Mr. Tycoon's Beloved Wife: The Madam No One Dares to Offend
Chapter 234: What a Capricious Woman She Is!
CHAPTER 234: WHAT A CAPRICIOUS WOMAN SHE IS!
Hilla was surprised when she saw Julie but had no intention to chat with her.
Hilla didn’t expect that Queeney had invited Julie only for messing with her. It seemed that there was nothing more Queeney could do to her.
After she refused to accept her threats, Queeney could only get some small potatoes to bother her.
"I’m sorry. My husband is looking for me. Excuse me!"
Hilla did not need to care about anyone or chat with them since Bruce was with her.
She could leave whenever she liked.
"Mrs. Anderson, what’s the hurry? We were colleagues. Can’t we talk?"
Hilla was scared when Julie pulled her. She subconsciously covered her belly and tried to stand steady.
Both Queeney and Julie noticed Hilla’s reaction.
Queeney had a baby before. She knew that Hilla subconsciously protected her belly.
Julie was jealous. She was pregnant before Rudi was sent to jail. She could have married Rudi. She might not be the mistress of the Anderson family, but Rudi was an Anderson.
After marrying Rudi, she would have no financial worries anymore and could buy luxury products without tightening her belt.
However, Rudi was sent into jail and might never be released.
Even Rudi’s mother was willing to give Julie all her savings for keeping the baby, the amount of money would not support her long enough. Moreover, she would never marry a nice guy with a child.
She took an abortion without hesitation. It took Julie one year to hook up with Mr.
Cornel.
Seeing that Hilla was pregnant, Julie could imagine that Hilla would become more important in the Anderson family. It drove her crazy.
The Anderson was a big family. Bruce was the president of the Anderson Group.
People admired Hilla. She had Bruce’s baby now.
Julie stared at Hilla’s belly fiercely. Hilla didn’t come from a big family and had neither social status nor any backer. Hilla was no different from her even Bruce was interested in her.
Julie had lost her child and everything. Hilla might be the same as well. Hilla’s face went ugly. She said, "Sorry, I don’t want to chat with you." "Mrs. Anderson, what’s the hurry?"
Julie was unwilling to let Hilla go. Queeney looked at them coldly.
She had figured out why Hilla didn’t participate in this competition. Hilla became more valuable after she was pregnant.
The Anderson family might not allow Hilla to get angry and anxious, which might affect her baby!
"What are you doing? Let me go."
Hilla’s eyes turned cold and she looked at Julie unfriendly. There were so many guests here. If she made any move, Queeney, as the organizer, would be embarrassed.
"It’s just a small talk between acquaintances. Don’t let it ruin your relationship." Queeney came over. Later, she was called away by others.
Queeney thought that Hilla should learn a lesson. Otherwise, she would never know how tough Queeney was.
Thinking about this, she heard a ’bang’ from her back.
All people at the party looked over. Seeing that Hilla stood in the crowd, Bruce coldly walked over.
Julie was in a bad shape. Hilla blinked her eyes and innocently asked in a low voice, "Ms. Green, are you okay?"
Dozens of glasses of red wine had splashed on Julie. Her white dress had been colored in red.
"Who brought you here?"
A young man ran out from the crowd. He threw his suit to Julie, who was sitting on the ground. He disagreeably looked at her and had no intention to help her up.
Julie made him look bad on such an occasion. Even though Julie was not important to him, it was a matter of the Cornel family’s reputation.
"It’s me. Do you have any issue with my wife, Mr. Cornel?"
Bruce said calmly. He wrapped around Hilla’s waist with his powerful hand.
Hilla looked up at him and said with a smile, "I’m fine. Ms. Green slipped over and I didn’t catch her."
No one could hurt her here, even she was pregnant.
Julie knew that she was about to leave, and kept pulling her. Julie wanted to let her fall.
If Julie wanted to fall, Hilla helped her.
Red wine was on Julie’s face. She looked funny and scary. Her makeup was smudged. She would have been completely naked if she didn’t have Mr. Cornel’s suit.
The man looked at Bruce and asked, "Mr. Anderson, this must be Mrs. Anderson. I suppose this might be a misunderstanding!"
Julie was getting angry. It was not a misunderstanding at all. She was kicked by Hilla, and her calf got weak. Then she knocked on the wine tower and fell to the ground.
"I see. You scared my wife, Mr. Cornel. She is a timid woman. Both you and your girlfriend should make an apology!"
Bruce spoke in a low voice, yet all people had heard his words. The atmosphere became cold and no one dared to come forward.
Queeney, the party hostess, walked forward and said, "Mr. Anderson."
"This is a personal issue between Mr. Cornel and me. Please don’t bother to interfere, Mrs. Richards."
Queeney was shocked. Bruce was not even let her speak.
The Richards family was one of the four major families. How arrogant Bruce was.
Ignoring people around him, Bruce stared at the young man stood in front of him.
Bruce was not afraid of facing Mr. Cornel, or even the Cornel family.
"Mr. Anderson, there are so many guests here. I’m afraid it’s not a good way to settle this issue."
The man said. He had made the Cornel family look bad. Moreover, he made Bruce angry.
"I don’t think so. Mr. Cornel, you are not going to apologize, aren’t you?"
"I’ll apologize. I’m sorry, Mr. Anderson and Mrs. Anderson. It’s my fault that I didn’t watch my staff. Sorry for bothering you, Mrs. Anderson."
Making an apology was not a big deal. It was better than making Bruce angry.
Julie sat on the ground and bit her lips. The red wind had splashed into her eyes and her eyes had turned red. She also said, "Mr. Anderson and Mrs. Anderson, I’m sorry."
