Mr. Tycoon's Beloved Wife: The Madam No One Dares to Offend
Chapter 108: The Trump Card to Please My Wife
CHAPTER 108: THE TRUMP CARD TO PLEASE MY WIFE
Riya stamped her foot and leaned directly on Bruce because she could barely stand. "You..."
"Shut up. I’m not trying to take advantage of you. I can barely stand. If you don’t want people to see us in this position, help me walk into the lounge."
Seeing that Bruce was about to push her away, Riya spoke in a low voice.
Bruce frowned and moved sideways to put some distance between them. Riya stuck even closer to him.
"You want me to make a fool of myself? No way. If I fall to the ground and lose my face, I will cry. Anyway, there are many people here, and someone will be talkative. If someone tells your wife about it with highly colored details..."
"Which lounge?"
Bruce was sick of arguing with her. Frowning, he could only let her pull his sleeve and hang on him.
Riya smiled proudly. She thought to herself, "If only you had been a gentleman and taken me to the lounge." She replied to Bruce, "The second floor, the first room on the left. I can’t walk."
Wearing small shoes was the most ruthless punishment in the world. Why did she just pick those small shoes only for her skirt? Now she had to suffer for it.
The most hateful thing was that this man gave the shoes that she had ordered a month earlier to his wife. Why did his wife happen to have the same feet size as hers?
Nine out of ten things would go wrong in life. Riya could only grab Bruce and walk forward.
If it weren’t for the fact that she had acquaintances at this party today, she would just walk away barefoot.
"No. Hold on to me a little. It hurts!"
Riya pulled Bruce’s arm and grumbled. Bruce was inconsiderate to her as he just strode to the lounge.
She frowned and said irritably, "No matter what, I’ve already put in a lot of effort for you. I have already gotten the offer from the Key Group at the new airport. This is how you repay your benefactor."
"Am I not helping you now?"
Women were troublesome. There were very few women around Bruce, and Riya was one of them. Their families had been friends for generations, and they had been in love before. Although they broke up peacefully in the end, they still saw each other
as friends. If it weren’t for her, he would just leave.
"Are you helping me? You are dragging me. Am I a dead dog to you?"
Riya had a disgusted look on her face and wanted to bite Bruce.
Her generous and elegant image as a socialite was almost gone because of Bruce.
The man frowned. It was obvious that he was in a bad mood after being scolded by Riya. However, he did not flare up. He wrapped his arm around the woman’s slender waist and lifted her. Then, he strode directly to the elevator.
He thought that she was a troublesome woman and wanted to throw her out through the window.
"Waist, my waist. Bruce, can you be gentle? Are you even a man? Mind your image."
Riya was like a sack that was half-clamped under Bruce’s arm. Her feet were suspended in the air as she was lifted in the elevator.
Fortunately, there was no one around. Otherwise, her reputation as a socialite in River City would no longer exist.
Not far away, a few figures stood in a daze. Margaret watched in surprise as the man and the woman entered the elevator. She widened her eyes in surprise and said, "This, this can’t be my elder brother!"
Lily frowned and said in a low voice, "I think he is."
"He, he ... Why is he with that woman again?"
Margaret gritted her teeth, irritated, and looked at Hill nervously, "Hilla, don’t worry. I am on your side."
That two-timer Bruce had really let her down.
The last thing she could bear was an affair. When she got home, she would ask her grandfather to transfer all the shares of the Anderson Group to her and leave nothing to Bruce.
"Hilla, are you alright?"
"Hilla, you are my only sister-in- law. The women outside are all homewreckers. My brother may have lost his mind. Don’t lower yourself to his level. Why don’t we get some rest and get dressed first?"
Margaret nervously twisted the corner of Hilla’s clothes. In Margaret’s mind, she had already scolded her brother who didn’t live up to her expectations again and again.
It was a pity that they were blood bonded. She never messed around, let alone be irresponsible.
Hilla calmed down and watched Bruce and Riya disappear from her sight. She couldn’t help but blink, only to find that her eyes were dry and sore.
Her lips, which were unconsciously pursed into a straight line, twitched a little
bitterly. Then she said in a hoarse voice, "No, I’m tired. Let’s go home."
"Hilla wanted to go home ... but we had only just got here, Hilla hadn’t even greeted them ... and she was even wearing a racing suit."
