CHAPTER 48: WHO IS MORE GOOD-LOOKING?

Tonight? Hilla was available, but she wondered why Rigel was looking for her.

"Yes. What’s the matter?"

Hilla asked.

There was a serious look on Rigel’s delicate and confident face. Rigel handed over a letter of challenge.

"I want to fight with you."

This was the first time someone had asked to fight with Hilla since she was discharged from the army. Hilla was actually a little excited.

Hilla looked at Rigel with suspicion, and she could not help laughing. "Rigel, have you learned martial arts?"

Rigel was certain about what he was doing. He handed over the envelope which said "Challenge" to Hilla again and said, "Do you dare to accept my challenge?"

"Is he trying to pull my trigger?" Hilla thought and smiled. The mole below her eyes was so beautiful as if it was shining with glamorous lights. Hilla was so confident and charming like a red rose blooming in the snow.

She was always passionate like a burning fire!

She took the challenge letter and said, "Rigel, I’m afraid that you don’t know I have learned boxing for more than ten years. I know more about martial arts than you."

If three men, like Rigel, who knew nothing about martial arts, fought together against Hilla, Hilla was not going to lose.

Hilla waved the letter in her hand and felt that this seemed a quite formal challenge. She would be threatened by Rigel’s look if she had not learned much about martial arts.

"I know!"

Rigel answered seriously, which surprised Hilla. Why did he seek to be beaten since he knew that Hilla had learned martial arts for a long time?

"Hilla, if I lose, I’ll treat you to a month’s meal. You can eat whatever you want."

"Oh my god! There should be such a good thing!" Hilla thought because she knew she wouldn’t lose. But after a second thought, she asked, "If you win, do I have to treat you to a month’s meal?"

She could see that Rigel was born with a silver spoon. He usually ate and dressed well, living a better life than she used to do. He was very likely to use up all the pocket money she had in a month.

After all, she had just given Halle half a million dollars, and if she were to treat Rigel to a month’s meal, she could go broke.

Fortunately, Rigel said, "I don’t need your treat. I want you to promise me one thing."

"OK, deal."

Hilla replied heroically without hesitation, which caused Rigel to ask, "Aren’t you going to ask me what it is?"

"There’s no need to ask. You won’t win anyway."

She deserved a good spanking for what she had said. Hilla knew that she seemed combative, but she couldn’t control herself. She was so excited to fight when she even didn’t need to be responsible for any injury.

Hilla said a fact, but it was a kind of contempt for Rigel.

However, he was not angry. Instead, he laughed. "Okay, I’ll wait for you at 7 p.m. tonight."

Seeing Rigel in high spirits, Lily moved over and asked Hilla, "Did Rigel laugh just now? He looked so good when he smiled!"

How could a man be so beautiful when smiling? Lily wanted to marry him desperately.

Hilla slapped the letter of challenge on her face, tidied up her clothes, and said, "I will prepare for battle!"

The fight would be in the Sky Clubhouse at 7 p.m.!

Before the Holt Corporation went bankrupt, Hilla would come to the Sky Clubhouse a few times every month. She was very familiar with the building where martial artists often gathered.

Hilla used to have her private hall here, so she didn’t know many people here.

After the school things were done, Rigel sent a car to wait for Hilla at the school gate.

Lily glanced at the Black Bentley and shook her head. "Rich people are simply extravagant."

Hilla grabbed Lily’s arm and said with a smile, "Do you feel the urge to marry into the purple?"

Lily rolled her eyes and looked up at an electric pole not far away. "The unattainable flowers can only be seen from afar and not be touched!

"In other words, I am not worthy of him."

Hilla almost burst out laughing at Lily’s playful look. The two of them got into the car, but Hilla joked again, "You really don’t want to marry Rigel?"

Lily sighed and said, "Who doesn’t like handsome or rich guys? It’s a pity that once I marry a rich guy, I have to say goodbye to my tasty and cheap snacks. Forget it! I will just be an ordinary person. I will learn about the melodramatic life of a rich

family from you and sometimes experience the luxurious life with you and Rigel."