Hilla raised her eyebrows and looked at the man beside her. She was proud of him!
...
Walking out of the party in Bruce’s arms, Hilla could feel that people were looking at her.
Women were jealous of her.
"I have never thought that Mr. Anderson is so caring about his wife. He is so domineering."
Bruce looked down and asked, "Are you unhappy with what I’ve done just now?"
Hilla wondered what Bruce meant. She didn’t mean that. Did Bruce ask her to praise him?
Hilla glanced at Bruce and whispered, "You are a bad guy."
This was a grown man’s trick. Hilla thought that she had known Bruce quite well.
Seeing that Hilla had understood, Bruce smiled. He tightened his grip on her waist, avoiding hurting her belly.
Bruce whispered into her ear, "We won’t go home today."
He managed to take her out and was only with her for a while. Orlenna would ask them to sleep separately if they went back home.
"Not going home? Where shall we stay then?"
Hilla confusingly looked at him. Bruce smiled mischievously and whispered in her ear, "We will stay at the hotel tonight!"
Bruce spoke in a low voice, and his breath was warm.
With a blushing face, Hilla lowered her head and said, "Why? Mom will get angry if she knows."
They were sitting in the car. William, the housekeeper, was at the driver’s seat. He worked in the mansion. After Tyree had passed away, William and his wife had been helping Orlenna manage the mansion.
William admired Bruce.
Without Bruce’s permission, he would not speak out about anything.
"We will go back home early tomorrow."
Bruce whispered, and his lips gently brushed on Hilla’s cheek.
Bruce seduced her on purpose. Hilla thought that she would better stay away from him.
"Mom said that we can’t get too close now and we can’t do it."
Hilla whispered. After saying that, she was so shy that her face turned red. She knew that there was a soundproof panel in the car, and William, who was at the driver’s
seat, couldn’t hear any words of their conversation.
After finishing her words, Hilla felt so ashamed that she buried her face into Bruce’s arms.
"I’ll only cuddle you. That’s all."
Bruce chuckled when he spoke. Knowing that he was teasing her again, Hilla stared at him.
"Let’s go to the hotel."
Bruce pressed the intercom. William was slightly stunned and quickly replied, "Yes, Mr. Anderson."
Hilla was surprised. She had not agreed yet. "We’ve forgotten Margaret. She’s still at the party."
Hilla suddenly realized. Margaret was with her. She had no idea when Margaret had left her.
She was being pestered by Queeney and Julie and did not notice what Margaret was doing.
She left the party by Bruce afterward. She only realized this after got into the car. "She will go back home on her own."
Bruce replied calmly. After leaving his sister at the party alone, neither did he worry about Margaret nor got nervous.
Hilla frowned and spoke to Bruce coldly, "Did you do this on purpose?"
Did Bruce do this only for taking her to the hotel without any trouble?
Since when did Bruce become so scheming?
He was a businessman. He would use any means to accomplish his purposes, even his sister.
"She is a big girl. She knows how to protect herself. Moreover, no one can hurt her here."
Everyone in the party knew that Margaret was an Anderson. People couldn’t wait to suck up and please her. How could they dare to make her angry?
Bruce had a good reason. Hilla still felt that Bruce didn’t worry about Margaret.
She took out her phone and called Margaret. The call was disconnected as soon as it got through.
Hilla wondered what was going on and if Margaret was in danger.
"Margaret hung up my call."
Hilla said in a daze. She unbelievably looked at Bruce.
As expected, Bruce frowned after hearing this. Soon, he casually said, "Maybe she’s not convenient to answer your call."
Hilla thought that Margaret was different from those phony ladies. She was at a boring party. Hilla didn’t believe that it was inconvenient for her to answer her call.
"Did she have an accident? Let’s go back and check."
"It’s unnecessary!"
Seeing that Bruce responded calmly, Hilla pursed her lips and had to suppress her worries. However, she secretly sent a message to Margaret.
At a corner in the party.
Margaret angrily glared at the man in front of her. For seeing his face clearly, she had to look up because she was forced to against the wall.
"Am I good-looking? Have you seen enough?"
Julian calmly asked in a deep voice.
His tone was so cold that Margaret flinched with guilty. Soon, she looked up again.
She had been squeezed by Julian for a year and had gotten used to his style. She had left the Jorgansen Group and would not be afraid of him.
"No, you are not good-looking. I wonder what you will do to me."
Margaret raised her little face and looked at her phone which was in Julian’s hand. She said angrily, "Give me my phone."
It might be Hilla who called her just now. Julian was a jerk. He must be worried that she would say bad things about him to Hilla.
What a scheming man he was!
"I can give it to you. You must work for me."
"Why? I have resigned from your company."
"I haven’t approved it!"
Julian said in a deep voice. With one hand supporting on the wall, he leaned forward and cornered Margaret.
"Well, is that my fault? Did I stop you to approve it?"
Julian was stunned. When Margaret worked for him, she always tried to please him.
Now, she didn’t need him anymore. What a capricious woman she was!
"You are absent from work."
When Julian finished his words, Margaret quickly nodded and said, "According to the Jorgansen Group’s regulations, any employee who is absent from work for three consecutive days or above will be dismissed. I don’t need to go back."
She had returned to River City for more than three days, and the Jorgansen Group surely would dismiss her.
Gazing at her proud little face, Julian calmly replied, "I’ve approved your leave application."
Margaret cursed Julian secretly. She did not ask for leave.
"I didn’t send you my leave note."
"Alan did it for you. You must thank him when you go back to your work."
Margaret secretly cursed Alan too!