Margaret quietly thought about these words. Looking at Hilla who didn’t even turn back, Margaret’s heart sank a bit.
Lily was worried, "What should we do? Should we tell Mr. Anderson?"
Margaret looked back anxiously, and then looked at Hilla, who had already reached the entrance of the hotel. She stomped her foot and said, "No matter what he had done, he should live with those consequences. Let him suffer. Let’s go."
After saying that, Margaret pulled Lily to chase after Hilla.
She could already feel that there would soon be a divorced bachelor in her family.
In the lounge, Riya was thrown onto the sofa. Finally, she heaved a sigh of relief. She touched her aching waist and rolled her eyes.
"Are you so rude to your wife, too? Bruce, you’re already in your thirties. Do you know how to be tender to women? Be careful, or that young girl will run away from you."
Bruce sat down on the sofa opposite her and whispered, "Let’s get down to business."
Riya, on the other hand, looked interested as she gossiped, "Bruce, do you like young girls more? Do you men all prefer young girls who are younger than you by more than ten years? Aren’t you afraid they will think that you are old and dump you in the end? I think that the kid from the Richards family racing with her is good. You should have looked at your wife’s eyes. They were shining when she was looking at him.
"They are from the same school and seem to be close. It shouldn’t be too difficult for those twenty-year-old youngsters to win her heart."
Riya looked at Bruce’s face, which was getting darker and darker. She suddenly felt the pleasure of revenge. She was comforted. It turned out that Bruce would also get jealous.
Sure enough, a man would be obedient when he got a wife.
Thinking of this, she was a little envious of Hilla. How about she found a man that would be obedient to her, too?
"Where are you going?"
When Riya raised her head, she saw Bruce standing up from the sofa and walking out without looking back. She asked in surprise at once, "Aren’t we going to get down to business?"
He was begging her to come back for the information about the new airport.
Bruce stopped at the door and turned to look at Riya coldly. He said calmly, "Do you
have any business to get down to?"
Riya kept reminding him of his age all day long. Didn’t he know that it felt awful that he was ten years older than Hilla?
...
"Hilla, if you are angry, you can punish my brother to your heart’s content when he comes back. Don’t get upset and don’t feel embarrassed. We will all support you."
Margaret looked at Hilla, who had been silent the whole time. She was nervous sitting next to Hilla.
She had the illusion that she was immediately abandoned and became an orphan.
No matter how hard she tried to show her support, Hilla was still quiet and didn’t give her any response. The more Margaret thought about it, the more anxious she became, "Let him kneel on keyboards, durians, instant noodles, or even glass dregs. Do not get angry with this kind of man who only thinks with his private parts.
"No, that’s not right. Bruce didn’t have any sexual relationship with Riya. Maybe we should get the details first.
"How about I call my brother and ask him to come back and explain to you personally?"
Margaret carefully observed Hilla’s expression while taking out her phone.
Hilla still didn’t respond to her. Lily secretly pulled her arm and said silently, "Ask Mr. Anderson to come back!"
Margaret gritted her teeth and thought that a man should be the one to shoulder the trouble he made.
Therefore, she could not wait to call Bruce and tell him that they had returned to the Anderson’s. Bruce replied with a faint ’OK’ and hung up the phone.
Margaret secretly breathed a sigh of relief. When she saw the destination close to her, she quickly said, "My mom went to Granny’s house today. I’m afraid she won’t come back tonight. I’ll send Lily home. Hilla, you can stay at home alone for a while, right?"
Without saying anything, Hilla opened the door and got off.
Margaret pulled Lily and said nervously, "Will she not think it through and do something terrible to herself?"
"How is that possible? Hilla is strong. The Holts went bankrupt and her parents passed away, but those did not knock her down. This matter about Mr. Anderson might just make her angry. At most, they will get a divorce..."
"No, they can’t divorce. We the Anderson family never have a divorced man. If they divorce, my brother will be a second-hand man and a second-hand man can hardly get married again."
Margaret quickly objected. Lily’s lips twitched, "A man like Mr. Anderson should not be that difficult for a second marriage."
"That won’t do. We the Anderson family can’t get a divorce. If Bruce wants to get a divorce for that little slut... If he dares to get a divorce, I will snatch his property."
Lily felt anxious, "You should go back and accompany Hilla. The driver can send me home. I’ll be fine."
