Chapter 47: Sorry, I Didn’t Mean It
CHAPTER 47: CHAPTER 47: SORRY, I DIDN’T MEAN IT
"What are you going to do!"
Mia Redgrave completely broke down, her whole body shaking uncontrollably as her gaze was fixed on Seraphina Redgrave.
"Miss Redgrave, why are you looking at me like that? Oh, are you angry because I ate the cake first? I’m really sorry, I’ll make it up to you."
Seraphina Redgrave directly smeared the cake on Mia Redgrave’s face, watching that carefully groomed face of two hours turn into a chaotic mess.
"Ah!"
Mia Redgrave couldn’t help but scream, trying to wipe off the cream from her face, only to make it messier.
"Miss Shaw, my daughter has already done as you asked, why must you do this..."
After all, she was his own daughter, Jonathan Redgrave couldn’t bear it and stepped forward to speak for Mia.
Mia Redgrave looked at Jonathan Redgrave, smiling innocently, "Sorry, I didn’t mean to."
This was clearly intentional!
Jonathan Redgrave’s expression was very unpleasant, with a thousand fires burning in his heart, he could only swallow them back, not willing to clash with the Southern Shaw Family for the sake of the Redgrave Family, forced to endure the humiliation from the girl in front.
Mia Redgrave had never suffered such grievances, especially at her own birthday party, tears streaming down her face, mixed with cream cake crumbs, and makeup that had become messy but not fully ruined, a pathetic sight.
Seraphina Redgrave laughed, leaned closer to Mia Redgrave, and yanked her hair, causing Mia to open her eyes out of pain.
"Look closely. This is the birthday gift I give to Miss Redgrave."
Mia Redgrave was forced to look at everything in front of her, the luxurious birthday party had been turned into a mess, all the beautiful decorations now considered trash, the food on the table thrown to the ground.
The cake as tall as her was also entirely tossed to the ground.
Utter chaos.
Her perfect birthday party vanished into thin air.
"Satisfied?"
Seraphina Redgrave’s clear black-and-white eyes stared at her.
Mia Redgrave was sobbing face full of tears, breathless as she spoke: "You lunatic."
"Between us now, who seems more like a lunatic?"
Seraphina Redgrave’s laughter deepened, pulling Mia’s face towards Serena Lowell and her group: "They were your little followers before, right? Tell me, after today’s events, will anyone still hold you up?"
Mia Redgrave looked around, seeing her once close sisters all shrinking back, afraid to be caught in the crossfire.
Mia sobbed, closing her eyes, wishing everything today was a nightmare.
"Miss Redgrave, you better watch carefully, or I might think you dislike this birthday gift I gave."
Seraphina Redgrave’s voice was always indifferent, and now was no exception, calm and cool, yet chillingly captivating.
Mia instinctively opened her eyes, as if not doing so would lead to something even worse happening the next moment.
But opening her eyes, she faced the kind of embarrassment she had never experienced in all her life.
"Bang!"
All the backup dresses in Mia’s dressing room were thrown out, the dresses ripped to tatters, stained with wine, soup, and cream, in utter disarray.
Jonathan Redgrave watched his daughter too terrified to even cry, feeling somewhat unbearable, he stepped forward with a smiling face: "Miss Shaw, today was indeed our fault, please extend your generosity and forgive us, we will come to apologize another day."
Mia, seeing her father finally speak for her, trembled and agreed: "Miss Shaw... after this, we will definitely... come to apologize, please forgive us..."
Mia couldn’t stay in this place any longer, she seemed to hear the sound of her dignity shattering.
"What, can’t handle it now?" Seraphina Redgrave laughed, "Oh, you do know this would be unbearable, don’t you?"
"This..."
Mia was speechless.
"Mia, everything today is your own doing, you could have carefree lived your princess dream, but you insisted on provoking me."
"I will never dare again..."
Mia trembled as she spoke.
"Did you really think you were entirely unscrupulous? Ha, I knew all along that Ronan had a thing for you, I made sure to have him fabricate evidence deliberately, and I deliberately appeared before you."
Mia instantly widened her eyes, realizing that everything was calculated by Seraphina from the very beginning!
"Who are you exactly?!"
Seraphina did not answer, just released Mia’s hair, smiling cleanly, her eyes filled with starry lights.
Mia looked completely devastated at Seraphina.
Who was this girl in front of her?
Sylvia Shaw? Seraphina Redgrave?
Mia knelt on the ground, almost deliriously reaching for Seraphina: "You are Seraphina Redgrave! Sylvia Shaw has no grievances with me and wouldn’t do these things today!"
"Seraphina Redgrave? Do any of you know her?"
Seraphina dodged Mia’s claws, confusedly looking at Mia, then glancing at the rich kids present.
Before Mia could respond, Jonathan had already kicked Mia.
Fool, talking about Seraphina’s existence in front of these rich kids, if the Redgrave Family secrets spread out, how could they still thrive!
Seraphina smiled watching the father-daughter duo biting each other.
Mia, unable to keep kneeling, fell to the ground, her face pale, not daring to look at the furious Jonathan.
Today, she truly committed a grave mistake.
From now on, she would no longer be Mia Redgrave adored by everyone.
Seraphina knew, Mia was already scared, no matter how provoked, she wouldn’t disclose anything further.
The birthday party was completely ruined.
Today would be the most memorable day of Mia’s life.
"Alright, let’s stop now." Seraphina stood up, facing Jonathan, "Councilman Redgrave, you can control your subordinates, but can’t you educate your own daughter?"
Jonathan dared not utter a single word under the sarcasm of a young girl.
Before leaving, Seraphina glanced at Mia, slumped on the ground: "Thank you Miss Redgrave for the hospitality, I wish each of your future days to be as joyous as today."
Mia’s face instantly turned pale, devoid of any color.
Seraphina, in a rather good mood, took one last look at Mia’s ghastly pale face, turned, and left as the rich kids automatically made way for her.
Seraphina walked out of the hotel without embarrassment under everyone’s gaze.
Everyone watched Seraphina walk out the door.
The green evening gown at this moment seemed even more majestic.
The celebration mechanism originally meant to be activated when cutting the cake was triggered at this time, floral bands falling beautifully as if meticulously designed.
Petals brushed over Seraphina’s alga-like hair, she seemed like a fairy from a painting.
And she didn’t pause for a second, disregarding those chaotic decorations, resolutely walking out the door.
For a full twenty minutes, nobody inside dared speak.
Jonathan’s face was unpleasant, but he still went over to support Mia, waking as if from a dream, clutching Jonathan’s sleeve: "Daddy, Seraphina she..."
"Don’t say more, she absolutely isn’t Seraphina."
Jonathan decided not to let Mia speak further, pulling her up directly.
"Daddy! If she really is Seraphina, do I have a way out?" Mia’s eyes reddened again, "If she’s alive, those unlucky things return to me!"
Seraphina was merely her scapegoat!
