Mr. Tycoon's Beloved Wife: The Madam No One Dares to Offend
Chapter 125: Taking Revenge for My Wife
CHAPTER 125: TAKING REVENGE FOR MY WIFE
Time passed quickly, and the design competition came soon. This competition was held by the city. However, Hilla didn’t pay attention to the participants. All students from all the universities in River City, whether or not they majored in design, could take part in the competition.
River University was the organizer, so most of the participants in the competition were from this University.
Hilla’s appearance was at the back of the line. Unfortunately, the one before her was Cercei.
It was said that one couldn’t avoid one’s enemy. Hilla felt that she and Cercei were not exactly enemies, but she still met her again, unfortunately.
Hilla met Cercei when she participated in an outdoor activity last time, and now she met her again.
She couldn’t forget that Cercei was used to competing with her from childhood, so she applied for the same major as Hilla at that time. Fortunately, Cercei was a poor performer at school, and River University did not accept her.
Otherwise, if they were in the same school and studied in the same major, they might have to meet every day, and Hilla would go crazy.
When Cercei saw her, she was clearly very surprised. She pursed her lips as if she wanted to say something, but in the end, she seemed to have thought of something. She frowned and leaned closer. "What is the relationship between you and Mr. Anderson?" Cercei asked.
It turned out that she cared about this problem!
Hilla smiled and said proudly, "It’s that kind of relationship you think."
"Are you really Mr. Anderson’s wife? That’s impossible. The Andersons will not accept you! Don’t lie to me, Hilla. The Holt family has already gone bankrupt. You must be living a very bad life now."
After Cercei finished speaking, she saw the dress on Hilla. Wearing the white dress, Hilla was like a beautiful white swan. The material of this dress looked ordinary, but it showed a slight light as she walked and moved.
Cercei wondered, "It doesn’t look like a chemically synthesized cloth, nor does it seem to be specially processed. It should be a natural cloth."
Even if she didn’t do any serious studying, she knew more or less about this professional knowledge.
Although she didn’t know what cloth or gauze the dress was made from, she knew that it was valuable.
Hilla was different from the one Cercei imagined.
The Holt family went bankrupt, and Hilla should have nowhere to go. She should
have been a lowly ordinary citizen, worked part-time with skimpy pay, and could no longer afford those expensive luxuries.
That was what should have happened to Hilla, not like what it was now.
Hilla dressed even more gorgeously. She was bright and her eyes were still so clear and pure. She must attract a lot of men.
She did not change at all. Instead, it seemed that she became better.
Cercei frowned. She couldn’t believe it.
"The Anderson family has a high family status! Even if Mr. Anderson wants to marry a woman, he will not marry you. What else do you have other than your seductive face?"
Cercei couldn’t believe it and she muttered, which made Hilla frown.
Hilla hated people saying that she was not worthy of Bruce. Did two people have to get married while they had similar family backgrounds? Was her not a good girl?
Hilla sneered, "You are right. My seductive face is enough. After all, not all women have it."
"You..."
Cercei didn’t expect that Hilla laughed at her. Since Cercei was a child, people around her had always praised the beauty of Halle and Hilla, especially Hilla.
"She is beautiful, lively, cute, kind, and caring." The boy who Cercei ever liked the first time gave such an evaluation of Hilla.
Cercei couldn’t forget how humiliated she was.
Now, although she was engaged to the Palmore family and Patrick treated her well in front of others, actually he was dissolute. He had lots of female friends. Every time Patrick looked at Hilla, Cercei would be annoyed and resent him.
Because of Hilla, Cercei had been ignored all the time. She had never been redeemed for a moment. No matter where she went, people only focused on Hilla.
Cercei’s eyes were cold and filled with anger as she gritted her teeth. When she saw the person walking towards her, she stretched out her foot.
Someone fell.
The student who was in a hurry to deliver the paint was directly stopped and pounced on Hilla.
Hilla dodged subconsciously. Although she was nimble, the outer layer of this long dress was still stained with paint.
Cercei said, "Oh, what should you do? It’s your turn soon. It seems that you are not able to come on the stage."
There was a rule in the competition: the ready-made clothes for the fashion show
must be the same as the design for the competition. This was a rigid and inflexible rule. Even if Hilla changed her dress into a more beautiful one, she would still be eliminated for violating the rule.
In short, she could not go on stage now.
