CHAPTER 117: CHAPTER 117: THE REDGRAVE FAMILY’S AFFAIRS ARE OVER

"Mom?"

Seraphina Redgrave couldn’t help but sneer, "I’ve never found these two words so disgusting."

Nanny Lynch was also surnamed Lynch. She never called her mom, yet Nanny Lynch exchanged her life to save hers.

But Lena Lynch, despite her calling her mom every day as a child, what did she get in return?

"Seraphina, Seraphina..."

Lena Lynch cried, ruining her makeup: "Don’t be like this, Mom was wrong, Mom apologizes to you. For the sake of all these years I’ve raised you, spare me this time."

Hearing this, Seraphina Redgrave laughed coldly, "Don’t worry. Considering how you’ve treated me before, I won’t let you go alone; I’ll send you first, then Mia Redgrave."

Upon hearing this, Mia Redgrave trembled with fear, and just as she was about to run, she was pinned down by two bodyguards who had been guarding her.

Lena Lynch only had this one daughter. Her heart ached terribly, and after hearing this, she couldn’t sit still anymore: "No! Seraphina, everything was planned by me alone. Mona did nothing wrong. Kill me if you want, just let Mona go! I beg you!"

"Tell me, what did Nanny Lynch do wrong?"

Seraphina Redgrave spoke, her gaze icy, raising the dagger in her hand without wanting to hear any explanation, aiming it at Lena Lynch.

Everyone was dumbfounded.

Seraphina Redgrave had no hesitation at all. Lena Lynch, looking at the dagger gleaming with cold light, knew she was bound to die today.

She gritted her teeth, started to cry and shout, "I will turn myself in."

The dagger hovered in the air.

Lena Lynch, already terrified with her clothes soaked through, looked at Seraphina Redgrave still standing there expressionless and cold. She knew that Seraphina Redgrave wasn’t completely ignoring her words, so she quickly spoke again, "Seraphina, if you kill me now, how could you escape the law’s punishment? I’ll go turn myself in now, with just one condition, let Mona go."

Seraphina Redgrave looked at her, slowly lowering the dagger in her hand, coldly glancing at her, "Fine, but you must perjure yourself in court and make it clear that you won’t repent."

At these words, Lena Lynch’s face instantly turned ugly, "You want my life?"

In Country Z, there is the death penalty. For someone like her who kills without repentance, the court naturally won’t give her any beneficial outcome.

"A life for a life, even children understand this principle," Seraphina Redgrave spoke, "By the way, if sentenced, you can’t appeal."

Seraphina Redgrave just wanted to see Lena Lynch go to die, and she wouldn’t allow any reprieve.

Lena Lynch shed tears again, crying out, "Seraphina, do you really have to be so harsh on your mother?"

"Once you’re down there, ask Nanny Lynch directly."

She had no interest in playing games with Lena Lynch, she just wanted Lena Lynch to pay with her life.

Seraphina Redgrave looked at Mia Redgrave, "Decide quickly, if you think you can do it, Mia will live, if you keep wasting time, you’ll both die."

"Seraphina..."

Lena Lynch wanted to play the emotional card again, but Seraphina Redgrave cut her off bluntly, "My patience is limited."

Lena Lynch, scared, lay prostrate on the floor in front of the coffin, awkwardly turning her head to look at Mia Redgrave. Mia was pinned to the ground, her face full of fear, looking at her with tearful eyes.

Lena Lynch and Mia Redgrave both knew that Seraphina Redgrave wasn’t someone who didn’t follow through on her words; when she went mad, she didn’t even care about her own life, let alone theirs.

Since coming back from the restricted area, she had become a different person.

In Mia Redgrave’s eyes, aside from fear and sadness, there was a little hidden hope.

But Lena Lynch saw it.

Mia Redgrave wanted to live.

Lena Lynch smiled bitterly, and tears flowed again, oh well, she was Mona’s mother, destined to die for her daughter.

"Everything you said, I agree to." Lena Lynch stopped struggling, looking at Seraphina Redgrave with a dead look, "But how can I know Mona will be alright?"

"Do you think with your current status you can bargain with me?" Seraphina Redgrave sneered, "I promised I’d let Mia live, and I won’t go back on my word."

Indeed.

The Redgrave Family has no leverage to bargain with Seraphina Redgrave now.

Lena Lynch lay on the ground looking at Seraphina Redgrave, her eyes full of desolation, "No matter what, I was once your mother. If even a single word you say today is false, I will drag you to hell with me as a vengeful spirit!"

A truly good mother to Mia Redgrave.

Seraphina Redgrave looked at Lena Lynch, smirked, though her eyes had no trace of warmth, and said, "Take her to the police station, and bring the coffin."

Hand over the evidence together.

"Yes, Miss."

The bodyguards moved swiftly, escorting Lena Lynch and carrying the coffin, it was just a short while before they were gone.

"Mom!"

Mia Redgrave lay where she was, watching Lena Lynch being led to the police station, crying so intensely she couldn’t catch her breath.

Lena Lynch, at the door, turned back to look at Mia Redgrave, her eyes full of distress, "Mona, live well, don’t fight against Seraphina Redgrave anymore, all I want is for you to live well."

"Move!"

The bodyguard pushed Lena Lynch harshly, speaking viciously.

Mia Redgrave cried her heart out, then turned toward Seraphina Redgrave, her words sharp, "Seraphina Redgrave, the Redgrave Family raised you this far, what you’re doing will come back to you!"

Seraphina Redgrave’s gaze was calm, she didn’t even spare her a glance.

Granny Coleman held Nanny Lynch’s portrait, crying sadly, "Nanny Lynch, Miss has avenged you, the culprit has been punished, you can rest easy now."

Mia Redgrave couldn’t say a word in response.

"Take Mia Redgrave away."

Seraphina Redgrave spoke coldly, preparing to leave the Lynch Family’s house.

Upon hearing this, a bodyguard grabbed Mia from the ground to take her away. Mia, frightened, screamed, "Seraphina Redgrave, are you insane! Leo! Help Leo! Are you really going to let Seraphina take me away? I’ll die at her hands!"

Leo Lynch stood to the side, watching all of Seraphina’s actions, already somewhat bewildered, but seeing Mia’s heart-wrenching state, he couldn’t bear it.

He stepped forward two paces, "Seraphina Redgrave..."

Seraphina Redgrave turned, raised the dagger in her hand again, "You dare to come forward?"

She meant what she said.

If he dared to stop her, he’d be buried too.

"Seraphina Redgrave..." Leo Lynch looked at her, "I don’t mean that, I just want to know where Mia’s being taken, didn’t you promise Lena Lynch you’d let her live?"

"Can’t bear it?" Seraphina Redgrave laughed coldly, "Then stop me."

She was no longer the gentle Seraphina Redgrave.

Leo Lynch looked at the dagger in Seraphina Redgrave’s hand, "I didn’t mean that, I just want to know where Mia’s being taken."

"Alright, I’ll let you know."

Seraphina Redgrave paused her steps out the door, tossed her dagger to pin it on the wooden door, swept her gaze around, then picked up a wooden carving that Mia originally intended to throw at her.

The wooden carving was near Old Mrs. Lynch. Seeing Seraphina Redgrave approach, the old lady was so frightened she collapsed into her chair.

This was a woman not to be messed with.

Seraphina Redgrave didn’t even look at her, just picked up the carving from the ground.
