Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure
Chapter 72: That Scumbag Gu Is Right Behind You
CHAPTER 72: CHAPTER 72: THAT SCUMBAG GU IS RIGHT BEHIND YOU
"Yvette Sterling." After speaking, Ethan Grant called Yvette Sterling, who was standing at the door, in a calm voice.
Yvette Sterling stepped forward with a smile and spoke to Zoe Quinn, who was fiddling with her phone, "Miss Quinn, would you like to leave on your own, or should I call up security?"
"Calling security to drag you out, Miss Quinn, wouldn’t be very pleasant."
Hearing Yvette Sterling’s threat, Zoe Quinn’s eyes reddened with resentment as she glared at Ethan Grant. Ethan turned his back to her, not even bothering to give her a glance, which made Zoe stomp her feet angrily and sob as she unwillingly walked out.
"From now on, whoever lets her in again is out of The Grant Corporation."
Ethan Grant’s icy words sent the secretary at the door into a fearful shock, and she nodded repeatedly with trembling.
After Shannon Shaw was taken away by the police chief, it wasn’t long before the HR department issued an announcement about her dismissal. Moreover, it was heard that Grant Group warned that anyone who hires her is opposing Grant Group.
The Grant Corporation, as the leading company in Solaria, certainly had the power to ban a small employee.
This Shannon Shaw could forget about making it in Solaria.
With these developments, it was hard not to see Ethan Grant’s concern for Serena Sullivan, contrary to what was thought.
Otherwise, how could Ethan deal so harshly with Shannon Shaw, who was under Zoe Quinn’s wing?
As a result, Serena’s days at Grant Group were much better than before. As for Zoe Quinn, she was, after all, the daughter of Joel Quinn, the general manager of The Sullivan Corporation, so they treated her with conspicuous politeness.
As soon as it was time to get off work, Yvette Sterling promptly wheeled Serena Sullivan out of the design department, and they waited at The Grant Corporation’s entrance for the car to arrive.
"Serena!"
A sports car pulled up in front of Serena Sullivan, and as the door opened, Anna Morgan’s voice came from inside, her makeup still on, and she was dressed in period costume.
She had come straight from the set.
"Why are you here?" Serena asked with a smile, though she guessed the reason for Anna’s sudden visit to The Grant Corporation.
"Did Zoe Quinn do anything to you? Are you hurt?"
"How could that jerk Ethan let you be bullied on his turf?"
Seeing Anna Morgan’s fierce demeanor made Serena’s smile even broader. Despite that car accident that had left her legs useless, she had gained two of the best friends.
Even if she lived her life to the end, it would still have been worthwhile.
"I wasn’t bullied." Serena pulled Anna’s hand over. "Shannon Shaw has already been kicked out of The Grant Corporation. She probably won’t find another company willing to take her."
"Really?" Hearing Serena’s words, Anna Morgan felt a weight lift off her shoulders.
"Sean Lockwood came and told me about what happened to you, so I rushed right over."
She summarized briefly. She wouldn’t tell Serena how she, in the midst of filming, had been rudely interrupted by a furious Sean Lockwood. After hearing him complain about Serena mistreating Zoe and taking someone to the police, she had kicked Sean Lockwood down in a burst of anger, hurriedly told the director, skipped notifying her manager, and drove straight over.
Seeing how awful Sean Lockwood’s expression was, she thought to herself that since Serena had sent Zoe Quinn’s person to the police, Ethan Grant, that scumbag, surely wouldn’t let Serena off easily.
Thankfully, "That scumbag’s glare isn’t as bad as Sean Lockwood’s!"
"Ahem!" Serena noticed another car approaching at the entrance and saw its rear window was down, so she coughed deliberately to remind Anna.