Cercei’s eyes were full of pride. After so many years, she finally had a chance to vent her anger. When the Holt family went bankrupt, she should have treated Hilla more ruthlessly without giving her any chance to become better.
Even if Hilla was Mrs. Anderson now, she might not be able to be in this position for a long time.
"I hear that Bruce has been bedridden for a long time. He might have a terrible temper. Hilla must soften him up all the time." Cercei wondered.
Women without money and family background would not live happy life in a wealthy family. Cercei was not afraid of her at all.
Hilla looked at the colorful paint on the dress and narrowed her eyes slightly.
The student who fell next to her was scared silly. He got up from the ground and said anxiously, "I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I really didn’t do it on purpose. I’m really sorry."
The man didn’t think he had seen Hilla before, so he thought that Hilla was not from his school. If there was such a beautiful girl in the school, he must have known.
However, he had dirtied her dress, and the paint was made of a special material that was not easy to clean.
Even if he went to clean her dress now, there was no time.
Hilla didn’t look at the person who kept apologizing to her. Instead, she looked up at Cercei and said coldly, "You tripped him up."
Cercei pretended to recover from the shock and smiled at the bespectacled man who panicked. She said, "Sorry, sir. I didn’t see you just now. There are too many people here. It’s too crowded. I’m a little careless."
The man froze and shrank back, and then said, "It’s OK, but..."
He was fine, but he had dirtied Hilla’s dress. He also participated in the competition and knew how much effort it would take to design clothes. Moreover, this dress was very outstanding.
"I’ve apologized!"
Cercei smiled proudly. For her, defeating Hilla was like gaining a trophy.
Hilla smiled coldly. Under her smile, the mole in her eye seemed to be a little glaring. She pointed at the male model beside her and said, "This is your work?"
"What are you going to do?"
Cercei suddenly had a horrible feeling, and she froze. She saw Hilla pick up the two ink bottles on the ground and throw them directly at the male model.
She wanted to stop it, but it was too late. The male model did not expect that he would be innocently hit by two ink bottles and was directly dumbfounded.
He saw the ink bottles roll down from his chest, and the ink spilled on his white shirt and coat.
"Hilla..."
"You don’t have to thank me. I’m a very nice person. What I’ve done makes it easier for us to get along with each other in the future!"
Hilla turned her head and showed a charming smile to Cercei who was in extreme anger.
"It is already my mercy not to kill you!" Hilla thought.
...
In the dormitory.
Lily and Margaret watched the live broadcast of the competition. They said anxiously, "Does Hilla come out?"
"It seems that the line-up is wrong."
"How could it be wrong? Have you checked the information? How many people have left? Take a look quickly."
"People in front come on the stage in order, but it seems that there are two people missing."
"Where is Hilla?"
"Hilla and the one in front of her haven’t come out yet. This one should be behind Hilla. Is there a problem with the name list?"
Lily flipped the two pieces of paper in her hands and was despised by Margaret. "You are really stupid. If Hilla doesn’t come out, how can I record the video right away?" Margaret said.
Margaret wanted to take it to please her elder brother!
She hoped that Bruce could be merciful and let her graduate this year because of her taking good care of his wife. Otherwise, she would go crazy for one more year’s studying.
"I’m not stupid. Moreover, this is the list I specially asked Linus for. It can’t be wrong. Why hasn’t Hilla come out?"
Even though the last one had come out, Hilla still hadn’t shown up.
Margaret was a little anxious. If she didn’t take the first moment of Hilla’s peerless beauty, Bruce would kill her.
What if her living expenses were deducted?
Margaret thought about it and quickly took out her phone. She said, "It’s better to call Hilla and ask her what happened."
Hilla opened the door suddenly.
The door opened, and Margaret and Lily saw a figure in a daze. They were stunned for a long time and then recovered from the surprise.
"Hilla, Hilla, why are you ..."
Margaret saw Hilla’s dress when she was about to speak something, and she exclaimed, "Your dress ... who did this?"
Hilla recovered and said in a low voice to Margaret, "It doesn’t matter. I have dirtied hers too."
Margaret wondered, So you two can’t continue with the competition.
No wonder just now Lily said that the one in front of Hilla didn’t appear. Do they bear grudges against each other?
"Hilla, are you okay? It’s okay if you can’t participate in this design competition. You can participate in the next season."
However, the next season would be the graduation works, and there would not be such a big show.
Hilla grabbed the dress, turned around, and took clothes from the bed. She chuckled and said, "I’m fine. You don’t have to comfort me."
