CHAPTER 96: CHAPTER 96

Arriving at the police station, Finn Chandler accompanied Serena Sullivan to record her statement, and the two recounted the events of that night in detail.

Serena Sullivan made three points about the incident:

First, Ethan Grant was originally supposed to marry Zoe Quinn, but it later turned into her;

Second, Claire Sullivan and The Joyce Family wanted to introduce her to another partner, and this banquet was meant to create an opportunity for her to meet Young Master Grant;

Third, it was Zoe who invited her to the banquet, and it was also Zoe who pushed her into the room.

Connecting these three points, it was Zoe’s attempt to steal Ethan from Serena, deliberately orchestrating Serena to be in an empty room and then instructing Young Master Grant to enter and commit an act against Serena.

Coupled with Young Master Grant’s statement, no matter how much Zoe cried or acted pitiful, she was unable to do anything.

Serena stated the facts, while Young Master Grant adamantly accused Zoe.

Claire Sullivan and Joel Quinn knew the situation looked grim, and they were growing desperate, calling everywhere and trying to find lawyers to review the case.

Serena and Finn finished recording their statements and emerged, it was already after ten, and the rain that had been pouring all day finally stopped, a cold wind blowing through as Finn took off his coat and draped it over Serena.

The reporters saw them coming out of the police station and rushed forward.

Finn glancing at the time, allowed the reporters five minutes to ask about Zoe’s case.

Serena did not overly criticize Zoe, responding to a few trivial questions.

At this moment, she did not need to make herself appear pitiful on camera to earn sympathy.

Firstly, she couldn’t imitate Zoe’s dramatic behavior, and secondly, the calmer she was, the more hypocritical Zoe’s sobbing appeared.

Once the five minutes were up, Finn led Serena away, and a group of people crossed the road to the parking lot as a sports car sped towards them, braking abruptly in front of them.

"Serena."

The car door opened, and Anna Morgan emerged with a look of anxiety, not noticing Finn behind Serena. Squatting, she grasped Serena’s hand, anxiously asking, "Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere!"

Outside the city, Anna saw the news and learned Serena had almost been violated by Young Master Grant, so she raced to the police station without even notifying Sean Lockwood.

"It’s all my fault, I shouldn’t have left the city." Even though the news didn’t detail the incident between Serena and Young Master Grant, just thinking about what he might have done to Serena made her heart wrench.

Her eyes reddened, she spoke uncomfortably, "If anything happened to you, Finn would skin me alive."

"If something happened to her, I’d skin you alive too."

A cold voice came, and Anna lifted her head to see Finn’s stern expression. Standing, she joyously threw herself at him, "Hey, didn’t you say you’d be back in a month?"

"Little Chandler, I missed you so much."

Finn frowned as he looked at Anna holding onto him, wanting to kick her away, but upon hearing her call him "Little Chandler," he smirked, "It’s late, let’s take Serena back to rest first."

Anna obediently nodded, taking the initiative to get the wheelchair, smiling mischievously at Serena who turned her head to look at her.

She knew that with Finn, she had to act cute or playful, otherwise, she really would be skinned.

Serena looked at their contrasting expressions, a cold and a warm one, and smiled as her heart finally settled completely now that they had come.
