Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure
Chapter 76: Ethan, Do You Know How Much I Hate You?
CHAPTER 76: CHAPTER 76: ETHAN, DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I HATE YOU?
After Ethan Grant got into the car, he turned his head to look at Serena Sullivan, whose head was leaning against the window, and reached out his hand to place it between her head and the glass when she lifted it.
In this way, Serena’s head could only bump into his palm.
This gesture lasted until they returned, when he got out of the car and moved his stiff and numb hand, then went over to open the door and carry Serena in.
The servant hadn’t gone downstairs to her room yet, and upon seeing them return, she went to open the master bedroom door, but Ethan Grant stopped her, "Guest room."
The servant was puzzled for a moment, seeing Ethan carrying Serena back, naturally assuming the two would be together in the master bedroom. Then she reconsidered, thinking, what man would be willing to sleep with a disabled woman.
She glanced coldly at Serena in Ethan’s arms, went to open the guest room door, and then retreated.
Ethan gently placed Serena on the bed. As he stood up intending to leave, a hand reached out and grabbed his pants.
Ethan turned his head and saw Serena partially open her eyes to look at him, "Ethan Grant, do you know how much I hate you?"
She spoke quietly, each word like a hammer striking harshly at Ethan’s heart.
Perhaps the pain in his heart was so intense, Ethan was as if frozen, standing motionless at the bedside, staring at the drunken Serena.
He waited for her to continue and insult him further.
But nothing!
Aside from that sentence, she just looked at him calmly without saying anything more!
No one knows how long they stared at each other until Serena closed her eyes and turned her head to the other side, allowing Ethan to finally lift his foot and leave the guest room.
Once he left, the surroundings became very quiet, and Serena slowly opened her eyes, smiling with her lips pursed, even flipping over was now a challenging task for her.
Ethan Grant, do you know? I have nothing left! Nothing at all!
On this day, Serena was resting, she got up early to modify the design draft but hadn’t started yet when she received a call from Mrs. Chen of The Sullivan Family.
"Miss Sullivan, the old master has fainted; do you have some time to come back to The Sullivan Residence and check on him?"
"Grandfather fainted?" Serena answered the call while pushing her wheelchair out, in the living room, the servant was cleaning, Ethan Grant had left earlier for The Grant Corporation.
"I’ll be right over."
After hanging up the phone, she said to the servant, "Please arrange a car for me to go to The Sullivan Family."
The busy servant reluctantly slowed her actions and said, "The driver is at The Grant Corporation, madam. You’ll have to take a taxi yourself."
She said this while glancing down at Serena’s legs on the wheelchair, "Oh right, madam, your legs are inconvenient, and most people, you really can’t sit with them. I also can’t carry you to the car. Unless..."
"Unless I call Mr. Grant to come back," Serena said coldly.
Ordinarily, Serena could turn a blind eye to how lightly the servant treated her, not wanting to bother with it, but now she urgently needed to return to The Sullivan Family, unable to tolerate the servant’s disdain and ridicule.
"Mr. Grant himself despises you; do you think he’ll come back just because you ask?"
Mocking her, the servant saw Serena’s cold face drop, fearing she might complain to Ethan, unwillingly taking her phone to call the driver back to fetch Serena.
Serena went downstairs to wait directly, and soon, the driver arrived to push her into the car and head to The Sullivan Family.