But her smile was so terrifying, and it didn’t seem that she was okay! It threw Margaret and Lily into a thrill.
They saw Hilla hold her clothes and enter the bathroom with a stiff expression like a puppet.
When the door closed, the two of them felt nervous. They looked at each other carefully and said silently, "So scary."
"She must be very sad."
"That bastard is toast for sure."
Margaret made a gesture as if she would kill that one, her eyes filled with anger.
How dared she bully the Andersons! Did she think there was no one in their family?
Lily silently made a gesture which means "come on" and said quietly, "I support you."
Lily had stayed with Hilla for so long, but she didn’t know what Hilla was like when the Holt family went bankrupt and how she stuck to it. However, Hilla looked really sad now with a bitter smile.
In the bathroom.
Hilla looked at the clothes in the basin, and the paint seemed to have permeated this dress. No matter how hard she tried, there was no way to wash it off.
She used all kinds of stain removers. This paint was very special. It could quickly dry and take shape on the clothes. Some designers drew decorative patterns on the clothes with the paint to increase the brightness of the color of the clothes.
This was very unique, although it seemed that the designers played tricks.
But today, the paint fell on her dress without forming any pattern. It was so ugly.
Hilla had said that she wanted to wear this dress and go to the airport to pick up Bruce. She wanted to walk the catwalk again for him, but now this wish couldn’t even come true.
Hilla bit her lips and looked at the dirty dress. Her eyes were getting wet with tears.
When her vision was blurred, she couldn’t help but raise her head and look at the ceiling.
She had said that she would not cry. As long as she raised her head, her tears would flow back.
She took a deep breath and waited for her tears to flow back. She lowered her head again and carefully washed her dress.
"Hilla has been in there for almost an hour and hasn’t come out yet. Will something happen to her?"
Lily looked worriedly at the bathroom door and turned to look at Margaret, who was working hard to "investigate the truth".
The one who bullied the Andersons would pay a heavy price.
After finding the truth, Margaret quickly told Bruce about this matter and the person who bullied Hilla. She also sniveled and said to her elder brother, "Hilla is crying so sadly. Don’t you know that she is going to attempt suicide?"
Margaret’s information was full of exaggeration, but Hilla’s sadness was true.
"You don’t know this dress was specially designed by her. She originally intended to wear it to pick you up at the airport on that day. She said that you couldn’t see her show, so she wanted to walk the catwalk one more time for you alone."
"Bruce, someone bullied your wife. You can’t be terrified."
"Even if you are not afraid that the Andersons are in disgrace, you still should love dearly your wife."
"Hilla is so pitiful. She shut herself in the bathroom and has cried for an hour. The sound of her crying is so loud that I feel sad as well. Her eyes must be swollen now. She is so sad and desperate."
Bruce had just been having a remote video conference with top executives of the Anderson Group. He arranged the task of the foreign negotiation.
The phone kept flashing in front of his eyes. When Bruce saw Margaret’s message, he frowned slightly and gently turned on the phone. When he saw the message, he looked sullen immediately.
The top executives in the video were already trembling in fear. When they saw Mr. Anderson’s sullen look, they immediately felt nervous and wondered if they had done something wrong. They hurriedly lowered their heads in fear.
They all wondered, "Mr. Anderson can’t see me. Mr. Anderson can’t see me. Mr. Anderson can’t see me."
Just as everyone was praying in unison, it seemed that their wishes were heard. Mr. Anderson coldly said, "Meeting adjourned!"
The screen went black, and they were liberated.
Bruce sat on the sofa and tapped on his phone. Seeing that Mr. Anderson suddenly
became serious, James consciously stood aside in silence.
Bruce first found Hilla’s chat box and entered the chat window, but he felt that something was wrong.
If he were to comfort her now, Hilla would probably feel even worse. She never cried in front of others.
He then sent a message to Margaret. "Take good care of her. Wait for me to go back!"
After sending the message, he thought that he wouldn’t go back in a few days. He was afraid that Hilla would have to endure this grievance before he came back.
He frowned and thought he should do something.
In Bruce’s mind, he thought of many methods to comfort Hilla, but he denied them one by one. In the end, he remembered that he had read several romantic novels which showed how the husband, also a CEO, do after the heroine was bullied.
Well, he decided to acquire the Cornel Group and the Palmore Group to vent Hilla’s anger!
