Mr. Sterling, Mrs. Sterling is Multifaceted!
Chapter 121: She’s Not Leaving Anymore
CHAPTER 121: CHAPTER 121: SHE’S NOT LEAVING ANYMORE
Seraphina Redgrave looked up, seeing Granny Coleman with a sorrowful face, she spoke: "This is the reality, no amount of tears can bring back Nanny Lynch. We need to think about what to do next."
Alright then.
Granny Coleman stopped crying and started adding food to Seraphina Redgrave’s bowl: "Yes, miss, now that there’s only me serving you at Hibiscus Garden, it might not be enough. Should we tell Young Master Sterling to find someone else?"
"There’s no need." Seraphina opened her mouth, "Plenty of people are already watching us."
There were only a few people at Hibiscus Garden, but outside it was filled with Ethan Sterling’s people.
"Sigh, I really don’t know why Young Master Sterling needs so many people to watch over you, miss."
Granny Coleman showed a look of worry.
Ethan Sterling made it clear; he wanted to keep Seraphina with him, not giving her any chance to leave.
Granny Coleman kept adding food to Seraphina’s bowl.
Seraphina looked at Granny Coleman and sighed. Although she was the one hosting, Granny Coleman still couldn’t shake off her servile habits from Hibiscus Garden.
As she was eating, her phone rang.
Seraphina picked up the limited edition phone Ethan had given her and glanced at the screen. It was a message from Hector Shaw.
"Hector Shaw: Seraphina Redgrave, you’ve avenged yourself, the Redgrave Family can never rise again. Come to the south, I’ve already prepared a house for you."
Seraphina looked at the message and finally let out a small sigh.
The next instant, she didn’t hesitate and responded to him directly.
"Seraphina Redgrave: I want to stay"
She had made up her mind.
"Hector Shaw: ???"
"Hector Shaw: What are you thinking? Being Ethan’s woman isn’t easy."
"Hector Shaw: Don’t be silly, I’m waiting for you in the south."
Seraphina received three messages in a row and was already a bit annoyed, so she replied with just four words and then turned off her phone.
"Seraphina Redgrave: My mind is set"
Even yesterday, Seraphina contemplated leaving Ethan, leaving Sovereign, and going south to live a life without being controlled.
But now, she wanted to stay.
She wanted to grow rapidly in Sovereign, become so powerful that no one could stop her regardless of what she did, and no one could hinder her from saving whoever she wanted.
"Miss, are you okay?"
Granny Coleman watched as Seraphina suddenly turned off her phone and asked with concern.
"I’m fine." Seraphina replied expressionlessly, "Let’s eat quickly, after the meal, we’ll return to Hibiscus Garden, and I will go to school."
She needed to arrange for a dual-degree program, she wanted to study law.
From then on, she would never waste a single second of her life.
"Going to school is good." With Nanny Lynch gone, Granny Coleman didn’t know what to say, so she offered: "Going to school is good, if you are willing to study and improve, perhaps Young Master Sterling might take you to social gatherings later, and let everyone know you are his woman."
Seraphina almost choked.
To let everyone know she was Ethan Sterling’s kept plaything?
Only Granny Coleman thought her relationship with Ethan was a simple love affair. Seraphina lowered her eyes, a flicker of mockery flashing in them, but she didn’t speak again.
As long as she knew everything she did was for her own dreams.
Having eaten, Seraphina and Granny Coleman went their separate ways, left their private room, and exited the hotel.
Just outside the door, Granny Coleman tugged at Seraphina’s coat, and Seraphina looked up to see a woman about Granny Coleman’s size, wearing the same clothes as she was.
Granny Coleman looked at the woman, her eyes reddening again: "Before we joked about wearing the same clothes to test if you would mistake us, miss."
But now, with Nanny Lynch gone, only Granny Coleman remained by the young miss’s side.
Knowing Granny Coleman had a good relationship with Nanny Lynch, Seraphina quietly waited for her sorrowful moment to pass.
Granny Coleman sighed heavily for a while, then suddenly her phone rang. She took it out and glanced at the screen; it seemed to be a family call.
Seraphina nodded at Granny Coleman, indicating she was leaving.
She had to go to school, and Granny Coleman seemed to have some time to spend, so she didn’t wait.
Granny Coleman nodded while on the phone with Seraphina.
As Seraphina turned to leave, the middle-aged woman dressed like Granny Coleman followed right behind her.
Seraphina got into a car and began browsing today’s news, then instructed the driver: "Sovereign University."
The team assigned to follow split into two, one team following Seraphina’s car, the other tailing the woman behind Granny Coleman.
"Granny Coleman" and Seraphina’s car went in completely opposite directions.
The team following Granny Coleman trailed for an entire hour, growing increasingly suspicious, realizing the silhouette didn’t match the Granny Coleman they used to follow.
After hesitating, two of them hurried forward to take a closer look.
Upon seeing "Granny Coleman’s" face, the bodyguards turned pale instantly.
——
"Is she the Seraphina Redgrave who confronted Jonathan Redgrave and brought him down? Looks so innocent, who knew she was so daring."
"Indeed, but isn’t she from The College of Arts? What’s she doing at The Law School?"
"Heard she’s planning to minor in law."
"What? Her previous major had nothing to do with law?"
The students outside the office watched curiously, looking at the girl inside with disbelief on their faces.
The expressions of the teachers inside the office didn’t look any better.
A leader choked on his tea, coughed for a long time before looking up at Seraphina: "You say you want to study law?"
Seraphina stood in front of the desk, simply dressed in a white tee and jeans, with her hair tied in a ponytail, exuding a pure and clean aura, yet from the incongruous vitality of her appearance, it was obvious she was into the arts.
"Yes."
Seraphina didn’t flinch under the leader’s gaze.
"Sovereign University has never set such a precedent before, law is undoubtedly one of the most difficult fields. You should give up."
The leader put down the document in his hand, revealing a disdainful attitude toward art students.
First of all, Seraphina was an art student, and it was a known fact that art students generally did not perform as well academically in traditional subjects. Secondly, the incident with Jonathan Redgrave was led by her, encouraging all the students at Sovereign University in their mischief, forcing the school to suspend classes.
The Law School couldn’t tolerate a disobedient student like her.
Seraphina stood in place, understanding the implied meaning in the leader’s words, she responded coldly: "Whether I succeed or not is my own matter. I appreciate the concern, leader."
Hearing this, the leader’s face immediately darkened: "The teachers’ advice is for your own good. What do you mean by those words? Don’t think that just because you could bring down Jonathan Redgrave you’re amazing. You’re just a student. Have you even reflected on your behavior, pushing the school into the limelight, doing things unrelated to your studies?"
Seraphina looked at the small eyes hidden behind the teacher’s glasses, shining with a smug arrogance.
"As a student, your character itself is questionable, but dealing with students of questionable character is something I manage best."
The leader took a sip of tea, directing Seraphina: "Now go outside and stand as punishment, you need to understand the respect for your elders and betters."
