CHAPTER 99: CHAPTER 98: NO ONE CAN BULLY MY SERENA

After they left, the bedroom was so quiet that only the "tick-tock" of the clock on the wall could be heard.

Serena Sullivan held her phone, staring blankly. After a while, she opened the phone. The last message with Ethan Grant was a "good night" sent two days ago.

He was far away in Country A, with no calls, no messages.

Serena curled her lips in a self-mocking smile. She didn’t know what she was expecting, nor when this intense love would stop.

She placed her phone on the bedside, unable to sleep, just lying there until around two or three in the morning when she finally fell asleep in a daze.

In the dream, she saw that young man who held her in his arms and said seriously, "No one can bully my Serena!"

The words "No one can" were like a spell pushing Serena to the depths of the abyss, back to Solaria.

"Serena!"

It was that familiar call again. Serena struggled to open her eyes from the dream, vaguely seeing Ethan Grant, a man familiar to her very bones.

He was gazing at her full of deep affection, his fair fingers gently touching her cheek, slowly tracing her features.

The tenderness and weariness in his eyes caused Serena a burst of pain. She desperately wanted to wake up, yet as she listened to his calls of "Serena, my Serena," her eyelids grew heavier until at last, when he lowered his head to kiss her lips, she completely succumbed to sleep.

This dream made Serena sleep until past ten o’clock. If it weren’t for the noise outside, she might have continued sleeping.

She sat up, first glancing at the phone on the bedside, which had several messages from Finn Chandler, Anna Morgan, and Claire Sullivan, but none from Ethan Grant.

She lifted the quilt, climbed into her wheelchair, and went to the bathroom for a quick wash before heading out, coincidentally bumping into Claire Sullivan.

Claire looked at her with anger and annoyance, "What time is it, and you’re just getting up?"

She hadn’t slept all night, getting up early to call Serena, hoping to take Serena with her to the police station to bring Zoe Quinn out.

But who knew, after making over a dozen calls, Serena didn’t answer a single one.

She had to go bring Zoe Quinn out herself, and then came here to settle accounts with Serena.

When they came, there was some concern, as this was Ethan Grant’s place. The servants downstairs said Mr. Grant hadn’t returned yet, but after waiting in the living room for over ten minutes, they couldn’t hold back any longer and decided to drag Serena out of bed.

"What’s the matter?"

Serena gave Claire a glare, then wheeled past directly to the living room.

Two other people were sitting on the couch there, with the servant who had issues with Serena smilingly entertaining Zoe Quinn.

"Who let them in!"

Serena raised her voice and asked.

The servant gave Serena a disdainful look and said with contempt, "Madam, these are your family members. It’s not right not to see them."

"Miss Quinn and Mrs. Quinn came over because they have something to discuss with you."

Ethan Grant had once said that without his and Serena’s permission, no one was allowed into "Willow Yarrow."

But since Mr. Grant wasn’t back yet, what could Serena, a worthless person, do to her? And besides, maybe it wouldn’t be long before Miss Quinn became the mistress of "Willow Yarrow."
