CHAPTER 35: BRUCE WAKES UP

It was in the small garden.

Hilla walked along the small path to the East Courtyard. There was a rose room in between the East and the Main Courtyard. Hilla liked to read here, so Orlenna arranged for her a crystal bookshelf inside.

At this time, all the lights in the rose room were on. For the sake of Margaret’s cocktail party, the Anderson family had decorated the entire Main Courtyard.

Although this rose room was built beautifully, it was so far from the two yards that no one bothered to come here.

Before Hilla could go far, someone clamped his big hand on her shoulders. She almost subconsciously grabbed the man’s wrist, turned around, and swung her fist at him.

"Hilla, it is Julian!"

Hilla loosened her hands as she heard Julian’s low and hoarse voice.

Julian grabbed her wrist tightly and quickly brought her into the rose room. Hilla subconsciously shook his hand off before hearing what he said in a low voice helplessly, "Be quiet. Someone is following you."

This was the Anderson’s mansion. Wasn’t it normal for someone to follow her? "Not someone from the Anderson family."

Julian gave a simple explanation. Hilla looked up and saw Patrick running out of the flowers.

"Where is she? I saw her walking in this direction."

Patrick stood outside the rose room, looking at the bright-lit East Courtyard in the near distance. He seemed to be hesitating.

He was not familiar with the Anderson’s mansion, so he was afraid that he would cause many unnecessary troubles by running around the house.

The most important thing was that he could not afford to offend the Anderson family!

While he was hesitating, there was a rustling sound behind him. When Rudi saw Patrick, he was also surprised, "Why are you here, Mr. Palmore?"

Patrick had a guilty conscience. In addition, Bruce’s position in the Anderson family was becoming more and more important. He immediately became the target of the Palmore family’s flattery. Naturally, Patrick said politely, "I saw that the flowers here were beautiful, so I came to take a look. I didn’t expect your house to be built so well. I was so obsessed with it that I didn’t want to leave."

Rudi curled up his lips, and an indescribable smile appeared on his face. He glanced at the balcony not far away and said somewhat vaguely, "Indeed, the flowers here

are the prettiest."

In the rose room, Hilla couldn’t help but frown. Rudi’s look disgusted her.

The two men flattered each other for a while before leaving.

Seeing this, Hilla hurriedly ran out of the rose room after pushing Julian beside her away.

"You have been avoiding me these days and even asked your assistant to send me your design drawing. Why?"

Hilla had her back to him. She didn’t want to see Julian’s look. However, she still couldn’t remain calm.

"We’re just working partners."

"Don’t you feel guilty for avoiding me so deliberately? If we are just co-workers, why didn’t you bring me the drawing and tell me that personally?

"Do we have any other relationship besides working partners?"

Julian said in a low voice before Hilla denied, "In addition to work partner, I am your classmates when we learned martial arts. We used to go to the same primary school and worship a martial arts master together. I even taught you many skills and techniques when you were a newcomer. You said that we were just work partners. Hilla, you are self-deceiving."

The more she denied these, the deeper their relationship had been.

He even wanted to ask, if he could stop hesitating and take the initiative before, maybe their relationship would be different?

In the past, he had treated her as his sister, and later he had treated her as someone with a special identity that he couldn’t even explain himself.

He only knew that Hilla was still too young at the time, so young that he feared she couldn’t accept it if he confessed his feelings.

He had let nature take its course. He thought that they would be together as long as she grew up, but he forgot that something unexpected might happen at any time.

Life was unpredictable. No one knew what would happen in the next second. No one knew if the people who could originally be together would become strangers.

Hilla bit her lips when the dim light cast a soft radiance over her face.

Her features shone brightly under refracted light, and her lowered hands forcefully grabbed her dress.

"The Hilla I know is clear about what to love or hate, and she never hides her feelings. Is there anything between us that you can’t tell me?"

Julian stepped forward, grabbed her wrist, and blocked her way.

