Mr. Tycoon's Beloved Wife: The Madam No One Dares to Offend
Chapter 88: The One You Care Is Your Future Grandson
CHAPTER 88: THE ONE YOU CARE IS YOUR FUTURE GRANDSON
Hilla was not an idiot. Bruce had just scared away those young men by using her strength. Did he even hear himself? How could she, Mrs. Anderson not know the Andersons’ rules if they existed?
Holding his hand, Hilla smiled particularly attractive, "Okay. Your family rules say that you can’t hit your wife, but getting beaten up by your wife is definitely not against the rules!"
Bruce frowned. Did Hilla say she wanted to beat him up?
Bruce cleared his throat awkwardly and said in a low voice, "The yard is dirty. You should clean it up for your sister first."
"Bruce, don’t tell me you are scared? You provoke those people to fight with me, and then what does it mean if you don’t attack them yourself?"
This man was too cunning, even using her strength against his rival in love. Bruce whispered, "The Andersons’ rules say we can’t fight with women."
"There are so many rules in your family. Do you have any rules that after being married, you can’t associate with your ex-girlfriend?"
"We don’t have this!"
Hilla rolled her eyes and said with a red face, "I knew you lied to me!"
After saying that, she kicked Bruce’s calf. The kick was not heavy, but it just happened to hit the calf. Bruce groaned and fell onto the cushion.
Looking at Bruce’s wrinkled handsome face, Hilla felt a bit relieved, "Don’t worry, I won’t hurt you. At most, I’ll let you hurt a little more."
After that, Hilla and Halle happily entered the house, leaving Bruce frowning in the middle of the two dogs in the cold courtyard.
"You went too far. Even if he took advantage of you to drive them away, he still cared about you. He was afraid that you would be stolen away by those young boys. Why did you kick him? I saw that he didn’t get up for half a day. I’m afraid that he hurt badly."
Halle looked at Hilla through the glasses in the room and couldn’t help but remind him.
She was afraid that Hilla would vent her anger on Bruce and even hurt him. Besides, since she had decided to go back with him, couldn’t they stop longer?
With a cold snort, Hilla peeled a piece of sugar for herself and said, "If he could lie to me, I could kick him to relieve my anger. Moreover, he is so tricky. If I don’t take revenge, I will be deceived by him someday. Aren’t you worried about me?"
Well, this was typical of her younger sister Hilla. She would never silently get wronged. Even between husband and wife, she had to have the advantage.
She didn’t know if she should worry about Hilla or Bruce after Bruce brought Hilla back.
"Alright, your anger has been vent. Go and take a look at him. Didn’t his legs just recover after the illness? Your kick was strong enough to hurt his calf. He has been sitting on the ground for so long. Don’t tell me you break his leg."
"That’s impossible. I know what I’m doing. I never hurt people randomly."
Being reminded by Halle, Hilla was a little flustered. Hilla frowned and looked worried. When she was about to run out, she saw Bruce slowly standing up.
However, Hilla found that he was standing on the ground with one foot. The leg that she had kicked was lifted. Hilla’s heart suddenly thumped. She put down the cup in her hand and ran out.
"Is his leg OK? What did I do! This is Christmas!" Hilla felt guilty.
Halle couldn’t help but shake her head with a smile, "She says that she doesn’t care about him? Look at how nervous you are."
Only her silly sister, who was kind and innocent, would be deceived by Bruce again and again. Even she could see that Bruce was pretending, but Hilla was so nervous that she ran out immediately.
"Bruce, are you alright? Can you move? Don’t tell me it broke!"
When Bruce lost his balance, Hilla quickly ran over and took the initiative to steady Bruce. She looked at Bruce’s legs with a worried expression. She almost squatted down and took off Bruce’s pants to check his legs.
Bruce’s expression was grave. His thin lips were tightly pursed. And his brow furrowed. It seemed that he was in extreme pain.