Hilla was speechless before she laughed out loud. The driver sitting in the front was only looking at the flat asphalt road with a poker face.

A slender boy was standing at the entrance of the Sky Clubhouse, holding an umbrella.

It started to snow outside. It was the first snow since the beginning of winter. Hilla could feel the cold when she got off the car. A snowflake fell on her collar and then on her sensitive neck.

"Don’t hit his beautiful face. Remember not to hurt his arms and legs. I just want to see you push him to the ground very gently."

Hilla turned her head and saw Lily’s longing face. Hilla couldn’t help but call her psycho.

"You guys are here!"

Rigel handed Lily an umbrella and gave the one in his hand to Hilla. Then he turned around and walked into the hall.

The flying snowflakes sparkled under the light of the lamp in the dark night, like fireflies dancing around. It was more fantastic to see Rigel in this scene.

For a moment, Hilla felt that it was the Prince Charming who had walked past her.

And the scene was so beautiful that she was enchanted.

"What are you thinking about?"

Lily asked Hilla and bumped her arm when she saw Hilla standing still.

Hilla came to herself and smiled, "Rigel is so beautiful. I want to draw him."

Lily nodded. "Draw it and give the picture to me."

Lily would admire the drawing day and night, drooling over Rigel’s beautiful face.

Hilla entered the private meeting hall in the Sky Clubhouse ordered by Rigel.

Coincidentally, it was the room she used to reserve.

Even the venue was familiar to her. God must be on her side.

After changing clothes, Lily ran over and whispered, "Hilla, please show mercy to Rigel. He is delicate and can’t withstand your violent attacks."

Lily was clear about Hilla’s martial arts attainments, and she knew that Rigel would not win, so she could only ask Hilla to go easy on him.

Hilla nodded and said, "Don’t worry. He won’t lose his shirt."

Coincidentally, Rigel, who came out of the locker room, heard these words. He frowned. If Hilla went easy on him, he would lose his face as the most handsome boy in River University.

...

"Don’t humor me. Just fight. I may win."

Rigel awkwardly walked past Hilla without looking at her. He was not certain about his words but he stood upright, looking proud and aloof.

Lily shook her head and looked at Hilla. "Rigel is keen on face-saving."

Hilla nodded. "The pride of a man!"

"Safety first, Rigel. We don’t need an extra explanation of the rules. You may choose a weapon."

Hilla said generously as a senior.

Rigel’s face got dark again. He felt that he had been insulted. He pursed his lips tightly and stiffly said, "No, thanks!"

Lily stood outside the arena and talked about the rules. She used to go with Hilla and join in boxing contests. She could imagine how badly Rigel would lose.

In the beginning, Hilla and Rigel, as martial practitioners, bowed to show respect for each other. Hilla took a step forward. This simple posture could show her great power.

Rigel took a horse stance and stretched out his fist. It was obvious that he had been practicing hard recently. However, no matter how hard he tried, he could not beat Hilla, who was already a martial champion when she was little.

Hilla was very calm and confident. When Rigel attacked, she bent her lower body slightly, exerted force, bent her waist, turned around, and pinned his arms.

"Rigel, just admit defeat. I don’t want to break your arms and legs."

When Lily heard this, she quickly shouted, "Hilla, you promised not to hurt Rigel. You never hit good-looking people."

That was right. They should be gentle and tender to beauties.

Rigel felt that he was looked down upon by Hilla and Lily. Hilla kicked Rigel in the shin. Rigel was so in pain that he immediately knelt on one knee. Hilla grabbed him and pushed him to the ground.

"Rigel, you lost!"

This time, Rigel didn’t need to admit defeat because he was obviously defeated. His face was pinned to the ground!

Rigel pursed his lips. There was a hint of joy on his young and handsome face. But in an instant, he said with a straight face, "I lost. I will treat you to a month’s meal."

"Can I eat whatever I want?"

"Sure!"

