Mr. Sterling, Mrs. Sterling is Multifaceted!
Chapter 134: She Also Doesn’t Want to Have Children with Ethan Sterling
CHAPTER 134: CHAPTER 134: SHE ALSO DOESN’T WANT TO HAVE CHILDREN WITH ETHAN STERLING
He doesn’t need to make his child go through the same suffering he experienced.
Seraphina Redgrave heard Ethan Sterling’s words and felt that his decision was indeed correct.
If the child born is unable to accept their genetic makeup like him, they will suffer a lifetime just like Ethan.
Besides, she didn’t want to have children with Ethan.
So taking the medicine beforehand was the right choice; it’s better for both of them.
"Isn’t there any way to remove such genes?"
Skipping the issue of children, Seraphina raised a new question.
"Sterling isn’t lacking in money nor in finding capable doctors," Ethan started.
The implication was that the genes couldn’t be removed.
"The Morgan Family has lasted this long, surely there must be someone who has never had an outbreak in their lifetime?" Seraphina asked again.
Ethan looked at Seraphina, his eyes darkening: "Yes, there is such an example in the Morgan Family. As long as there’s no outbreak, one can live as an ordinary person all their life."
"Then what are you still bothered about?" Seraphina looked at Ethan, "You’ve grown up so much, been through all types of triggers, and have climbed to the top of power. What don’t you have? Is anything capable of triggering you anymore? In that sense, you’re already an ordinary person."
There’s no need to be tangled in much ado about nothing.
Ethan sat on the steps, looking at Seraphina’s serious expression, unable to hold back a smile as he gazed into her clear eyes: "Are you trying to comfort me?"
How amusing.
His Little Rose is actually comforting him.
Seraphina lowered her eyes. Yes, why had she suddenly said those words?
Seraphina looked up at the pitch-black sky: "Let’s go back to sleep; I’m tired."
She still had classes tomorrow.
Seraphina stood up, just about to turn when she heard Ethan’s deep voice: "I’ll withdraw the surveillance inside and outside Hibiscus Garden."
Seraphina stopped in place, surprised, her eyes slightly widened.
She turned around and saw Ethan already standing up behind her, moving closer step by step.
Seraphina instinctively took two steps back, her back pressed against the door, leaving no room to retreat. Ethan stood in front of her, his eyes deep as if to engulf Seraphina: "If I have an outbreak, you can leave me. But not now, if you dare to leave, I’ll break your legs."
Since Ethan had said this...
Seraphina leaned against the door, looking up at Ethan: "Alright, if I want to leave, I’ll definitely tell you, I won’t leave secretly."
This was the only promise she could utter.
As for staying, she couldn’t do it.
Ethan lowered his head to meet her serious gaze, knowing she was being truthful, so he said: "Fine, as long as you don’t have my permission you can’t leave."
Such confidence.
Ethan lowered his head, getting closer to Seraphina, the mixed scent of tobacco and Seraphina’s blending: "Can Little Rose not be angry anymore?"
Is the matter of the bone breaker something that can be directly forgotten?
Who was angry?
He wouldn’t differentiate right from wrong and threatened to break her leg. She temporarily didn’t want to talk to him; does that mean she was angry?
Seraphina turned to go back, but Ethan reached out to stop her, deliberately lowering his head and getting very close, creating an ambiguous atmosphere, "I haven’t been this happy in a long time. Stay with me tonight."
"Wait..."
Before Seraphina could refuse, Ethan had picked her up, kissing her lips, suppressing all her resistance.
Ethan really had a field day.
Seraphina truly was utterly exhausted.
She didn’t expect "staying with her" meant spending the entire night; she didn’t close her eyes the whole time as Ethan kept tossing and turning.
At one point, Seraphina thought she might die.
The next morning at breakfast, Seraphina’s eyeshadow darkened, startling Granny Coleman. She sat in the dining room expressionless, one hand propping her chin, using the other to mechanically fork food into her mouth.
"Weren’t you quite strong when you were kidnapped before? Why can’t you do it now?"
Ethan sat opposite Seraphina, looking very satisfied, with joy in his eyes and brows.
Ethan still had the audacity to speak?
Seraphina helplessly looked at Ethan: "Kidnappers are not on your level."
She felt okay fighting with kidnappers; dealing with Ethan, every bone in her body was about to break.
"Are you praising me for being more formidable than kidnappers?"
Ethan looked up at Seraphina, humor in his eyes and brows.
Ugh.
Seraphina was too lazy to deal with Ethan, lowering her head to take a simple bite, her long lashes slightly downcast, her dark circles obvious.
"Take a day off today, have a good rest."
Ethan couldn’t understand why Seraphina was so obsessed with attending school; wouldn’t it be better to stay in Hibiscus Garden enjoying eating, drinking, and playing?
"Next week is the Law School’s midterm exam, I don’t want to fail." Seraphina opened her mouth to refuse.
"You wasted three years in the restricted area; what kind of results can you achieve in university exams? You might as well stay home and rest." Ethan looked at her, confused.
He didn’t look down on Seraphina; he just thought the Law School’s knowledge was lengthy and stinky, changing every year. She only attended a few days of classes; what good results could she achieve?
And go to the midterm exam? Scribbling randomly?
Hearing this, Seraphina couldn’t help but look at Ethan, expressionless, but Ethan saw the displeasure in her expression: "When I first came out of the restricted area, the Redgrave Family also thought I was just an abandoned foster daughter."
"So?"
Ethan stared at her, somewhat baffled.
"Afterwards, the Redgrave Family was destroyed by me."
Ethan was swallowing something, and at hearing this sentence, almost choked.
"I’m done, off to class."
Seraphina stood up, grabbed her backpack beside her, and left for school.
Ethan sat in place, gulping water madly to wash down the food stuck in his throat. After drinking half, Ethan suddenly laughed.
Life really was becoming more and more interesting.
"Nathan!"
Ethan suddenly called out.
Outside, hearing the voice, Nathan Ayers came in the door and stood beside Ethan: "Young Master Sterling, what’s the matter?"
"Go check when Sovereign College releases their exam results. If she doesn’t do well, alter her score to prevent her from shedding tears." Ethan instructed.
Not knowing where Seraphina’s confidence came from thinking she would do well, oh well, even if something went wrong, he would handle the aftermath for her.
"Alright, Young Master Sterling."
Inwardly, Nathan Ayers lamented; Young Master Sterling wasn’t sending the young lady to university, he was basically sending her to a nursery school.
No matter, the young lady hadn’t attended school for three years. He couldn’t avoid this task this time.
The curriculum of the Law School was rigorous, unlike The College of Arts, where they were always organizing competitions or en route to hosting one, constantly causing headaches for the students.
Arriving at the Law School building, Seraphina saw a large crowd in front of the black-and-white building, with Ronan Yates holding a banner at the door:
"Sylvia, Sylvia, great results!"
Seraphina speechlessly looked at Ronan. What’s all this nonsense?
