Mr. Tycoon's Beloved Wife: The Madam No One Dares to Offend
Chapter 51: Did She Wrong Bruce?
CHAPTER 51: DID SHE WRONG BRUCE?
"What happened last night?" Hilla rolled her eyes and turned away.
Bruce looked at her blushing face. He could not help but chuckle, "Nothing happened last night."
He wanted to let it go so easily? No way!
Hilla used all her strength to shake off Bruce’s hands, but in the end, Bruce took use of this to pull her into his arms.
Her face hit his hard chest, and she was trapped in his embrace by his hands.
She was so thin that one hand was enough to hold her.
Bruce couldn’t help but raise his eyebrows when he felt the touch of her waist. He gave her a pinch.
"You..."
Hilla was stunned. She glared at Bruce. She blushed when she saw his smiling face. She tightly held onto the clothes on his chest and whispered, "Shameless."
Bruce’s voice was low and hoarse, as if there was a strong sense of love flowing out of his throat, "You crawled into my arms yourself, and you say that I’m shameless. You can’t act like this just because you’re at a young age!"
It was always Hilla who justified herself. Now she was experiencing a false accusation.
It just happened that Bruce had a stern and serious face so that he looked exceptionally reliable.
"You were the one who caused me to fall." She could not get up until now.
The arms around her waist were too strong. She could not even get up. Instead, she could only obediently stay in his arms. She looked up and said angrily, "How can you be like this?"
"What did I do?"
"You’re shameless. You’re acting like a hooligan." And he was still teasing her.
It made her suspect that she had a heart attack at such a young age.
Bruce chuckled. Looking at her cherry red lips, he whispered, "Is there anything wrong to do that to my wife?"
Hilla thought, "Of course! Everything was wrong."
"If you continue to treat me like this, I will tell your mother that you bullied me. Anyway, I am still young. She will believe whatever I say."
Hilla pretended to be spoiled, like a little child who just obtained a treasure that others would be envious of. Bruce could not help but laugh at her logic. He gently
touched her lips and said with a smile, "You also know that it is my mother. Mother would always favor her son. Besides, I just want to fulfill her wish of having a grandson sooner. Even if what you said is true, she will only support me."
Hilla seemed to be frightened by this explanation. She froze for a moment, and then said in horror, "You ... you want to have sex with me?"
He said that he wanted to fulfill Orlenna’s wish of having a grandson. Didn’t that just mean making love?
Hilla felt bad when she thought of what she had to go through before having a baby.
She was still in Bruce’s embrace, but it was like falling into a wolf’s den, and there was a danger of being eaten at any moment.
She didn’t want this...
Bruce was stunned by her shocked expression. He stared at the woman with a deep gaze, "You don’t want?"
"Of course I don’t want to. Let me go."
She was afraid!
No matter what, this was her first time. Would it appear that she was too frivolous if she just agreed?
Hilla broke free from Bruce’s embrace and rolled off the bed. She quickly took a few steps back and looked warily at the gloomy man on the bed. She bit her lips, "Our marriage is arranged. We don’t have any foundation of love."
"So?"
Bruce looked at her. His deep and dark eyes were cold. He bit every word that came out from his lips, which carried a trace of anger.
His hand was stranded mid-air. Without the touch of Hilla’s waist, he felt empty and uncomfortable.
He said lightly, but somehow those words were powerful. Hilla didn’t notice the coldness on his face. She bit her lips and whispered, "No matter what, we should first fall in love, then, and then..."
She was only twenty. Her life was completely upside down!
She got married before having a boyfriend. She can’t mess up at the last step. She insisted on having a romance!
Bruce chuckled, "You want to fall in love with me?"
He already got the prize and now was told that he broke the rules.
He had taken so many shortcuts in his life, but Hilla wanted to deprive him of this advantage. Bruce was ready to have a sexual relationship with his wife and he wouldn’t stop!
Hilla rubbed her fingers with her head lowered, "I didn’t mean that. Not confined to you..."