His eyes sparkling with earnestness settled on Hilla’s face. "You don’t have to avoid

me even if I am just a friend, or you will only mislead me. You..."

"Okay, I won’t avoid you, but let’s make things clear. I am married, and I can only be your friend."

"Alright!" Julian chuckled.

Friends? They have been friends and classmates for so many years. This was the best for them and he wouldn’t ask more.

"As long as you don’t avoid me, we are still friends."

Julian looked at Hilla in front of him, at her bright and enchanting face under the dim light.

He knew that she was straightforward and that she was actually a kind and caring girl with a seemingly cold aura.

Since she didn’t want to leave the Anderson family now, he would wait until she wanted to.

It was just that he felt more pity than relief for her marriage to an unconscious patient.

"Julian, we are just friends!"

Hilla’s determined look made Julian hesitate for a moment. He swallowed some words back and watched her left without turning around. In the end, he said to himself, "Alright!"

He thought, "It’s good to be your friend, as long as you don’t avoid me or ignore me."

There was a six -foot-wide small arched bridge past the garden. Hilla lowered her head to tidy up her dirty dress. She didn’t watch her step and missed it. Then half of her body fell towards the small stream under the arch bridge.

Hilla was quick to react. After turning around, she stood steadily on the roadside. She frowned at a loose green stone slab on the arched bridge and thought it seemed that Anderson’s mansion needed to be renovated!

In the grass, someone saw Hilla entered the East Courtyard. Finally, his gaze fell on the second floor’s balcony.

"What bad luck! I shouldn’t have attended any party today."

She had originally thought that she could take the chance to relax, but she hadn’t expected that she would suffer losses instead.

Not to mention that she dirtied her dress, she also sprained her ankle by the side of the arch bridge. Now, every step she took brought her ankle trembling pain, and in that great pain, she had to stop going upstairs.

Hilla then took a piece of ice downstairs and went upstairs with the handrail.

Everyone from the East Courtyard went to the Main Courtyard to help with the party.

It was difficult for Hilla to walk, but she managed to move to the door of her room.

The lights in her room were not turned on. Hilla was stunned. Before she could speak something, a dark shadow approached her from behind. Her nose and mouth were covered in an instant when she smelt a faint fragrance. Hilla immediately held her breath with vigilance.

She then grabbed the man’s arm with both her hands, bent down, and tried her best to give him an overarm throw!

...

With a dull thud, the black figure fell to the ground and let out a dull cry of pain!

Relying on her memory, Hilla reached out her hand to touch the switch by the door. Suddenly, the whole room was illuminated by the light, and she saw the man on the ground.

"It was you again!"

When she saw Rudi on the ground, Hilla was so angry that she wanted to stab a few holes in his body with a knife.

Rudi fell to the ground. He immediately felt that he was about to be shattered by Hilla, and the handkerchief in his hand fell to the ground.

He rolled on the ground for a long time before finally getting up. When he saw Hilla, he felt a little scared.

But soon, he forced himself to smile as he looked at Hilla’s swaying body. "You are getting more and more nimble. It’s pretty difficult to control you."

Although Hilla stopped breathing when she felt something was wrong, she still sucked in a lot of the fragrance.

At first, it was fine, but later, she felt that her legs were even more powerless. "You, how did you come in? Aren’t you afraid that mom and grandpa will know?"

Hilla moved, and Rudi immediately leaned against the door with vigilance. He locked the door and smiled at her.

"It doesn’t matter. If Aunt Orlenna finds out, I will say that you seduced me. It is you who wants a man. As for my grandfather, I am the only grandson of the Andersons. He won’t do anything with me."

Rudi’s fearless and sinister behavior annoyed Hilla.

However, she knew that it was almost impossible for her to run out. Rudi had tried to hurt her several times but failed. It was obvious that this time, he was even more ruthless. She had already started to feel weak after just taking a whiff of the fragrance.

"Base!"

The road to the outside had already been blocked. Hilla could only go into the room. However, could Bruce beat Rudi?