However, when Hilla asked him, he only shook his head slowly and said in a low and hoarse voice, "I’m okay. I will be fine after a day of rest."
"How can you be fine when you are in so much pain? I must have kicked too hard just now. I forgot that your legs have just recovered. You are fragile than others. Although you look quite strong, you need to be taken good care of."
Hilla frowned. She nervously checked Bruce and carefully helped him back to his room. She poured him water and looked for medicine boxes everywhere.
The pharmacy was far away. Fortunately, Halle who was pregnant prepared a lot of common medicine in case.
Hilla helped Bruce onto the bed. She was so nervous that she tried to pull off Bruce’s trousers. Bruce was so scared that he quickly grabbed her hand and whispered, "The door isn’t closed yet."
Hilla halted and said, "Halle won’t look!"
Bruce coughed awkwardly. He also felt that Halle had no interest in him, but ... he felt that it was too embarrassing.
"Old men are troublesome."
Although Hilla said in disdain, she still got off the bed and closed the door.
Bruce heard her words, his face fell immediately.
It turned out that she was looking down on his age!
Hilla rolled up Bruce’s trousers. When she saw the thin layer of skin on his calf that had been taken off, her face closed and sullen.
Then, she carefully poked at the place where Bruce had been injured. Looking at his furrowed brows, she nervously said, "Although I didn’t break your bones, I might be hurt your muscles. It’s safer to use some medicine."
Bruce snorted coldly. Before he could say anything, Hilla sprayed the medicine on his leg.
Bruce couldn’t help but let out a muffled groan. A thin layer of cold sweat appeared on his forehead. "Hilla, didn’t you know that this medicine cannot be directly sprayed on the wound?"
Bruce gritted his teeth, but he still tried his best to maintain his gentle voice.
Hilla smiled complacently. She put the medicine back into the medicine box and tilted her head to look at Bruce. She said with a mischievous and innocent smile, "I know. I sprayed it on purpose."
He lied to her and made her so nervous. Did he think that she was a three-year-old child? He should pay for what he had done.
Bruce was stunned. He looked up at Hilla and saw Hilla stretch out her fair hand and smiled innocently, "You lie to me that your legs are broken! By the way, this kind of injury medicine can work faster if you spray it up and rub the wound."
As soon as she finished speaking, Hilla’s hand had already covered his wound. A sharp stinging pain immediately swept through his body and he almost jumped up from the bed!
...
Bruce only had suffered minor bruising. Hilla had practiced martial arts for so many years. The moment she lift his pants, she could tell that Bruce was pretending.
How could this pain paralyze him?
He didn’t hurt his bones or tendons. It was just a sprain.
Hilla had been practicing martial arts for so many years. She thought that she had a sense of proportion. But she had never thought that she would be tricked by Bruce.
"Hilla, stop! It hurts!"
Bruce frowned and said in a low voice. Only then did Hilla stop her move. She snorted, "It turns out that you really hurt now, not fake pain."
Bruce coughed softly, "It really hurts now."
"Bruce, you are a big liar!"
Hilla pressed hard on the wound on Bruce’s leg, and then she turned around and left the room in a huff. Bruce helplessly rubbed his temples.
Pretending to be injured didn’t work.
"You two, don’t be a lair like him in the future. You can’t lie to the girl puppies, you know?"
The puppies were eating the bones she threw. Luckily, these two little guys were not picky.
As Hilla muttered to herself, the two fluffy fellas wagged their tails and smacked the bones happily.
Halle glanced at them and smiled. "Stop feeding them. Look at how much they eat. If you keep feeding them like this, they will become fat like pigs."
"You hear her, Hansel and Gretel."
The two little guys seemed to understand what she was said. They stopped eating and ran away together, leaving behind a floor full of food residue.
Halle swept the yard clean and said to Hilla, "Don’t vent your anger on the puppies. Those little fellas were almost scared to death by you."
"Halle, I am so mad at Bruce. His legs were fine, but he even sat on the ground for a long time, pretending that his legs were broken. I was so scared that I almost cried. Do you know that?"