"So, you want to have a romance with others?"
"What?"
"Do you know you’ve married?"
"Others don’t know."
After muttering to herself in a low voice, Hilla suddenly realized that what she said was misleading. Looking at Bruce’s dark and handsome face, she coughed and hurriedly said, "I’m just joking.
"I’m going to take a shower!"
Without waiting for Bruce to speak, Hilla plunged into the bathroom. She was insane to ask Bruce to date her!
After the heavy snow, the winter arrived. This year, the snow had arrived early, and soon they would celebrate Christmas.
Before winter vacation, River University was preparing a fashion competition. All the students of the Department of Fashion and Design were required to participate, and there were also famous clothing companies and design giants in the industry.
The work winning first prize would be adopted by a well-known clothing company in the industry and produced and sold onto the market.
For students, having their clothes worn by ordinary people was the greatest accomplishment.
Hilla had once dreamed that all the men and women on the street would wear the clothes she designed.
Therefore, this time, for this big project, Hilla locked herself in the studio every day and carefully made her design. Lily felt that such a hard-working Hilla was like a cork bobbing up. She couldn’t help but tease, "Dear, what’s wrong with you!"
Hilla rolled her eyes at Lily and then continued drawing lines. She said in a low voice, "What did you see on my face?"
Lily immediately became spirited. She quickly came over with a smile, "Rigel invited us to dinner tonight. You should be hungry."
Was she hungry or Lily hungry?
"I remember Rigel only said he would treat me to a meal for a month. He didn’t say I can bring others, right?"
As soon as Hilla spoke, Lily immediately hugged her arm. Lily rubbed her head against Hilla’s shoulder, "My dear Hilla, my Goddess, look what a painful life I am living! Please! I don’t have any requests. Just give me a full meal. I won’t ask for a seafood feast."
Hilla couldn’t help but roll her eyes, snorting, "Stop it. There’s no way. I have something to discuss with Rigel today."
"What is it that I can’t know? You have a private meeting with another man behind Bruce. Aren’t you afraid that he will be infuriated and eat you, my little rabbit?"
...
"Come on. Bruce won’t know."
Hilla wasn’t worried, but she felt a little guilty. If one day Bruce saw her eating with another man, what would he feel?
She was kind of looking forward to seeing that.
"If you don’t take me with you, I’ll tell Bruce. Please, Hilla. I’ve already run out of money for this month. I’ll really starve to death if you say no."
Lily sniffed, not letting go of Hilla’s arm.
"You spent all your money?"
"My mother is so stingy. We are not as rich as the Anderson family, ok? She gives me a fixed amount of living expenses every month. She won’t give me more. I just bought a dress two days ago. I’m really financially stretched now."
"Now you know how miserable a woman who was not born in a rich family lives!" Lily thought.
Hilla nodded in understanding, "It seems that you value beautiful dress more. Okay, then you can just starve."
"Won’t your conscience hurt?"
Hilla put away her things and stood up, shaking her head, "No!"
Her heart could also jump fast.
Looking at Hilla, Lily threw herself onto the table in grief. "Hilla, you’re too cruel. I’m at the dead-end!"
"I’ll bring you a barbecue when we finish eating!"
Hilla’s voice came from the door. The next second, Lily sat up straight from her chair. Her eyes sparkled as she looked at the door. She said excitedly, "In this world, only Hilla is good. Being your friend is such a blessing!"
Hilla couldn’t help but shiver when she heard Lily screaming. She quickly jumped out of the studio.
Lily’s voice was really not pleasant to hear!
Hilla didn’t expect Rigel to really treat her to a barbecue. She felt like Rigel was another her in the world!
"Lily wants to come, but I refused. I even said I wanted to bring her a barbecue."
Hilla glutted herself with delicacies while talking. Rigel asked curiously, "Why didn’t you bring her?"
Hilla didn’t expect him to ask such a question. She laughed, "You owed me this. If I take her with me, wouldn’t it mean that you have to be responsible for both of us?
