CHAPTER 236: SHE DOES NOT DARE TO RUN

Margaret was pulled out of the banquet. Although she was unwilling, she had to admit that sometimes Julian was right about something.

As a merchant, Julian knew to weigh the pros and cons.

Margaret sat in the passenger seat with a long face and suddenly said, "Hilla and my brother are still at the banquet."

She had to go back!

"Don’t worry. Mr. Anderson just took Hilla away."

Margaret was left there alone.

Margaret breathed a sigh of relief and muttered, "It’s good that Hilla left so that she won’t see it and feel bad."

After saying that, Margaret looked at Julian and said unpleasantly, "Why do you call her Hilla? You can’t call her Hilla."

Julian turned his head and saw the fierce expression on Margaret’s face. "Then what should I call her? We have known each other for years. Why can’t I call her Hilla?"

"No, you can’t."

It sounded very intimate. Margaret blinked and gritted her teeth. "Call her Mrs. Anderson."

Julian was two or three years younger than Bruce. He should show some respect to Bruce and his wife. Thinking of making Julian become Bruce’s brother, Margaret was so proud of her idea.

It was rare to see a girl as smart and quick-witted as her.

Julian was shocked by what Margaret said.

He even laughed. "Are you sure? Do you really want me to call her that?"

"Yes. That would be the best. If you call Hilla Mrs. Anderson and see her as your sister-in-law, then my brother will also be your brother." Margaret said.

Margaret was very content with what she said.

As quick-witted as she was, Margaret decided to tell him more about the tragic fate of the third party. A home wrecker would never end well, for karma was real.

"In that case, the Jorgansens and the Andersons will be a family."

Julian seemed to be serious, but also seemed to be joking. Margaret suddenly felt that she had reduced a rival for the Anderson Group.

"Isn’t it good to be a family? We can help each other in the future."

Julian nodded. "I think you are right."

Julian drove the car to an underground parking lot and then stopped.

Margaret looked up and immediately became alert. "What is this place? Why don’t you drive me home?"

"My license plate is restricted today."

"Nonsense. If your car is restricted, why are you still driving it? You have too much money to pay the fine, right?" Margaret thought.

"No, I have to go home."

"It’s so late. Your mother must be asleep, and your brother finally got the chance to be alone with Mrs. Anderson. Are you sure you want to ruin their moment?"

"I heard that he stopped providing your living expenses for over a year." Julian just reminded Margaret of the deepest pain in her heart. The thing that defeated Margaret was money.

"I live in this hotel. You can sleep here tonight. Tomorrow, you can claim credit in front of your brother."

"What credit? That I didn’t disturb their family reunion? I can try that." Margaret thought.

After all, it wasn’t the first time that Margaret saw their secret movements under the table. Did they really think she was unaware of that?

When they arrived at the front desk, a beautiful girl at the front desk said, "Mr. Jorgansen only booked a suite."

Julian nodded. He did not let Samuel come with him. The whole time, he was followed by the manager here, so he only booked one room.

"I need to book one more room."

Julian took out his bank card.

The beautiful girl glanced at him, delighted and embarrassed. "A tour group just came to our hotel and booked the rest of the rooms."

"Not even one room?" Margaret was astonished. What the hell? "Unfortunately, there is no spare room." That was bad.

Julian took back his bank card and room card and said, "Let’s go. There are vacant rooms in the suite."

When Margaret was working in the Jorgansen Group, she often went on business trips with Julian. They would sleep in a suite when there was only one room left in the hotel. Anyway, they slept in separate bedrooms. Margaret felt fine about that.

In the beginning, Margaret was on guard against Julian. Later, she thought that

Julian must be impotent or that his love for Hilla was exclusive so he had no interest in her.

Margaret didn’t make a big fuss. She and Julian had known each other for so long, so there was no need to pretend that they were strangers.

She just shared a room with this man. No one knew. She would leave the hotel the next morning.

In the hotel!