"Don’t worry. As long as you are obedient, I will treat you well. If you insist on not listening to me, don’t blame me for not taking pity on you."

Rudi looked at Hilla with bright eyes. He had longed for this woman and waited too long.

There had never been a woman who could make him spend so much effort, but Hilla

had this kind of magic. Even if he failed several times before, he never gave up when he thought of Hilla.

If he couldn’t get this woman, he wouldn’t be at ease even if he were to die.

"Don’t come over. Even if grandfather can’t bear to part with you, Bruce won’t let you off."

Hilla had already entered the bedroom and collapsed by the bed. She grabbed the quilt on the bed powerlessly, hoping that this person who was pretending to be asleep would quickly open his eyes.

When Rudi saw the person on the bed, a trace of hesitation flashed in his eyes. He quickly followed up with a mocking smile, "How can I be afraid of him? He was lucky that he didn’t die in a car accident. Today, I will sleep with his woman and he can do nothing with that!"

Rudi’s arrogant look made Hilla feel disgusted again and again. If he didn’t use dirty tricks, she could deal with him without Bruce’s help.

Hilla looked at Bruce who was motionless on the bed and pinched his leg in the quilt.

Her entire body was powerless right now and could not let him feel pain.

Hilla said angrily, "Bruce, hurry up and wake up."

"It’s useless to call that living dead. This kind of trash can’t even get up and pee. But if you shout louder, you might even wake him up.

"I’m going to sleep in his bed and sleep with his woman in front of him. This kind of trash can’t even make you happy on the bed. Why do you need to protect yourself for him?"

Rudi learned his lesson from the previous few times. He pulled off the tie on his neck and firmly tied Hilla’s hands and feet.

When he confirmed that she could not resist him, the smile on his face became more and more wanton.

"Hilla, I like you. I really like you, you little vixen. You are beautiful. I can’t even forget the fragrance on your body. If you can listen to me early, how can I bear to treat you like this?"

Rudi approached, grabbed Hilla’s ankle, and dragged her towards him. He quickly tore Hilla’s skirt.

With a malicious smile on his face, he grabbed Hilla’s snow-white neck and threatened, "As long as you serve me well, in the future, I can spare their lives."

"Bastard!"

Hilla gritted her teeth and couldn’t help but bite her lips to increase her strength.

She couldn’t help but look at the motionless figure on the bed.

Bruce still did not move. Was he not going to save her?

Even if he didn’t like her, she was still Mrs. Anderson. Bruce actually sacrificed her for himself!

Hilla felt wronged. This kind of grievance was worse than being bullied by Rudi.

She took care of him wholeheartedly. She did not expect that Bruce was such a conscienceless man. She was angry. If she had known earlier, she would have used a pillow to drown Bruce to death.

"Bruce, you son of a bitch. Do you want to be cuckolded?"

Hilla was so angry. If her hands and feet were not tied up, she would rush over and break Bruce’s neck.

Rudi sneered sarcastically. She was so beautiful that he was shouting, "He won’t wake up even if I stab him."

Rudi had learned his lesson from the last few times, so he didn’t hold back at all when he used his strength on Hilla this time.

Women were weak when fighting with men, not to mention Hilla was tied up.

The moment the skirt was torn, Hilla scolded the two brothers of the Andersons in her heart, wishing that she could send them to hell.

Rudi saw Hilla’s red eyes, and his heart thumped.

Although he was afraid that Hilla would settle the score in the future, he thought that as long as he subdued Hilla this time, she would be obedient in front of him in the future, and she would please him and beg him. How could she be willing to hit him?

After all, it should be difficult for a woman to forget her first man.

Thinking of this, Rudi was overjoyed. He no longer had any hesitation and only wanted to turn Hilla into his woman.

"What’s so good about marrying that good-for -nothing? He can’t even make you a real woman. If you be with me, I will get rid of him and let you be the real Mrs. Anderson."

When Rudi finished speaking, a soft scoff suddenly sounded. The man’s deep voice was indifferent as he said, "How?"