Halle nodded. "I know. Even if you cried, it’s because you’re worried about him. If he was a stranger, even if his two legs are broken, you won’t be able to shed a drop of tear."
"He knew that I was worried about him but still lied to me. That’s even more despicable."
Hilla grabbed the dough in her hand angrily.
In the Anderson’s.
Margaret came out of Tyree’s yard and pouted unhappily.
"Mom, why do you always pamper Lucas’s family? They are so annoying. I don’t know what Grandpa thought at that time. How can he take such a family back to the Andersons?"
Orlenna glared at Margaret and said in a low voice, "How many times have I told you? You have to be careful every time you speak. Why are you not listening? Is this something that you can judge?"
Although Lucas was a mistake, her mother- in-law died early because of this thing. At first, Tyree still had a grudge against Lucas and his mother. But after a long time, his heart softened. Lucas was also his child. It was normal to bring him back.
It was just that he had not expected this son to be troublesome.
What was even more unexpected was that her husband would die young, and the Andersons had no choice but to hand the group to Bruce. Tens of thousands of people in such a large corporation were all up to Bruce.
When Bruce took over the Anderson Group, he was only twenty-three years old. It was normal for Lucas and Rudi to think they had a chance.
"Bruce and Hilla refused to come back. This Christmas is boring. If I had known, I would have lived with them in the countryside."
Margaret took the gifts that she received every year and looked up. "Mom, can I go to the countryside and call them back?"
"Can you stop making trouble for me? Stay in the Andersons and review your book. Don’t go anywhere."
"No. Bruce and Hilla were enjoying themselves in the countryside but I can’t do. This is too unfair."
Orlenna took a deep breath and shook her head. "Can’t you bear to see Bruce and Hilla sticking with each other? I want them to live happily in the countryside and get me a grandson. I’m afraid that they will get divorced. In the end, I won’t even have a daughter-in-law."
The more she thought about it, the more heartache she felt!
"Mom, I found that the one you care about was not my brother but your future grandson in Hilla’s belly."
Margaret smiled proudly. She finally found her brother’s value in the Andersons. She was in a good mood. The more she thought about it, the happier she felt.
"Enough, you’re just an unmarried girl. Stop talking nonsense here. What do you
know? If it weren’t for your brother’s accident last time, why would I be so worried..."
For it was simply a blessing to her that Bruce was able to wake up this time. It was a miracle.
Bruce had been in a coma for more than half a year. She was used to this kind of depressing feeling. Although she didn’t want to interfere with the kids’ lives, she had no choice but to urge them. Without the reliance, not only her, even Hilla’s life could be hard in such a big family.
She was afraid that when the time came, she would not be able to protect her daughter and daughter-in-law.
"But think the countryside is quite good. Bruce is quite used to living there. I don’t know when they will come back. Mom, are we not going to call and urge him to return?"
"No need. He will come back soon when the company needs him."
But she did not know if he could bring her daughter-in-law back with him at that time.
Orlenna was worried when she thought of this. Her son finally got married and recovered from illness. Unexpectedly, her daughter-in-law left.
Being a parent was hard!
The village was fun during Christmastime. After all, this was the time to relax.
Hilla and Halle visited many neighbors and made friends with many villagers.
She finally became familiar with everyone and asked them to take care of her sister.
Halle could not help but laugh and pulled her out, "Do you want all the people in the village to take care of me? Or do you want to greet the whole village and tell them that you have a sister who needs to be taken care of?"
Hilla held Halle’s hand tightly, pouting her lips as she said, "I’m going back to River City tomorrow. How can I be at ease with you here alone? And I heard that pregnant women need people to accompany them. I’d better tell Lilian to come over to accompany you every night."
Looking at Halle’s belly that was not bulging, Hilla felt inexplicably worried.
She did not know much about the pregnancy, but she knew that it must be very dangerous. It must be very difficult to give birth to a new life!