Margaret shook her head, "No, Bruce will be back soon. There are only the two of them tonight. I want to leave them enough room. I will call my mother now and ask her to stay at my grandmother’s place for a few days. I’m going to stay at your place for a few days, OK?"
"You want to stay at my home?"
Lily was stunned because no one rich and nicely-raised had ever lived in her little house.
Under the cover of night, the Anderson’s villa was brightly lit.
A black business car stopped in the Anderson’s courtyard. Bruce first went to the main courtyard to see his old man, and then turned to the east courtyard where he lived.
A ringtone sounded!
A Line message came, and the content made him instantly stop and frown.
"Hilla saw you carry Riya into the lounge. Since you’re my brother, good luck!"
Under the cool night, Bruce stood by the pond and did not move for a long time.
The gate of the East Courtyard was close at hand, but he was not in a hurry to enter. Instead, he opened another chat box on Line. He pursed his lips and seriously typed, "How to please my wife when she’s angry?"
The person on the other side paused for less than three seconds and immediately sent a meme of a laughing cat.
Bruce frowned and replied, "Screw you!"
From the other side quickly came a message, "What did you do to make Hilla angry? Are you kicked out of the house now?"
Horton’s voice carried a bit of a forbearing smile. Bruce did not care at all and simply said, "I’m not home yet."
Bruce had made Hilla angry when he was outside and did not dare to enter the house.
"Standing downstairs your house?"
"Yes!"
What a pitiful man.
"Didn’t you attend Mrs. Richards’ party today? What have you done?"
"Riya was there, but it seems that Hilla has misunderstood me."
Bruce’s explanation was concise and comprehensive. Horton was already laughing so hard that he wanted to hit the bed. His glasses could barely stay hanging on his
face, but he had to hold back his voice and said calmly, "You should dare to stand with Riya with your wife around. I admire your courage to be unafraid of death."
Bruce frowned and lost his patience, "What should I do?"
There was a moment of silence, but Horton quickly replied, "Women like to buy things. I see that others take their wife to buy things until she is happy."
"That simple?"
"Is this simple? You know that many men can’t afford those luxury goods bought by women."
Bruce was rich and he could afford them.
After turning off his phone, Bruce finally mustered up his courage and swaggered towards the entrance of the East Courtyard.
Hilla came out of the bathroom after taking a shower and she saw Bruce standing neatly in the room, not even taking off his suit. When she looked at him, his handsome face was tight.
Was there something that he wanted to say to her?
Hilla adjusted her clothes on her chest and wiped her hair with a towel. She liked to dry it naturally, so she would not dry it with a dryer.
After confirming that there was nothing wrong with her, she sat on the bed and looked at Bruce, "Aren’t you going to take a shower and sleep?"
She was a little surprised because he had returned so early.
However, there were too many people at the party and it was too tiring to deal with those people. What’s more, she had a car race today, so she was indeed a little sleepy.
Bruce pursed his lips, took a step forward, and said in a low voice, "Let’s go to the mall."
"What?"
Why did he want to go to the mall on such a late night?
Hilla looked at Bruce in a daze. Did he lose his mind or something?
Bruce’s face tensed up, and he said seriously, "You can buy everything you want."
Then, he seemed to have thought of something and added, "I have the money."
Hilla was stunned for a moment. He must be out of his mind and became an idiot!
Hilla unconsciously grasped the towel in her hand and looked at Bruce blankly, "I, I know you have money, but it’s so late now. Do you think there’s something we don’t have in the house?"
But you don’t have to go to the mall in the middle of the night, right? Also, if you need anything, why would you, a great CEO, go and buy it personally?
"It’s not that late."
Bruce glanced at the thick night sky outside the window and turned to Hilla, "You will be in a good mood when you buy everything you like."
If she was in a good mood, she wouldn’t be angry at him, right?
Bruce thought in his heart. Hilla tilted her head and looked at him, saying strangely, "I’m in a good mood right now!"
Bruce was shocked. Being in a good mood meant that she was not angry with him. Seeing that he was with another woman, but Hilla wasn’t mad meant that Hilla did not care about him.
Bruce, who had just been feeling nervous, seemed to be in a bad mood!
Bruce thought himself, "He just wanted to make his wife happy, but in the end, he made himself angry! How miserable he was!"
