Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure
Chapter 98: Thought He Cared About You
CHAPTER 98: CHAPTER 98: THOUGHT HE CARED ABOUT YOU
When they exited the elevator, a servant heard the doorbell and opened the door. Seeing Serena Sullivan in the wheelchair, she was momentarily taken aback.
When Miss Quinn took Serena away, she didn’t say when they’d be back, but the servant thought it would be at least the next morning, not so soon.
Moreover, Serena was followed by a man and a woman. Remembering the large sum she received from Miss Quinn, the servant guiltily whispered, "Madam, you’re back!"
"My room is on the left."
Serena didn’t respond to the servant, instead, she greeted Anna Morgan and Finn Chandler to come in.
Anna pushed Serena inside and was taken aback by the spaciousness of the flat.
Having heard that the "Willow Yarrow" was reputedly Solaria’s most expensive residence, an aerial villa, seeing it in person, the word "opulent" came to mind.
"Ethan Grant sure is wealthy," Anna said, "Serena, you’re secretly a rich woman."
Being with Ethan Grant, Serena was Mrs. Grant. Even if Ethan Grant were to leave her, she would receive a large alimony.
Serena smiled without saying anything, while Finn Chandler, following them, looked around thoughtfully.
The space was vast; both the living room and the corridors appeared deliberately designed.
When they reached the guest bedroom door, Anna opened the door first, but suddenly a noise came from behind. Serena and Finn turned around simultaneously to see the servant hurriedly stuffing something into a pocket, turning to head downstairs.
"That servant of yours..."
Finn said in a slow tone. From the moment they entered, the servant had shown a dismissive attitude toward Serena, and she had secretly taken out her phone to take photos of him and Serena.
"I know."
Serena picked up Finn’s words. Her fingers lightly tapped on the armrest of her wheelchair. "It needs to be taken care of."
Whether it was Zoe Quinn or Claire Sullivan, or even the servant just now, she planned to handle them.
Seeing Serena understood, Finn didn’t continue.
The true source of Serena’s agony was never Zoe Quinn or the servants, but Ethan Grant himself.
"Serena, Serena."
After exploring the guest bedroom, Anna came over to help Finn gently move Serena onto the bed. Lowering her voice, she cautiously asked, "Ethan Grant, isn’t he not sleeping...?"
She didn’t see Ethan Grant’s clothing in this room.
"His room is next door."
Serena said calmly.
"You’ve been married for a while now and have never slept together."
"Anna."
Finn interjected displeased.
"The wedding night, we were on the master bed, but he left me in the hallway." Serena spoke with a smile. Her tone seemed calm, but on closer inspection, there was an undertone of poignant sorrow.
"Hmph!" Anna got angry. In the conflict between Serena and Zoe Quinn, she wasn’t blind; she stood up for Serena.
The flat at Willow Yarrow was big, and many places were designed with accessibility in mind.
"Thought he might have you in his heart."
"Not sharing a bed is pretty good." Serena replied. When Ethan Grant held her, her whole body turned rigid, painfully unable to breathe. If they really shared a bed, she didn’t know how terrified she would be!
Finn looked at Serena and asked, "Do you want to take a bath?"
"I bathed before going out."
"Okay." Finn helped Serena tuck in the blanket, calmly advising, "Sleep early, there are lots of things to do tomorrow."
Zoe Quinn’s entry into the police station was just a beginning.
Anna Morgan looked at the neatly folded clothes by the bed and said, "Don’t disturb Serena’s rest, let’s head back."
Anna wanted to stay and keep Serena company, but seeing how tired she was, she decided to come back another time. "Serena, good night."
