Chapter 109: Nanny Lynch in a Car Accident
CHAPTER 109: CHAPTER 109: NANNY LYNCH IN A CAR ACCIDENT
Help her?
Lena Lynch stood frozen in place. Was there someone else trying to harm Seraphina Redgrave?
But she quickly stopped wondering about who that might be.
This incident made her realize that the speculation about Ethan Sterling merely treating Seraphina Redgrave as a plaything was false.
Because Seraphina Redgrave drank poison, Ethan Sterling nearly turned Sovereign College upside down. If they dared to harm Seraphina Redgrave again, they might even lose their lives.
The other party seemed to guess her thoughts and spoke before her: "Mrs. Redgrave, you should reconsider. Since I’m saying this, I have the confidence to back it up. I can not only kill Seraphina Redgrave but also protect the Redgrave Family, and even get Jonathan Redgrave out of prison."
This was indeed tempting to her.
Lena Lynch almost immediately switched sides but kept her wits about her, "Give me a reason to believe you."
"Since I said it, I must have a backup plan if you’re willing to trust me," the other party spoke slowly.
"Why do you want to kill Seraphina Redgrave?"
Lena Lynch didn’t understand.
"I just think a woman like her doesn’t deserve to stand by his side."
The other side hung up the phone.
Lena Lynch was puzzled. What on earth did they mean? From the voice, it seemed to be a girl around Mia Redgrave’s age. Could it be for Ethan Sterling?
Three days later, Seraphina Redgrave was discharged from the hospital.
Nanny Lynch and Granny Coleman arrived at the hospital early in the morning. Nanny Lynch specifically cooked a bowl of soup for Seraphina Redgrave: "Miss, drinking this when you leave the hospital can ward off bad luck and symbolizes a reunion. Since you can’t eat sticky food yet, just have a little soup."
"What nonsense."
Granny Coleman, who was helping pack Seraphina Redgrave’s clothes, suddenly straightened up. They already knew that the young lady was taken in by the Redgrave Family because she was abandoned. Saying this would only upset her.
Nanny Lynch realized her error and stood there not knowing what to do, looking at Seraphina Redgrave.
Nanny Lynch and Granny Coleman, while taking care of her, would occasionally argue when they disagreed, which Seraphina found amusing.
This time Seraphina Redgrave took the initiative to help Nanny Lynch out: "Does drinking soup really ward off bad luck?"
Seeing that Seraphina wasn’t angry, the two nannies stopped staring each other down and jointly smiled at her in a friendly manner, "Yes, just a sip."
"Thank you."
Seraphina Redgrave took a sip from the bowl when her phone rang.
She glanced at her phone. It was a message from Ethan Sterling.
"Ethan Sterling: Wait for me in bed tonight."
Seraphina Redgrave was speechless, wondering why Ethan Sterling couldn’t have anything more decent in his mind. Wouldn’t that be better?
While silently criticizing Ethan Sterling, Seraphina received another message.
"Ethan Sterling: If you dare to cause trouble again, I’ll break your leg."
She really felt like revisiting her plan.
She had seen Ethan Sterling’s schedule for today; he had a banquet to attend that would keep him out until past midnight.
Once the two nannies and the bodyguards were asleep, she would seize the chance to take Nanny Lynch and Granny Coleman away quietly, so no one would notice.
"Miss, we can go now."
Granny Coleman spoke up.
Seraphina Redgrave stood up with her phone in hand, only to see the wheelchair in Nanny Lynch’s hands. She frowned, "Is that really necessary?"
She had only been poisoned and had her stomach pumped; her limbs were still intact.
"The doctor said Miss needs to rest well; Miss just recovered. How can you do something as physically demanding as walking?" Nanny Lynch replied, not finding anything wrong with what she said.
Seraphina looked at Nanny Lynch, unsure of what to say.
Granny Coleman picked up the luggage and spoke with a smile: "Miss, just go with it. Otherwise, she’ll blame herself for not taking good care of Miss the entire way home."
Sure enough, Nanny Lynch was the most long-winded.
Seraphina sighed, "Alright."
So she didn’t resist any longer and sat down in the wheelchair Nanny Lynch pushed over.
"Miss is the most obedient."
Nanny Lynch smiled happily as she pushed the wheelchair out of the hospital.
After leaving the hospital and walking some distance, Seraphina noticed two black-suited bodyguards at every corner.
When the three of them reached the intersection, Seraphina glanced back to see that the bodyguards who had previously been at the corners had all followed them, forming a sizable group behind them.
It seemed Ethan Sterling was already vigilant against her, summoning so many people to follow her.
"Miss, don’t worry, the car will be here soon."
The hospital parking lot was underground, and the exit was still a distance away, so the group waited there.
"Miss, I’ve asked the doctor for many medicinal recipes. When you return home, I’ll make them for you to restore your stomach to its former condition," Nanny Lynch said.
"Alright, thank you in advance, Nanny Lynch."
Seraphina spoke with a smile, looking towards the parking lot exit.
Suddenly, the sound of an engine revving came from not far away.
Seraphina turned her head to see a black Mercedes speeding towards them without any intention of slowing down, the man in the driver’s seat fixating on her...
The person was targeting her!
"Ah!!!"
The two nannies screamed in terror.
Seraphina quickly stood up, flipping over and pushing the wheelchair two meters away, dragging the stunned Nanny Lynch and Granny Coleman along.
The car, missing its target, crashed directly into a statue beside them, nearly completely deformed.
"Quick, catch him!"
The head bodyguard commanded, and the bodyguards skillfully pried open the car door, dragging out the man from the driver’s seat.
"Miss, be careful; the car is leaking oil now. Could it explode?"
Granny Coleman led Seraphina away from the dangerous vehicle.
"Couldn’t you see where you were driving? What a mess." Although still nervous, Nanny Lynch kept Seraphina tightly protected.
Seraphina frowned, puzzled. That car seemed determined to kill her, but why didn’t it continue chasing her when she jumped aside and instead crashed into the statue?
In almost an instant, she understood.
There were too many bodyguards around her; no matter how fast the car was, it couldn’t achieve a one-hit kill.
And now, the bodyguards’ attention was entirely focused on the previous car...
Seraphina immediately turned around and indeed saw another black Mercedes in the same position.
The Mercedes was moving so fast it seemed ready to take off.
And the driver of this car was Lena Lynch.
Her face was hidden by a black mask, but those eyes had already been etched in Seraphina’s mind. She could even clearly see the emotions in Lena Lynch’s eyes—a mixture of fear and boundless hatred.
"Run!"
Seraphina instantly made a decision, pushing the two nannies aside, and ran to the other side.
Lena Lynch immediately changed direction, persistently pursuing her.
The bodyguards, hearing that something was wrong, immediately turned around to see a car relentlessly chasing Seraphina.
"Miss!"
The two nannies, after steadying themselves, ran towards Seraphina.
Seraphina ran in a direction that was flat and barren; she had no options but to keep running forward.
Seraphina clearly felt herself growing physically exhausted, ready to change direction, when she heard Nanny Lynch’s voice.
"Miss, I’ll..."
