Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure
Chapter 78: Disgusting Air
CHAPTER 78: CHAPTER 78: DISGUSTING AIR
"And why shouldn’t I get The Sullivan Corporation, Claire Sullivan? Have you forgotten where you got the money four years ago when The Sullivan Corporation’s funds broke off?"
Mentioning the past, Claire Sullivan’s cold face cracked, and when she looked at Serena Sullivan in the wheelchair, guilt flashed in her eyes.
If it weren’t for the financial issues, Serena Sullivan and Ethan Grant might not have separated four years ago.
"Claire." Joel Quinn strode forward, holding the hand of the enraged Claire Sullivan, gently said, "Serena has finally come back, why are you losing your temper with her!"
"She’s just a child!"
As Joel Quinn spoke, he turned his head, smilingly looking at Serena Sullivan. Over the years, with Claire Sullivan’s careful nurture, he gained a touch of upper-class demeanor.
Serena Sullivan didn’t like him, nor did she like the smile in his eyes when he looked at her.
"What child? She’s only a year older than Zoe yet lacks Zoe’s maturity and obedience, constantly scheming against Zoe."
Serena Sullivan stole Ethan Grant, causing Zoe Quinn to cry day and night, not to mention setting up scenarios in the company to drive Zoe’s friends away.
Claire Sullivan’s anger flared up again; she remembered each of these incidents.
"I don’t have such a vicious daughter!"
After she said it with resentment, she turned and glared coldly. Aunt Chen hurriedly moved the wheelchair aside, fearing Claire Sullivan might lay a hand on Miss Serena again.
Hearing Claire Sullivan’s anger, Serena Sullivan pursed her lips, mocking smile appeared, provoking Claire Sullivan even more.
"Look at her face, what attitude does she have towards me!"
Joel Quinn followed Claire Sullivan’s words and looked at Serena Sullivan, smiling slightly.
Serena Sullivan saw his smile, her hand clenched tightly on the wheelchair armrest, her voice deepened,
"Aunt Chen!"
"Push me inside, the air here is disgusting."
She didn’t want to confront Claire Sullivan and Joel Quinn at all; even staying a minute longer felt uncomfortable.
"Listen to what she’s saying!" Claire Sullivan’s temper flared up; she broke free from Joel Quinn’s hand, shouting angrily.
Speaking, she stepped forward, blocking Serena Sullivan and the others, "This is The Sullivan Family, without my consent, let’s see who dares to push you inside!"
Threatened by her, Aunt Chen slowed down her actions.
The old master’s health was deteriorating, and Miss Serena rarely came back. Claire Sullivan and The Joyce Family took control, leaving the servants on the sidelines.
The sound of something crashing to the ground followed the "bang" in the villa.
The old master inside, hearing the noise outside, grew angry.
"Miss, the old master is waiting to see Miss Serena, just let them in." Aunt Chen advised, Claire Sullivan’s temper was good in the past, but these years, Joel’s family made her arrogant and capricious.
"Claire."
Joel Quinn called out, frowned, helplessly gazing at Serena Sullivan in the wheelchair.
Serena Sullivan wouldn’t plead with Claire Sullivan, nor did she want to put Aunt Chen in a difficult position. Her hand reached for the wheels, intending to head directly towards Claire Sullivan.
"No one is allowed in!"
Claire Sullivan showed panic, stepping back, while behind her came urgent footsteps, rhythmically knocking on everyone’s hearts.
"I’ll push you inside."
A cool voice came, as a man straightened up and walked to the door; sunlight poured over, filling the entire yard, his appearance gradually becoming clear in the light.
Serena Sullivan looked up, meeting his eyes, watching him stride towards her, stunned.
Why is he here too?