After sending seven or eight messages to Margaret, Hilla finally received Margaret’s reply.

’I’m fine. Don’t worry. You and my brother should seize the opportunity.’

"What is she talking about?" Hilla thought. She heaved a sigh of relief and raised her head. Suddenly, Hilla saw Bruce right out of the bathroom. Her face immediately turned red.

She seemed to realize what Margaret meant by opportunity. Bruce and Margaret had the same thought. "Are you relieved now?"

When Bruce saw Hilla’s expression, he knew that Margaret must have sent her a message.

Hilla didn’t hide it from him. She nodded slightly and responded in a low voice, "She told us to seize the opportunity."

Bruce lowered his head and kissed Hilla with satisfaction. "Good girl!"

Bruce’s aura quickly surrounded her entire body. His arms around her waist and he lifted her up.

"No, Mother said that we can’t have sex at this time. We haven’t passed the dangerous period."

Hilla was instantly nervous. Although she missed him, it was not easy for her to finally get pregnant. Even if Orlenna didn’t warn her, she would take good care of herself.

Bruce took her hand and kissed her fingertips. His voice was hoarse as he said, "I won’t touch you. You touch me!"

After he said that, he took her hand and moved down. Hilla’s face was burning.

Bruce kissed her, and then she lost consciousness.

This night was long.

The next morning.

The door of the hotel room opened a crack. Margaret secretly poked her little head through to ensure something.

Margaret knew Julian’s habit. Julian usually took a shower early in the morning. She could slip away at that moment.

However, before she could move, the door of the opposite room opened. Hilla walked out of the room with a ruddy face. Bruce was in high spirits.

The three of them met in the aisle, staring at each other in disbelief. Hilla was excited and said, "Margaret, why are you here?"

Then, a low male voice came from Margaret’s room. "Why are you up so early today? By the way, did you see my clothes?"

As Julian spoke, he walked behind Margaret. He was wrapped only in a bath towel and his upper body was naked.

Hilla took a deep breath and saw Margaret instantly go down on her knees. "Bruce, it’s not what you think. He seduced me!"

...

Julian was astonished. He hadn’t expected it to be so coincidental.

Last night, Bruce and Hilla lived in the opposite room!

What was even more coincidental was that Margaret was caught by her brother when she was about to run away.

Was such a coincidence in the world, or were they so destined? "Margaret, you didn’t go home? Why are you staying in the hotel?"

Hilla looked at Margaret in shock. She wanted to pull Margaret up, but she couldn’t help but look at Bruce beside her.

The man bit his lower jaw tightly, his eyes darkened. He didn’t look at Margaret on the ground but stared at Julian in front of him.

Hilla stood still. She looked at Margaret, who was lying on the ground desperately.

Hilla also didn’t expect that Margaret and Julian would be together.

And obviously, the two of them slept in one room last night.

"I thought that you finally have time alone. I didn’t want to go back and disturb you. However, there was no more room in the hotel last night, so..."

"I told Margaret to sleep here."

But nothing happened to them. Julian was just about to explain.

Bruce suddenly said coldly, "Go home."

Margaret shivered. She felt that Bruce didn’t literally mean going home. Instead, he was saying, "Margaret, you are dead meat."

Bruce didn’t argue with Julian. Hilla heaved a sigh of relief and quickly walked up to Margaret, "Get up."

Margaret grabbed Hilla’s arm, feeling like to cry soon.

"I can’t get up. My feet feel like jelly."

Hilla was suddenly embarrassed. Was it because of last night? Hilla couldn’t help but take a glance at Julian.

Margaret had a bad opinion of Julian two days ago, but now they slept in one room.

"Hilla, will Bruce beat me to death when we get home?"

Margaret was so scared! She didn’t know what to do.

"That won’t happen."

"What if it happens? I feel it will be worse than I thought."

Margaret hugged Hilla and sat on the ground. After a while, she thought of something. Margaret looked back and saw the man standing behind her.

