Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure
Chapter 221 - 220: The Clothes Look Familiar
CHAPTER 221: CHAPTER 220: THE CLOTHES LOOK FAMILIAR
Joel Quinn stayed in the hospital for three days before coming to The Sullivan Corporation with his injuries.
He’s a very diligent person; you could also say he’s worried.
With Serena Sullivan at The Sullivan Corporation, he’s even more concerned, not daring to stay home to recover.
To take care of him, Claire Sullivan brought various nourishing soups to the company every day. Before this, Serena always thought Claire couldn’t cook, because she had never made anything Serena had eaten.
But when it came to Joel Quinn, whether she could cook or whether her culinary potential was tapped, she made dishes that were full of color, aroma, and taste. The soups delivered to The Sullivan Corporation received countless compliments from the employees.
It’s not just that they were flattering Claire Sullivan. Once, Serena ran into her in the hallway, and Claire Sullivan gave her a cold stare before walking past. The food container she was carrying had a fragrance that was intense; Serena could tell just from the smell that the soup was simmered to perfection and must be delicious.
Serena felt a bit sad, but she quickly suppressed it. She and Claire Sullivan had severed their mother-daughter relationship, so for an unrelated outsider, whatever she cooked and whom she gave it to, what did it matter to Serena?
Ruth Hale was eventually kicked out of The Sullivan Corporation as planned between Serena and Joel Quinn. Rumors started spreading that Serena couldn’t tolerate Ruth and kicked out someone who contributed significantly to the company.
When Ruth left, she took with her a few valued designers, including the girl who always wore black suits and dressed conservatively.
The Brilliance Competition was moved forward, and Ruth took her team to prepare for it.
After that, Zoe Quinn didn’t bother Serena anymore. One reason was fear; the other was her preparation for The Brilliance Competition.
Zoe lost a lot of face over the finalized "Infatuation" series at The Grant Corporation, labeled as plagiarizing Ethan Grant’s work, so she wanted a comeback, aiming to stir up something at The Brilliance Competition.
The Brilliance Competition was important to Zoe Quinn and Ruth Hale, and to Serena Sullivan as well.
Serena had prepared a great gift for the two of them.
To cheer her up, Finn Chandler was returning from the Imperial Capital.
On the day of the competition, Ethan Grant put on the new clothes Serena had bought for him.
The clothes were a bit tight, the pants a bit short, but it didn’t affect how handsome he looked wearing them.
A good-looking man looks stylish no matter what he wears, although on closer inspection, this outfit did seem a bit odd.
He straightened his bow tie in front of the mirror and walked out the door wearing it.
Serena, who was having breakfast in the dining room, saw him coming out and casually looked up, intending just to take a glance.
Seeing Ethan Grant’s outfit, she froze.
This outfit looked so familiar!
Ethan Grant, noticing Serena staring at him, smiled a bit awkwardly. He approached, sat across from Serena, and softly said, "You’re going to The Brilliance Competition later, right? I’ll take you there!"
Serena kept looking at him, surely thinking he looked great in that outfit.
"Ethan Grant."
Serena came back to her senses, hesitated, and softly spoke to Ethan, "That outfit of yours..."
"Looks great!"
Ethan Grant picked up the conversation with a smile, "I really like it."
Serena was stunned again, wanting to say that the clothes were bought for Finn Chandler.
That day at the mall, she hadn’t even thought about buying them for Ethan.
However, seeing Ethan’s happy face, Serena worried that if she told the truth, he’d explode in anger given his current temperament!
Forget it; it looks fine enough; let it be.
Next time, she’ll buy one for Finn Chandler.
