CHAPTER 48: CHAPTER 48: ETHAN STERLING GETS JEALOUS

Upon hearing this, Jonathan Redgrave’s face also turned unpleasant. After a moment, he told the person beside him, "Follow Miss Shaw and report to me everything in detail."

Jonathan Redgrave also wanted to know whether this Miss Shaw was actually Seraphina Redgrave.

"Yes."

Jonathan Redgrave picked up Mia Redgrave and strode out of the venue.

On the top floor, Nathan Ayers, who had been secretly observing from a prime vantage point, put away his phone. Looking at the half-hour-long video in his album, he was momentarily at a loss for words.

The one from Hibiscus Garden was a bit different from what they had imagined.

A group of wealthy second-generation individuals, President Fuller from Kaelor, a councilman from Z Country, and Mia Redgrave, who was wildly popular online, all behaved docilely like rabbits in front of that person.

Why did this person end up in the restricted zone?

He looked at the video with a complicated expression, dazed for a few minutes before realizing that Young Master Sterling was waiting for him to report back on that person’s safety.

Top-floor VIP suite at Kaelor.

A man curled up on the floor, foaming at the mouth with blood, next to a pool of blood and two teeth that had been knocked out.

This was the main perpetrator they finally exposed.

The initially delicious dishes were tainted by the man’s blood and were no longer fit for consumption.

Those who usually held notable positions in Sovereign now stood in a line, furtively watching Ethan Sterling’s expression, not daring to breathe loudly.

Ethan Sterling was the Reaper that no one in Sovereign could afford to offend.

They stood there, witnessing everything. Ethan Sterling’s sole objective was to warn them, but they still wanted to live well and make money, so how could they dare provoke him?

Ethan Sterling sat in the main seat, expressionless, with his hands clasped supporting the table. His black eyes showed a relaxed ease, as if this scene of slaughter was a common occurrence for him.

A phone lay in front of him, playing a half-hour-long video.

It was everything that happened on the 21st floor after he left.

His eyes slowly showed a trace of interest, surprised that this rose casually picked from the restricted zone handled matters quite in his style.

Ethan Sterling stood up, picked up the phone from the table, and the video continued to play.

Nathan Ayers quickly followed, noticing Ethan Sterling’s good mood. He tentatively asked, "Does Young Master Sterling like Miss Redgrave’s way of handling things?"

"Like?"

Ethan Sterling locked the phone screen and tossed it to Nathan Ayers, giving a cold laugh. "What’s there to like about her convoluted methods?"

Nathan Ayers nodded and bowed as he put away the phone, mentally grumbling: It’s because she didn’t mention your name that you’re showing displeasure, isn’t it?

He, however, understood Seraphina Redgrave’s actions. She still believed that in Young Master Sterling’s eyes, she was just a clueless nutcase. If she had really mentioned Young Master Sterling’s name in that situation, who knows what those wealthy heirs would have asked her to prove, and then with just one phone call, her "madwoman" persona would completely crumble.

Ethan Sterling took long strides toward the elevator. "Delete everything about her on your phone."

Tsk, tsk, and he claims not to like it.

He wouldn’t even let him save the video.

"Send me a copy before you delete it."

Nathan Ayers didn’t even want to "tsk" anymore. Young Master Sterling was indeed the king of saying one thing and meaning another in Sovereign.

As Nathan mentally complained, he snapped to attention for a moment. "But Young Master Sterling, there is something odd. How did Miss Redgrave, who’s always been in the restricted zone, end up getting involved with Hector Shaw?"

How many more surprises does Seraphina Redgrave have that they don’t know about?

The madwoman from the restricted zone, an enemy of the Redgrave family, and a benefactor to the Shaw family’s head—how many more identities does she have?

"You have two days."

This was his cue for Nathan Ayers to investigate. Ethan Sterling also wanted to know just how much more about this rose he was unaware of.

Nathan Ayers found himself speechless, not expecting to have given himself more work.

The elevator at Kaelor was also uniquely decorated, keeping up with the overly opulent suites at Kaelor.

"Why’d you only tell me after everything happened?"

An irritated voice sounded.

Nathan Ayers couldn’t help but turn back and saw a man in all-black bespoke attire walking toward the elevator, accompanied by a sycophantic middle-aged man.

This young man was none other than Leo Lynch.

He was already in a dilemma over the project when there came an urgent knock at the door. Opening it, he found his driver, only to learn about the mishap at Mona’s birthday banquet. So, he left the project incomplete to see what had happened.

He and his driver stood behind Ethan Sterling.

"Second Young Master Lynch, I was waiting in the underground garage. It was only when I saw Miss Redgrave being led out by Councilman Redgrave and a group of people that I realized something had happened. By the time I reached the 21st floor, it was already a wreck."

"What about Mona?" Leo Lynch was somewhat anxious, a certain figure flashing through his mind. "And Seraphina Redgrave, where is she?"

With such a big incident, what had happened to Seraphina Redgrave?

"Ding."

The elevator doors opened.

Ethan Sterling didn’t turn around but exuded a low-pressure aura.

He entered the elevator, followed closely by Nathan Ayers.

The middle-aged man didn’t understand what his young master meant and asked confusedly, "Second Young Master, who is Seraphina Redgrave?"

"Oh, I forgot you don’t know her. I’ll go see for myself."

Leo Lynch was still worried about Seraphina Redgrave and was about to step into the elevator, only to feel an intensely oppressive aura.

When he looked up, he met a pair of eyes filled with murderous intent.

Technically, the elevator could hold a lot of people, but Ethan Sterling stood in the middle, leaving no room for anyone else to enter.

It was evidently impolite of Ethan Sterling, but no one present dared to say a word against those eyes.

Cold sweat broke out on Leo Lynch’s forehead.

Nathan Ayers sensed that the atmosphere was off, and quietly moved to the edge of the elevator, silently praying that the conflict wouldn’t involve him.

Leo Lynch was about to step in when a cool, disdainful voice stopped him: "Get down."

Those beautiful amber eyes showed a look of aristocratic pride and arrogance.

What was he going to do?

Leo Lynch suddenly felt uncomfortable, realizing he’d seen that face somewhere before.

The middle-aged man, seeing his young master in a tight spot, was the first to step forward and retort, "Are you picking a fight on purpose?"

Ethan Sterling said nothing but snorted coldly, looking at the two with disdain.

Nathan Ayers timely intervened: "Would anyone dare defy Young Master Sterling’s words?"

"Who do you think you are to be so arrogant in Sovereign?"

The middle-aged man gritted his teeth, in defiance.

"Arrogant?" Nathan Ayers raised his chin haughtily. "Before mixing in Sovereign, try to find out if Young Master Sterling has the right to be arrogant in this city."

In Sovereign, when Ethan Sterling says something, no one dares say otherwise.

"Is there no law anymore..."

"Sorry, President Sterling, you all go ahead."

Leo Lynch stopped his driver, who was almost fuming, and spoke respectfully.

He remembered who the man in front of him was.

"That’s what I call knowing the times."

Nathan Ayers chuckled, dropping the argument with the middle-aged man.

The elevator carried Ethan Sterling and Nathan Ayers down Morwood.

Leo Lynch stood in place, not daring to breathe heavily. He clearly saw that those eyes, filled with killing intent, remained fixed on him.

"Second Young Master, why’d you just let them leave like that? You’re the Lynch Family’s Second Young Master," the driver said discontentedly, looking at the elevator.