"It’s you. You bastard. You made me like this. As long as I live, I will make you suffer."

Hilla quickly comforted Margaret. Although Hilla didn’t know how Margaret and Julian ended up living in the same room, it was obvious that nothing had happened between the two of them.

"Julian, I’ll take Margaret back first."

Hilla looked at Julian in embarrassment and took Margaret away.

"Hilla, I don’t want to go home!"

Margaret sniffed and grabbed the corner of Hilla’s clothes, walking extremely slowly.

Not far away, Bruce was sitting in the car, his face cold and expressionless.

Margaret was so scared that her whole body trembled and her legs were weak so she grabbed Hilla.

"How about we go home later?"

Julian caused that. From Bruce’s expression, he clearly didn’t want to hear Margaret explain.

The two of them slept in one room, and Julian walked out like that.

Not to mention Bruce, even Hilla thought something had happened last night.

Hilla looked at Bruce in the car and comforted Margaret, "We have to go home, sooner or later. Don’t worry. I’m here!"

No matter what, Margaret was the only daughter of the Andersons, and this could be a misunderstanding. Bruce wouldn’t let Orlenna harm Margaret.

"You must protect me later!"

Knowing that Hilla would protect her, Margaret felt relaxed a little bit.

Margaret still grabbed Hilla.

After all, Hilla was pregnant. As long as Hilla was standing in front of her, they would not do anything to her.

If they hurt the precious grandchild of the Andersons, that would be a sin.

Right now, Hilla had absolute power and status in their family. Margaret thought she could be protected by Hilla.

The car drove all the way to Lakeshore Center. Apparently, Orlenna still lived here.

Sitting in the car, Margaret whispered to the man that was driving, "Bruce, can listen to me now?"

Margaret was cautious, and she tightly grabbed the corner of Hilla’s clothes.

The man in the driver’s seat did not respond.

Margaret thought, "I’m over. He doesn’t want to listen to me at all."

Based on Margaret’s knowledge of her family, even if she explained, they wouldn’t believe her.

They must think she was a bad girl.

When the car stopped, Hilla could clearly feel Margaret shrank behind her.

Although Hilla felt sympathy for her, Bruce was so serious that she couldn’t say anything.

After all, seeing Margaret appeared in the hotel early in the morning with a naked man was extremely shocking. Hilla still couldn’t believe that.

Women were always at a disadvantage in this matter. They couldn’t ask Julian what happened to them last night.

Margaret and Hilla followed Bruce upstairs.

Margaret knew that she couldn’t run away. Even if she was in the hotel, she couldn’t run away. She did not dare to run.

The closer they were to the house, the more Hilla felt Margaret’s nervousness.

Margaret usually didn’t afraid of anything, but now she was.

Clearly, Orlenna and Bruce were very strict with Margaret.

The door opened, Hilla saw Orlenna sitting in the living room drinking black tea.

Before Hilla could speak, she saw Orlenna turn her head and smile at her.

"You’re back. Did you have your breakfast?"

"Not yet."

Hilla replied softly. She intended to have breakfast with Bruce, but they didn’t expect to see such a scene when they got out of the room.

"You’re so thin. Don’t starve yourself. You have had a good appetite recently. Bruce, take Hilla out to eat something."

Orlenna had a smile on her face, and she was very gentle. She held Hilla’s hand and said carefully, "You are eating for two people now. You can’t be as casual as before. Just eat whatever you want. You don’t have to rush back."

Seeing the smile on Orlenna’s face, Hilla felt something was wrong.

Only when Bruce pulled her out of the door did she hear Margaret, who was behind her, whisper, "Mom, I haven’t had breakfast either. Can I go with them?"

Different from the gentle attitude just now, Orlenna raised her eyebrows slightly and sneered. "What makes you think you can have breakfast now?"

Margaret immediately pulled her ears and knelt on the ground, crying, "Mom, I was wrong. I won’t have breakfast anymore!"
