the interview was just for show, the candidate had been decided long ago.

But, Serena suddenly came to compete for the Chief position, making them, the subordinates, very awkward.

A wife, a mistress, who to choose?

Knocking followed, the interviewers saw the door open from the outside and Yvette Sterling coming in, and they quickly welcomed her.

"Assistant Sterling, you’re finally here."

"Have you decided on the candidate?" Yvette asked calmly, already having seen everything here with Mr. Grant through the surveillance.

"Decided."

The interviewers had no choice but to hand over the list with Zoe Quinn as Chief, just let Serena be a designer.

After looking at the list given to him, Yvette laughed, "Your judgment isn’t very good, is it?"

"Assistant Sterling, is there something wrong?"

They didn’t think there was a mistake; although Serena is Mrs. Grant, Mr. Grant’s beloved woman is Zoe Quinn.

"You’re making Mrs. Grant work under someone and take orders!"

"This seems like a slap to Mr. Grant’s face!"

Yvette sneered as she said, "This is The Grant Corporation, if Mrs. Grant is not the head of the department, who should be?"

The interviewers still looked confused at Yvette, who impatiently returned the list, "Print another copy."

"If you mess up again, be prepared to face the consequences yourselves."

The threat in his words was too obvious, leaving the interviewers truly puzzled.

This interview wasn’t meant for Miss Quinn, now it seems it was all for Serena Sullivan.

Because Mr. Grant changed his wife?
