Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure
Chapter 55: Please Call Me Mrs. Grant
CHAPTER 55: CHAPTER 55: PLEASE CALL ME MRS. GRANT
"Sister, Ethan doesn’t have time for such trivial matters." She hastily chided, thinking that saying this would curb Serena’s arrogance. Who knew, right after she spoke, Serena decisively sent the recording to "Ethan Grant".
This number was the "Good Samaritan’s", and Serena thought about it and decided to change the note to "Ethan Grant", just in case she had to fool Zoe Quinn and the others.
Zoe Quinn and Shannon Shaw couldn’t reach for the phone in time, both standing there in shock, unsure of what to do now!
"Serena!"
Zoe Quinn couldn’t contain the anger surging in her chest and spoke coldly.
Her shrill voice reached the people outside the door, and as Zoe realized she was provoked by Serena into revealing her true self, she gritted her teeth and swallowed back all her words.
The most worried was Shannon Shaw. She always said that Zoe Quinn and Ethan Grant were the best match, but having seen Ethan handle his own nephew personally, she was actually quite terrified!
This designer job, she worked hard to please Zoe Quinn over a long time to get it. If it was gone...
Shannon Shaw didn’t dare to think more, her tear-filled eyes fixed tightly on Zoe Quinn.
By this point, the atmosphere in the office had changed, and another designer didn’t dare to say a word, grateful that although she had mocked Serena Sullivan behind her back, she hadn’t confronted her directly.
No, in the future, she wouldn’t even dare to mock.
Serena was too wild, too crafty in her manipulation!
"I’m sorry, Miss Su..." Shannon Shaw reluctantly and unwillingly apologized, and upon seeing the smile on Serena’s face, froze for a moment and corrected herself, continuing, "Mrs. Grant."
Hearing her own people call Serena "Mrs. Grant", Zoe Quinn clenched her fists tightly, her beautifully done nails pressing painfully into her palms.
If Serena didn’t accept Shannon Shaw’s apology, she could use it as an excuse to make a fuss.
"Let’s get to work."
Serena didn’t give Zoe Quinn this chance and said calmly.
The other designer dared not disobey, turned and returned to her seat to work peacefully, Shannon Shaw once again stumbled in Serena’s hands and had no choice but to compromise.
In just five minutes, Serena made two people in the office fear her and obey her, and Zoe Quinn watched with anger nearly gushing out of her eyes.
But she couldn’t, she took several deep breaths, calming her frantic emotions.
Zoe Quinn lowered her head, glanced at the jewelry necklace on her neck, thought about her next move, lightly pressed her lips, and the smile returned to her face. When she looked up again, her smile was like a venomous snake coldly staring at Serena, ready to strike as soon as Serena let her guard down.
"Sister."
Zoe Quinn walked to Serena’s side and called out, smiling as she took a box from her handbag and placed it on the desk.
The blue velvet packaging box looked exquisite and beautiful, and Serena turned her head to see Zoe Quinn open it, revealing a necklace inside.
From the material, this necklace was platinum, with a pendant made of rhinestones.
The style was old-fashioned, neither particularly beautiful nor particularly ugly.
"I was wrong before."
Zoe Quinn faced away from the door and Shannon, and they heard her gentle tone while at the same time, her eyes were filled with tears of laughter, her vicious expression fully displayed on her face, a mask couldn’t cover it.
"No matter what, you are my sister. I hope, for the sake of old times and for mom, you can forgive me."
Zoe Quinn slowed her voice, sounding very sincere.
"Forgive you!"
