Mr. Sterling, Mrs. Sterling is Multifaceted!
Chapter 131: Repaying Her—Accompanying Her This Time
CHAPTER 131: CHAPTER 131: REPAYING HER—ACCOMPANYING HER THIS TIME
This is not a good solution at all; they don’t even know what the master gave Seraphina Redgrave—is it poison or a dagger? Without preparation, how can they save her in time?
"What happened before was my fault to her, this time I’ll make it up, consider it playing along with her."
Ethan Sterling put down the gun and spoke coldly to Nathan Ayers.
Ethan Sterling did this to make Seraphina Redgrave understand that no matter what she did, she couldn’t leave him, and as long as she didn’t leave, he could give her anything.
Who would play with someone’s life?
Nathan Ayers didn’t know what to say: "Young Master Sterling, this..."
"If I ask you to prepare, then do it quickly, don’t say these irrelevant things."
Ethan Sterling glanced impatiently at Nathan Ayers.
Seeing Ethan Sterling’s attitude, Nathan Ayers couldn’t persuade him anymore and had to nod in agreement: "Alright, I’ll go find the best doctor in Sovereign immediately."
After that, Nathan Ayers left the rooftop.
Ethan Sterling stood in place, quickly disassembling each component of the pistol, but when it came to reassembling it, he couldn’t put it back together.
"Bang!"
He threw the semi-assembled pistol onto the table, his amber eyes growing darker.
Will Seraphina Redgrave stay knowing his genes could become unstable at any moment?
She won’t. She will definitely leave without looking back.
Ethan Sterling curled his lips, his eyes filled with desolation.
He loathed the illness inside his body.
It was night.
The scent of roses filled Hibiscus Garden; the gate slowly opened as a Rolls-Royce Phantom stopped at the entrance.
The driver got out and opened the door for the man in the back seat.
Ethan Sterling sat in the car, motionless, his eyes fixed on the mansion’s door, one hand clenched into a fist, the other subconsciously stroking the black cat on his wrist.
The driver dared not say a word outside.
After a long time, Ethan Sterling loosened the tie tightly pressed against his neck, then got out of the car and walked into the Hibiscus Garden.
Once inside the villa, Granny Coleman immediately greeted him, bowing: "Young Master Sterling, dinner will be ready soon, please wait a moment."
"Where is Seraphina?"
Ethan Sterling asked in a low voice.
"Miss is studying in the study, she is so diligent, not willing to waste even a second away from her books."
Mentioning Seraphina Redgrave, Granny Coleman couldn’t help but chatter, even if the person in front of her was the unpredictable Ethan Sterling: "Young Master Sterling, you should talk to her, she’s studying so hard her eyes might get damaged."
Ethan Sterling gave Granny Coleman a cold look.
Granny Coleman realized she said too much and quickly replied: "I’ll go call Miss down right away."
Ethan Sterling didn’t look at her again, walked towards the dining room, sat at the dining table, and placed his cufflinks beside him as he looked at the tableware embossed with semi-transparent rosebuds.
Soft footsteps came down from upstairs into the dining room.
Out of the corner of his eye, he caught a glimpse of a white figure.
He turned his head, watching Seraphina Redgrave walk into the dining room in her nightgown, seemingly having just showered, her hair still wet, draping over her shoulders, making her look even more innocent.
Seraphina Redgrave looked up at Ethan Sterling, her expression unchanged from usual, still calm and indifferent.
Isn’t she afraid?
Ethan Sterling’s eyes darkened further.
Seraphina Redgrave went into the kitchen, brought out the last two dishes, and then sat across from Ethan Sterling.
"Do you like white?"
Ethan Sterling looked at Seraphina Redgrave, his voice low, without a trace of emotion.
"I suppose so."
Seraphina Redgrave replied expressionlessly, lowered her head, and picked up her chopsticks to eat.
Ethan Sterling sat in place, waved his hand, and let everyone else leave the dining room.
Granny Coleman saw Ethan Sterling’s gesture and quickly retreated, encountering Nathan Ayers in a suit in the living room, who did not look good at all.
"Special Assistant Ayers, what are you doing standing here?"
Granny Coleman was puzzled.
Nathan Ayers had a pale look on his face as he spoke to Granny Coleman: "Nothing, I’m just at a loss about what to do, so I’m standing here for a bit."
He hoped the person inside would come to their senses.
Nathan Ayers glanced at his phone, the signal at full strength, ready to call a doctor at the fastest speed if something happened.
The doctors should be ready for combat at any moment; no, he should go check, what if they’re resting?
Nathan Ayers was about to step out again, then stopped.
Inappropriate.
If Seraphina Redgrave really did something without him noticing and Young Master Sterling died because he didn’t act in time, what would happen?
Granny Coleman watched Special Assistant Ayers, who usually remained calm no matter what happened, anxiously pacing the living room, his face a mix of anxiety, confusion, determination, and perplexity.
The dining room now held only Seraphina Redgrave and Ethan Sterling.
Ethan Sterling didn’t touch his chopsticks, just watched Seraphina Redgrave quietly eat: "Still angry?"
"No."
Seraphina Redgrave answered emotionlessly, but instinctively reached for her calf.
She was nearly fractured by Ethan Sterling, asking her to face him happily now was impossible for her.
"So you’re going to keep treating me like this?"
Ethan Sterling was somewhat displeased.
Always picking faults upon seeing her.
Seraphina Redgrave put down her chopsticks, looked at Ethan Sterling, her voice cold: "What exactly does Young Master Sterling want from my attitude? Say it, if I can do it, I will, if not, there’s nothing I can do."
She was still angry, yet wouldn’t admit it.
Ethan Sterling looked deeply at Seraphina Redgrave, then pushed the cup towards her: "I want some water."
Granny Coleman hadn’t poured him water before being sent out.
He gave Seraphina Redgrave a golden opportunity.
Seraphina Redgrave did not refuse, stood up, took the cup into the kitchen, filled it with water, and came out, placing the cup in front of Ethan Sterling.
Ethan Sterling leaned back in his chair, looking at the cup, the water inside clear and transparent, seemingly problem-free.
After a long time, Ethan Sterling picked up the cup and gently shook it.
Seraphina Redgrave continued to eat, picked a piece of food, then looked at Ethan Sterling, thinking silently to herself that Ethan Sterling was starting again.
Holding the cup without drinking, who knows what he’s thinking.
Seraphina Redgrave thought silently, just about to continue eating when Ethan Sterling suddenly raised his eyes, catching her gaze still lingering, and spoke deliberately: "Seraphina, do you hate me?"
What exactly does Ethan Sterling want?
The dining room was so quiet that even a pin dropping could be heard clearly.
Ethan Sterling’s gaze was icy, staring at Seraphina Redgrave like a knife.
Seraphina Redgrave blinked her eyes, then spoke: "Not to that extent."
She wasn’t lying, Ethan Sterling saved her life twice, she couldn’t bring herself to hate him.
She just didn’t like being forced to stay by anyone’s side.
"It’s fine." Ethan Sterling looked into Seraphina Redgrave’s stark black and white eyes, picking up the cup again: "Hate me, even want to kill me, but don’t think about escaping me."
After saying this, he drank the water in the cup in one gulp.
No hesitation at all.
Seraphina Redgrave listened to these inexplicable words, frowned in confusion, and continued eating.
This meal was rather calm, until both finished eating, Ethan Sterling didn’t feel uncomfortable at all.