Besides, I’m already embarrassed for this."
Although she said she was embarrassed, in fact, she did not eat less.
Rigel pushed a whole plate of crayfish and grilled wings over and said seriously, "It’s all yours."
Rigel looked delicate. He was cold when he didn’t speak. However, Hilla always felt that he was a little cute when he spoke, like the most popular boyfriend of these days.
Unfortunately, she couldn’t fall in love with anyone now.
"Can you teach me more at night?"
Rigel pursed his lips and spoke. Hilla tasted the food on the table without hesitation. She nodded at Rigel’s request, "You seem like just starting to learn martial arts. Why do you suddenly like such hard sports?"
She thought that people like Rigel only cared about how to maintain cool. Of course, it was not safe for boys to be too handsome. He needed to have some self-defense skills.
Rigel lowered his head and ate the food in front of him. But he suddenly raised his head, "It was because of you!"
A half-eaten skewer fell onto the plate. Hilla was so scared that she quickly picked it up. She lowered her head guiltily and wiped her mouth with a tissue. She pursed her lips, asking, "It was because of me?"
This man liked her? No way! Was she betraying Bruce?
She felt guilty.
"A girl like you can beat that punk. I am a man, but I have to hide behind you. I’m embarrassed."
It turned out to be the pride of a man. Hilla heaved a sigh of relief.
She thought Rigel wanted to have the same hobby as her because he liked her. It turned out that she thought too much. She was too narcissistic because of her beauty.
"It doesn’t matter. You were the one who called the police last time." Rigel was already very outstanding. He couldn’t be more than that!
"It is a citizen’s duty to call the police when you see something illegal. You are different."
He had never seen a girl as brave as Hilla, nor had he seen a girl who could calmly knock out those men. He had always thought this was the thing man should do, but Hilla just did it with calm.
Such a girl was like a fierce wind, like a gentle rain, like air, like a gurgling stream.
She was beautiful and charming, but she was hard to catch.
Rigel’s gaze fell on Hilla, which made her heart skip a beat. Feeling nervous, she forced a smile, "Isn’t it the same? We all have one head and one pair of hands. I haven’t grown into three heads and six arms."
"You are stronger and braver than ordinary girls. You are the one I have seen the most..."
"I’m full. Why don’t I bring these back to Lily? She’s still waiting to eat."
She was afraid that the next sentence Rigel would say is "I like you". If that was the case, she might feel even more guilty.
Rigel was stunned. He blinked and said, "Alright!"
Hilla handed the food back to Lily and went back to the Anderson’s without stopping.
Along the way, she was thinking whether she fell into Rigel’s trap. Could it be that he deliberately competed with her? He knew he would lose to her, so he said he would treat her to a month’s meal if he lost. A month! They would get close to each other. Wasn’t this the best time to improve their relationship?
Why didn’t she figure it out before? Why would she fall into Rigel’s trap? She could only blame herself for not being aware of her charm. Rigel was actually very frank about his feeling to her.
Hilla examined how they got along these days. God! His eyes never seemed to leave her. Was she blind to not notice?
With this frustration, Hilla went home. She stood at the door of the bedroom, hesitating whether she should confess her sins to Bruce in advance.
"How long do you want to stand outside?"
Bruce’s deep voice came from the room. Hilla was stunned. She looked around with lips bitten. Then she carefully opened the door.
Inside the bedroom, Bruce was sitting upright on the bed. He was seriously typing on the keyboard in front of him. His eyes were deep, and he looked like he was busy with something important.
Hilla moved slowly and walked over, but stopped when she was still a distance away from the bed, "How did you know that I’m back?"
Didn’t he say that he couldn’t get out of bed? She didn’t make any noise either. How did this man know?
Bruce stopped what he was doing and raised his head to look at Hilla’s small face.
He opened his lips, "You stood at the door and didn’t come in. Did you wrong me?
You have a guilty conscience."
