Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure
Chapter 65: This Is Fake
CHAPTER 65: CHAPTER 65: THIS IS FAKE
"Miss Sullivan is still trying to defend herself!"
Shannon Shaw said mockingly, the police chief is here, on the brink of devastation, yet still struggling desperately.
Although Serena Sullivan had some reasoning, the item was found in her drawer, and there’s a video proving she touched the necklace, so the police chief has no choice but to take Serena Sullivan away.
"Seems like none of you believe me."
Serena Sullivan sighed helplessly, as Zoe Quinn crouched fraudulently in front of her, "Sister, I’m sorry, it’s all my fault."
Serena Sullivan was the one who stole the item, yet Zoe Quinn kept apologizing profusely, gaining a large wave of sympathy from onlookers.
Especially the male colleagues, seeing the tears glisten in Zoe Quinn’s eyes and hearing her gentle voice, truly made them feel compassion.
How could there be such a kind and gentle woman like Miss Quinn in this world!
"I really didn’t steal!" Serena Sullivan stated firmly with a smile, looking up at the nearby police chief, "Sir, I have a video here too. How about you watch it before deciding whether to take me away?"
The police chief was summoned by Shannon Shaw making a call, not actually intending to follow him to the station to prove her innocence, she didn’t want to waste public resources on such back-and-forth.
Now that he’s here, someone has to be taken to the station, but it definitely won’t be her!
Amidst Zoe Quinn’s sobbing, Shannon Shaw’s contemptuous mocking, and the whispers of the crowd, Serena Sullivan acted as if she didn’t hear any of it, first pressing a button on her watch, then opening her phone.
The phone displayed a video, clearly visible to the police chief.
"Serena Sullivan, no matter what video you show to the police chief, it’s useless, you stole the necklace."
Shannon Shaw leaned in, shouting in anger, then inadvertently saw herself in the video, froze on the spot, her face turning pale quickly, beautifully so.
"How is this possible!"
She replied dumbfounded, and when she came to her senses, Shannon Shaw screamed, "It’s fake, it’s fake!"
She reached out to snatch the phone from the police chief and smash it on the ground.
However, the police chief did not give her the chance; he handed the phone back to Serena Sullivan, took out the handcuffs, and cuffed Shannon Shaw.
"Now, I have reason to suspect you of stealing valuable jewelry, please come to the station with me!"
The turn of events happened so quickly that everyone was stunned, Shannon Shaw, who had been accusing Serena Sullivan of stealing Miss Quinn’s jewelry, was now being taken away by the police chief.
Zoe Quinn was bewildered too, she looked down at Serena Sullivan’s phone placed on her lap, grabbed it, then opened the previous video.
Serena Sullivan smiled as she sat in the wheelchair, not stopping Zoe Quinn from taking her phone, merely smiling and reminding, "Zoe, don’t smash my phone."
"Otherwise, the police chief might suspect you and Shannon Shaw are in cahoots."
Initially truly wanting to smash Serena Sullivan’s phone, Zoe Quinn trembled upon hearing this, yes, she couldn’t smash it, if she did, it would seem deliberate, like she was helping Shannon Shaw.
"Miss Quinn, save me!"
Shannon Shaw saw herself being filmed hiding Zoe Quinn’s jewelry in Serena Sullivan’s drawer, and she panicked completely.
How did Serena Sullivan record it? What did she use to film it! She couldn’t understand, looking toward Serena Sullivan, she suddenly noticed the watch on Serena’s wrist, realizing instantly.
This morning, she was the first to arrive at the office, and then...