"Okay, I want to eat hot pot tomorrow. I want beef and mutton."

Seeing this, Lily anxiously waved her hand outside the field, saying, "Take me along."

Rigel got up from the ground, tidied up his wrinkled clothes, and nodded calmly at Hilla. "Sure, but I only promised to invite you for meals, not Lily."

Rich people were so stingy. Could a month’s meal get you broke?

Hilla saw Lily’s disappointed look, but she could do nothing. Yet she would not miss the chance to have meals for free.

When Hilla and Rigel walked out of the venue, it was dark. The roads were covered in snow. The entire River City was dyed white in the dark.

Lily returned home early. Rigel asked Hilla about some movements at the venue before they two came out. Hilla shivered and frowned. "When will your car come back?"

Rigel said with a calm expression, "It’s snowing and the roads are slippery. Lily lives in the south of the city. We need to wait a little longer."

Hilla’s Maserati was still parked at River University. She said, "River University is not far from here. I can walk over there."

"I’ll go with you."

Rigel didn’t wait for her to respond. Instead, he took the lead and walked toward River University. Hilla had to follow him.

The two of them walked on the quiet street with their shadows. Rigel saw the two shadows, one long and one short, so he got closer to Hilla secretly until the two shadows on the ground were right next to each other.

"Rigel, how can you get back?"

Hilla’s words startled the guilty Rigel. He turned his head to the side, pursed his lips, and whispered, "I can walk back."

It was a little cold when the snowflakes fell on their body. Hilla shivered and glanced at the quiet streets around. It was not easy to take a taxi on this road at this time.

"I can drive you back. What do you think?"

"Alright!"

Without any hesitation, Rigel bypassed the front of the car and walked toward the passenger seat.

He was obviously waiting for her to drive him back. Hilla smiled with a little embarrassment and unlocked the car in a daze.

The red Maserati drew a long streak on the snow-covered road, but it suddenly stopped at a small alley at the corner of the street.

"What..."

Before Rigel could say something, he saw Hilla rushing out of the car with a loud bang and heading straight to the alley.

In the alley, Margaret was surrounded by a few men. They were all hooligans around and usually bullied students nearby.

Margaret felt that they were drunk. They stretched out their hands to touch Margaret. She anxiously struggled, "What are you doing? Don’t touch me. Do you know who I am? If you touch me, my brother won’t let you get away with this."

"We don’t know who your brother is, but you can know who we are, one by one."

"Damn you!"

Margaret shouted in panic. If she had known that it was unsafe around River University, she wouldn’t have followed Hilla here.

Each of these hooligans was thin, but there were four to five men in total. A woman was unlikely to beat them. Margaret’s hands were instantly grabbed by two people. She was dragged deep into the alley.

"You jerk, let go of me. I can give you the money. Please let me go."

She had never met someone sinister. She used to be treated like a princess by people around her, enjoying the kindness of the world.

When she was dragged in by these hooligans, she did not feel frightened. But now, when they touched her, Margaret felt despair.

Margaret heard the voices of those unscrupulous men. She could not see their faces in the dark alley. She only smelled a disgusting odor and saw those horrible scenes.

"Don’t worry. I want you and money!"

"This girl looks pretty and hot."

"Really? Look at me and tell me who is more good-looking?"

A clear female voice cut through the dark alley.

Under a bright beam of light, a slender and graceful figure gradually approached. The light pink down jacket she wore lined with her gorgeous face. The moment she walked out, the smile on her face was so beautiful that it could take one’s breath away.

Margaret saw the figure approaching as if she were looking at a fairy down from the heaven with dazzling lights. When Margaret saw that face, tears rolled down her cheeks.

Looking at those infatuated faces, Hilla winked mischievously and said with a smile, "What about taking me for a change?"

One of them drooled over Hilla and looked at her with greedy eyes. "We want both of you."

Hilla laughed with hands over her mouth. Her laughter echoed throughout the alley, clear and crisp but a little insidious. She said with a ruthless sneer, "Let’s see whether you can live to play with the two of us."
